    This study aimed to (1) find out how to develop a simple experimental tool for Melde‘s experiment, (2) determine the feasibility level of simple melde‘s experiments. The method used in this research was Research and Development which was adapted from Thiagarajan (4D) including define, design, develop and dissemination. This research was done until the development stage. The results of the study includes the simple experimental practice of melde‘s experiment and the feasibility level of simple experimental tool of melde‘s experiment.  Based on 86,7% of experts’ judgement, the simple experimental tool is categorized into very feasible. The result of trial experiment in one on one, small group and fields are 83.3%, 87.5% and 90.9 % respectively. The three experimental results were categorized into highly feasible. Thus, the development of simple experimental tools for melde’s experiment is worthy as a learning media

    Innovation in a learning is an important factor in determining the success of the learning process of learners. Therefore, teachers should be able to choose and determine either a strategy, method or even a learning approach in accordance with learning materials and learning objectives. The use of methods or appropriate learning techniques on a learning material will support the effectiveness of the process in it. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of brainstorming techniques on student physics learning outcomes on learning material form Substance. This research is a quantitative research. Technique of collecting data (was) using test. Moreover, research hypothesis was tested using t-test formula. Based on the results of data analysis obtained, the average score on the experimental class is 81.66 while that on control class is 71.00. Hypothesis testing which obtains tcount = 4,595 with price t table = 2,000, indicates that the price of t arithmetic is not in the acceptance area of H0. H0 is rejected because the acceptance area is between - ttable = - 2,000 to ttable = 2,000 for 60 of degree of freedom with significance level 5%. Therefore, Ha is accepted. It means that there is significant impact of brainstorming toward students achievement on learning state of matter

    Researchers have completed research on the development of wind speed measuring tools based on Adobe Audition 1.5 in innovation and implementation of scientific physics. The purpose of this research is to get a calibrated wind speed measuring instrument, valid, and have good feasibility. The method used was an experimental method, that is designing, making, calibration, and validation. The results reveal that the tool made is well calibrated. The calibration results indicates that the tools is  very well, with a fault tolerance of 1.77%. Based on the result of feasibility test by two validators, it is obtained score of 100  which means the tool made is very feasible

    Efektivitas Blended Learning Berbasis LMS dengan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri pada Materi Fluida Statis terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Siswa

    This research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of blended learning on LMS with inquiry learning mode to students concept mastery. The research sample used was 68 students of Senior High School in Bandarlampung. In experimental class, the researcher used blended learning based on LMS with inquiry learning mode, while in control class the researcher used conventional mode. The research design used was Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. After all data were collected, the data were tested for normallity, homogeneity, and ancova. Based on the result of ANCOVA with Fcount > Ftable  (15,45 > 3,98), it shows that there is the difference in the average of students concept mastery in experimental class and control class which means that blended learning based on LMS with inquiry learning mode gives a significant impact to the student concept mastery. In addition, it can effectively enhance the student concept mastery proven by the difference of N-Gain average in experimental class which is 0,84 with the high category and in control class 0,70 with the average category

    The objective of this research was to determine the volume expansion coefficient of vegetable oil and water as the effective way to study the fluids’ properties when they are heated. The vegetable oil used in this research is the unused vegetable oil of Filma, while the water used in this study is distilled water. The main instrument in this study is the dilatometer which works based on the principle of fluids expansion. The research methods adopted the methods of the previous researchers, in which the experiment of fluids volume expansion had been conducted in two stages for each fluids (in this case, the fluids were vegetable oil and water). The first stage was heating fluids indirectly through absorbed and distributed heat by an amount of water inside the boiling jug. In the second stage, the heat source was stopped and fluids were allowed to continue expanding in volume due to the rising temperature before the fluids finally experiencing volume contraction due to the decrease in temperature. When the cooling process was carried out, observation and recording of data of fluid column length in glass pipe as a function of temperature were held. Based on those data, the changes in fluids volume due to the cooling process could be estimated. By utilizing the linear relation between volume change and temperature change, the volume expansion coefficient values of vegetable oil and water were (7,2 ± 0,2) x 10-4/0C and (3,2 ± 0,2) x 10-4/0C within the limits of the accuracy of the measuring instrument used in the study

    The aims of this research is was to find out the profile of overall science critical thinking ability and based on the gender of viii grade students of SMPN at Ende city. This research was a descriptive research. The population of this research were all the VIII grade students of SMPN at Ende city academic year 2017/2018. As many as 804 students and the sample were 10% of the populations, they were 80 students. This research used random sampling technique. The data were obtained from the score of science critical thinking ability. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. the result shows that the average of science critical thinking ability of students was 66,84 which is categorized as medium or critical enough. Meanwhile, based on the gender perspective, the female group obtained the average as 68,56 which is categorized as high or critical. Meanwhile, male obtained the 62,03 which is categorized as medium or critical enough

    This research aims to produce teaching materials based on science laboratory which is valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students’ scientific communication skill. The development of teaching material used the R&D model and was implemented in 7th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Ende in the second semester of 2017/2018 by using the Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used documentation, observation, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research are:1) Teaching material developed is valid to be used. It consists of Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student Worksheet and Test of student learning outcomes; 2) The practicality of teaching material is categorized into feasible according to lesson plan implementation, students give a positive responses toward teaching material and the implementation of teaching material; and 3) The teaching material is effective in terms of: (a) Improvement of students’ learning achievement; (b) Improvement of students’ scientific communication skill. Thus, the teaching materials based on science laboratory are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students’ scientific communication skill

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan evaluasi model CIPP (Contexs, Input, Prosess, Product), mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada bidang studi IPA dan mengetahui keefektifan proses pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan evaluasi model CIPP di SMP IT Raudlatul Jannah. Penentuan keefektifan suatu proses pembelajaran dilihat dari seberapa besar tingkat ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditentukan pada awal pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan model CIPP dengan mengevaluasi tiap komponen konteks, input, proses dan produk untuk mencapai proses pembelajaran yang efektif. Sumber data penelitian adalah Guru IPA, wakil bidang kurikulum, serta Kepsek yang berada di SMP IT Raudlatul Jannah. Pengumpulan data primer menggunakan instrumen observasi sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui dokumentasi dan wawancara. Data hasil observasi yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif sedangkan data hasil dokumentasi dan wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang meliputi persyaratan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan kegiatan pembelajaran dinyatakan cukup efektif

    Telah dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran quantum teaching untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika pada materi optik di MTs Nurul Huda. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari tidak maksimalnya siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru mata pelajaran IPA. Hal ini disebabkan karena siswa sering kali hanya bermain dan bergurau bersama teman-temannya, tidak begitu mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru di depan kelas. Setelah mengkaji dari beberapa literatur, penulis menemukan bahwa metode pengajaran yang tepat dengan hal tersebut adalah metode quantum teaching.Dengan Memanfaatkan pola perilaku siswa dan mengatur atau mendesain lingkungan serta suasana belajar menjadi menyenangkan bahkan terkesan bermain-main namun sebenarnya serius, diharapkan hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran quantum teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi optik di kelas VIII1 MTs Nurul Huda. Hasil belajar pada penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata kognitif pada siklus I dari 70,43 menjadi 80,43. Ketuntasan klasikal mengalami peningkatan dari 61% menjadi 87%. Nilai rata-rata afektif siswa dalam hal minat meningkat dari siklus I sebesar 68% menjadi 85% pada siklus II.
