Passive bistatic radar utilises illuminators of opportunity such as FM, DAB, and DVB-T presented in the radio spectrum to track targets within their range. The main thesis objectives were the design of a low-cost DVB-T based passive bistatic radar using dual coherent RTL-SDR dongles, and to investigate the suitability of building multistatic passive radar by employing linear array with four Yagi-Uda antennas using N-Channel Coherent Receiver The evolution of RTL-SDR technology in the last few years has enabled more accessibility to design low-cost passive radars. This availability allowed an investigation based on the RTL-SDR receiver to determine its appropriateness in designing passive bistatic radars The results obtained from testing the RTL-SDR receiver showed some limitations including high noise figure and narrow bandwidth, which made use of DVB-T signals difficult due to the high bandwidth required by DVB-T signals. An examination was conducted to check the received signal characteristics. As a result of this examination, a bandpass filter was implemented to improve the received signal to noise ratio. The era of Information technology has become a crucial part of our dynamic life for every human being in the world and usage of smartphones is rising exponentially. Elderly people who are unable to provide accurate information and utilize the emergency phone calls, users who find themselves in an unknown location that can’t be described or provide an accurate address when emergency occurs, casualties which caused by the late arrival of ambulance and searching for an available nearby ambulance have been some of the hustling factor that face current fast pace community. With more congested roads and insufficient information, the search and rescue operation become nearly impossible. This Android based mobile application project will totally change the native way of calling an ambulance and it will be more efficient and reliable for the emergency medical services (EMS). This app will help the user to get any available ambulance without calling the hospitals to check for the ambulance availability. The app reacts with just one tab on the button and it will send the notification of user’s details and location via GPRS to nearby ambulance control center. Then it’s the authority’s hand to approve the requested notification. Once the request is accepted, the GPS location will be sent to the ambulance driver which will lead to the user location

Impact of Gender Inequality on the Social Life in Saudi Arabia (1980-2018)

The world need gender equality as by applying this equality the world will be more democratic which will lead to stability, Women still face discrimination, and education will be the key to solve such an issue and this by making the world make its decision based on quality rather than on gender. Women represent more than half of the population in most societies but they did not enjoy their full rights as a citizen, and by this they live in autocratic society. (Inglehart, et al. 2004) Changing the status of women and men in global politics requires intervention by the international community in order to find appropriate solutions. Most countries, especially in the Arab world, have not accepted the existence of women. (UN, 2002) This paper will show that there is a link between democracy and the empowerment of women. We will discuss the importance of reducing discrimination against women. Today, the world is more organized than before, and this is because we have many organizations that run the world, but we need an international government that monitors the performance of countries in terms of gender equality. We will discuss that it’s not an issue about inequality between men and women, but how there is privilege to men in labor market. Even some of government position prefers men more than women; actually it’s the issue of the transformation in gender ideologies. Generally if we need development we have to promote equality as work are communal activity and all people have right to get it, if this happen this will automatically led to development of the society. (Outreach, 2016) Women always participated in social movement especially the one ask for human rights, economic justice and environment protection, women play a role through non state actors and they achieved advanced level, the issue of discrimination against women will never be solved if there is no cooperation. Earthing systems in distribution and transmission networks are designed to provide adequate safety levels under normal operating and fault conditions All System Earthing Arrangements (SEA) provide equivalent protection of life and property. However each has certain advantages and inconveniences in other terms that may be important for a given installation. In both commercial and industrial applications, needs change, and it is becoming increasingly important to choose the right system earthing arrangement, according to rigorously defined working practices, in order to ensure the cohabitation of "high and low currents" and satisfy the operator's requirements. Each system carthing arrangement is examined in terms of safety and availability, as well as for its protection against over voltages and electromagnetic disturbances. This paper is talking about these types of Earthing systems, it's advantages and disadvantage.Amr Magd

Our goal from this project was to introduce a new web application that try to deal with an issue which exist in most e-commerce applications this issue is the lack of features and detail in some Ads. Daily users for this applications usually Bothered because some specific features they look for when searching for specific items is missed. Features regarding entities posted for selling is usually absent as example: 1- When seller post a real-estate for selling he may add too little images which make viewer unable to understand the real-estate landscape and internal appearance. 2-All websites include major features like number of rooms but users look for real-estates in closed area will face problem when they look for units with club subscription We worked hard on organizing features and hope that the final website will help advertisers to post advertise correctly with explicit nature and help viewers & buyers to understand entities posted for sell correctlySupervisor: Dr. Amira Idres

The importance of this topic is very interesting topic because that represent huge shape for countries and there are impact of tourism on economic growth in order to achieve development, flourish for countries and higher of standard living through foreign currency from tourism and that we show how political instability effect on the tourism sector

Development of Smart Stair Cleaning Robot

    No full text
Stair cleaning is very important in dusty countries and is usually done by humans. However, stair cleaning is a tedious, exhausting, boring and hazardous for humans. Therefore, there is a strong need to build a robot that can help people to improve their life by having higher quality cleaning besides saving health of labor and time. Therefore, stair cleaning is an ideal candidate for automation. Though few trials had been made to develop a stair cleaning robot, but no product had matured yet to the stage of commercialization. In this project, we carry on the mechatronics design of a new stair cleaning robot using vacuum and mopping. The main criteria for our design are simplicity, rigidity, stability, user friendly interface, light weight, speed and moderate cost.Supervised By: Prof. Dr: M. Abdul Latif Prof. Dr: S. Is the motive behind real estate demand growth speculative or intrinsic?

    No full text
Research Problem Unsustainable growth happens when it can’t be maintained at the same rate without causing economic problems. And since the real estate market is growing at an alarming rate, it must be determined its sustainability, to deter from negative spillovers to other economic sectors. Therefore the aim of study is to conclude if real estate demand is driven through anticipation of higher future growth, or the value of industry added. The test through time-series analysis could entail of demand relationships with expectations, and net output, in the real estate sector. Also, the test will reveal the magnitude of impact demand drivers have relative to each other, which helps determining main driver. If the demand on real estate is driven by a speculative motive, and growing through feedback, then the market growth is unsustainable and a bubble could be formulating. An unsustainable market exhibits over-valued prices deviating from fundamental value, which is a symptom of economic bubbles. In most cases, price bubbles derive all of their variability from exogenous fundamentals rather than from extraneous factors (Froot and Obstfeld 1991) However, if demand is driven through fundamental sector growth, and demand growth is matching supply growth, then the market is efficient and sustainable. The previous concerns could be summarized in the following questions. Is the growth of the Egyptian real estate market sustainable? To what extent is real estate demand driven by expectations of future growth? To what extent is real estate demand driven by sector growth?Kindleberger C. (1987) defined a bubble as “a sharp rise in price of an asset or a range of assets in a continuous process, with the initial rise generating expectations of further rises and attracting new buyers—generally speculators interested in profits from trading in the asset rather than its use or earning capacity. The rise is usually followed by a reversal of expectations and a sharp decline in price often resulting in financial crisis. The specific aspects of an economic bubble include: rapidly rising prices, unrealistic expectations of future price increase, vast difference between market and intrinsic value and/or large drop in prices after bubble burst”. Focusing on the housing market in Egypt is warranted for several reasons. Following the devaluation of the Egyptian Pound in 2016, the housing market in Egypt experienced a general increase in USD terms compared to a dramatic increase in EGP terms. According to the Aqarmap Index, demand on real estate has been growing steadily since 2011. Also, Sales and rentals prices of residential apartments have increased by 59% in New Cairo and by 50% in 6th of October (The Egypt Real Estate Market 2017: a Year in review). Furthermore, the number of mortgage finance companies (MFC) operating in Egypt increased from only 2 in 2005 to 13 in 2016. In fact, Egypt was named by Euromonitor International as the world’s fastest growing mortgage market in 2017, due to huge domestic demand. Finally, the contribution of real estate to Egypt’s GDP has increased by 6,023.72% from 2001-2017, as reported by Egypt Ministry of Planning to CEIC. The previous indicators have raised suspicion of many speculators on the future of the real estate market in Egypt, some claiming that this could be signs of an economic bubble in formation. The aim of this study is to test demand in the Egyptian real estate market to understand the driver behind demand either speculative or fundamental, which will be investigated via the stock market and real estate GDP contribution

    Development of Plastering Robot

    No full text
Plastering is the plasterwork which is known as ornamentation done by plasterers on walls. The advantages of using this machine are for saving in man power and cycle time. The building construction is time consuming sector because lot of work is labor based there is too much shortage of skilled labor, increase in labor cost and technological advances are forcing rapid change in the construction of building. Building construction mainly consists of commercial infrastructure and residential building, plastering work is a must in every sector. This innovative idea is to render the mortar on walls automatically. The aim of this robot is to reduce the work of plasterer (worker). It is feasible, inexpensive and simple structure comparing to the existing machine. We are modifying a current design that was made by last year students in Future University in Egypt [1], we dealt with its mechanical problems and developed it to be able to plaster even on non-flat terrains, changed its control to make it easier to apply more features to the robot in the future and added a sensor to know the horizontality of robot before beginning the plastering operation.Supervised by: Prof.Dr. Mohamed Abdellatif Dr. Hussuien Foua
