JK2018 - International Meeting around the Jurassic-Cretaceous Boundary
To summarize, 74 people from 25 countries (Africa: Algeria, Morocco; Americas: Argentina, Chile, USA; Asia: China, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Thailand, Turkey; Europe: Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands (the), Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom), as well as 15 national or international learned societies listed as scientific partners, contributed to this meeting around the JK system boundary hosted by the Muséum d'Histoire naturelle de Genève (Switzerland). 176 authors and coauthors gave 59 contributions (6 keynotes, 33 presentations, and 25 posters including 5 to supplement regular oral presentations or keynotes)
t(7;14)(q34;q11) TRA/TRB
Translocations and inversions involving the TRA/TRD locus at 14q11.2 and the TRB locus at 7q34 are characteristic anomalies in T-cell acute leukemia/lymphoma. In most instances, juxtaposing promoter and enhancer elements of TCR genes in the proximity of a partner gene results in their dysregulation that may be a critical step toward development of T-cell malignancies
der(4)t(1;4)(q11-32;q34-35)
Unbalanced 1q rearrangements are widely reported in myeloid and lymphoid malignancies. Among unbalanced translocations of 1q, der(4)t(1;4)(q11-32;q34-q35) resulting in complete or partial trisomies of genes located on 1q is a relatively rare anomaly

Gene drive and its applications
Gene drive is a new genetic engineering technology that has been developed over the past five years and that allows genetic modifications to spread rapidly in natural populations. The Ponts et Chaussées and Eaux et Forêts Corps during the French Revolution
Little is known about the history of administration during the “revolutionary” period and it is often perfunctory and controversial. The emphasis on rejection of the past and administrative rationalism, which was repeatedly asserted to be capable of meeting the challenges of the modern State, led to sweeping changes. The Ponts et Chaussées and Eaux et Forêts administrations are no exception; they too were called into question and reformed but their history during that period shows more continuity in the policies undertaken as well as the personnel in charge of implementing them than one might initially expect. This is because of their fundamental attributions. In the first case, its mission as formulated by Lebrun is “to link up all parts of the kingdom and establish continuity of communication”, while for the second, it to manage and “protect the property of the Nation”. Continuity is more apparent at the Ponts et Chaussées. Proper operation of this recent administration was necessary to reassert the unity of the State. The older and different Eaux et Forêts department was extensively reformed. An essential difference between these two administrations concerns recruitment and training. Personnel from the Domaines and Enregistrement administrations replaced office holders, but the question of technical forestry training was not contemplated. The Restoration completed the forest reforms initiated by the Constituent Assembly and set up higher education in forestry
