Synthesis, Anticonvulsant Activity and Molecular Modeling Study of Some New Hydrazinecarbothioamide, Benzenesulfonohydrazide, and Phenacylace- tohydrazide Analogues of 4(3H)-quinazolinone
No full textA new series of quinazoline analogues was designed and synthesized to get the target compounds 18- 21, 30-41, 46-53, and 57-76. The Obtained compounds were evaluated for their anticonvulsant activity using PTZ and picrotoxin convulsive models. Compounds 47, 63, 68 and 73 proved to be the most active compounds in this study with a remarkable 100% protection against PTZ induced convulsions. Compounds 47, 63, 68 and 73 proved to be 10, 4, 4, and 5 fold more active, respectively than the used positive control sodium valproate. Structure activity correlation concluded valuable pharmacophoric information which confirmed by molecular modeling studies. Molecular docking study of 68 suggested its agonistic behavior toward GABAA receptor. The studied quinazoline analogues could be considered as useful templates for future development and further derivatization

No full textCost estimation for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has not been addressed properly in the existing literatures. Most cost estimation approaches published in the literatures are more guidelines than actual practical estimation techniques. On the other hand, traditional software cost estimation techniques don’t fit SOA characteristics properly. In this paper, a phased effort distribution in legacy systems migration to SOA is presented.
In this paper, we have identified several cost factors related to SOA. These cost factors have been distributed among different SOA project phases. Then weight for each cost factor has been assigned. This approach has been applied to different service migration strategies to SOA. The results have been obtained and analyzed. This approach represents one possible way to estimate the overall cost of a SOA project early and accurately by estimating the cost of only one phase of the project

Adipose Stem Cells as Alternatives for Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Oral Ulcer Healing
No full textBACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES:
Adipose tissue is now recognized as an accessible, abundant, and reliable site for the isolation of adult stem cells suitable for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Oral ulcers were induced by topical application of formocresol in the oral cavity of dogs. Transplantation of undifferentiated GFP-labeled Autologous Bone Marrow Stem Cell (BMSCs), Adipose Derived Stem Cell (ADSCs) or vehicle (saline) was injected around the ulcer in each group. The healing process of the ulcer was monitored clinically and histopathologically. Gene expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was detected in MSCs by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Expression of VEGF and collagen genes was detected in biopsies from all ulcers.
RESULTS:
MSCs expressed mRNA for VEGF MSCs transplantation significantly accelerated oral ulcer healing compared with controls. There was increased expression of both collagen and VEGF genes in MSCs-treated ulcers compared to controls.
CONCLUSIONS:
MSCs transplantation may help to accelerate oral ulcer healing, possibly through the induction of angiogenesis by VEGF together with increased intracellular matrix formation as detected by increased collagen gene expression. This body of work has provided evidence supporting clinical applications of adipose-derived cells in safety and efficacy trials as an alternative for bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in oral ulcer healing
