Ecotranslatology-based Research on the Strategies and Methods for Translating English Film Titles into Chinese
This paper explores the English film title translation strategies and methods through the theory of Eco-translatology proposed by Hu Gengshen. It studies the theme from three dimensions which are linguistics, culture and communication. And it can be seen that Darwin’s tenet of “natural selection and survival of the fittest” is fully employed in the theory. It is hoped that Eco-translatology can be better used in the market of film translation and other translation markets

This study aims to analyze the needs of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kalitidu for the development of an integrated historical learning model value of SERAT TJARIOSIPOEN BENAWI SALA to improve ecological intelligence. The research method used is the descriptive analysis by analyzing student needs for model development through a questionnaire. The results showed that 96% of students needed and needed the development of an integrated History learning model of SERAT TJARIOSIPOEN BENAWI SALA Value. The integrated history learning of SERAT TJARIOSIPOEN BENAWI SALA Value has strategic meaning in increasing students\u27 ecological intelligence. This learning model can help students to better understand the values contained in the SERAT TJARIOSIPOEN BENAWI SALA Value and improve the ecological intelligence of students
Outcome-Based Education Experiences on Business Administration Courses
This study determined the Outcome-Based Experiences on Business Administration Courses. The study is Descriptive in nature. Survey questionnaire attached with a consent form and Convenience sampling were utilized in data gathering. For the Data treatment and analysis, frequency count, percentages and weighted mean were utilized. Mental Health of Students in the Philippines during Pandemic: An assessment
This research was made to assess the mental health and psychological wellness during the community quarantine of the 500 selected students from the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT), of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST). The CMBT was located at Sumacab, Cabanatuan City, Philippines. The outcomes of the present study will be beneficial and valuable to the following: To the students. The result of this study will provide necessary pieces of information of the mental health of the student which could be a great help to the respondents in understanding themselves. It can also help them to be more aware about mental and psychological health through the help of the recommendation of the researchers; To the Parents. The results of this study will be beneficial to the parents having children who have the same age bracket as the respondents. The recommendations will help them in dealing with the problems with their children’s mental health issues which is not easy to know. To the School. The results of this study can help the school as well as the guidance counselors to know what the main problem of the students is and immediately formulate actions to avoid possible negative effects that can harm the well-being of the students under their supervision. To the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. The results of this study will strengthen their promotion of mental health and the prevention of mental health disorders. Lastly, this will also be beneficial to future researchers to draw pertinent results to their studies. The researchers used a set of a survey questionnaire in gathering pertinent data. The questionnaires were disseminated via an online Google form survey sent to the respondents. After all the data needed were gathered, the frequencies of answers in each question were tallied and their percentage was obtained. Assessment on the Application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Improving Students\u27 Learning and Academic Performance in Government Secondary Schools in Manyoni District-Singida, Tanzania
This study aimed at assessing the implementation of TQM in government secondary schools in improving students\u27 academic achievement in Manyoni district Singida region. The researcher used three objectives to guide the study. To examine the association among total quality management principles and students\u27 school success in public secondary schools in Manyoni District, to identify the challenges encountered by school heads in the whole process of quality supervision in schools and learners\u27 academic attainment and to identify possible measures to the challenges in the implementation of total quality management in public secondary schools in Manyoni District. The study employed total quality management theory that founded by Deming in 1950s. It employed a mixed approaches research design, specifically convergent parallel mixed-method research design. The study used probability and non[1]probability in selecting sample. A total of 164 respondents from four public secondary schools were involving in the current study. The major instruments used were questionnaires that had a coefficient coloration of 0.73 to prove the reliability of the instruments. Other instruments used were in-depth interview guide. The researchers employed Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20 for analysis of quantitative data. The information were analysed using descriptive approaches such as frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations, and results presented using tables, pie charts, and bar graphs. Qualitative data were analysed by means of open coding, categories, meaningful themes, as well as summarization of data. The results indicated that total quality management ideologies were very crucial in enhancing academics development in secondary schools. However, the study found that total quality management in public secondary schools in Manyoni is not implemented effectively. Therefore the government should ensure that all secondary schools are implementing TQ
Administrative Challenges Facing Heads of Public Secondary Schools in the Implementation of Strategic Plans in Kondoa Town Council, Tanzania
This study aimed at examining the administrative challenges that faced heads of public secondary schools in the implementation of the strategic plans in Kondoa Town Council. The study was guided by two objectives; to examine the administrative factors that were affecting the implementation of strategic plans; to explore the possible measures that could curb administrative challenges faced by the heads of school in the implementation of strategic plans. The study employed a convergent parallel design under a mixed research method approach. The study had a sample size of 70 participants which were; secondary schools teachers 61, including one District Education Officer, four ward education officers and 4 heads of schools. Stratified, simple random sampling and purposive techniques were used. Instruments such as; questionnaires that have a correlation coefficient of 0.78 which was high enough to go the field for data collections. Interview guides and document analysis were employed. The quantitative data were analyzed with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 20. The gathered data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and the results were presented using tables, frequency, percentages and figures. Qualitative data were thematically analyzed in terms of categories, themes and report writing. The results of the study specified that the heads of schools were involved in strategic planning however they have limited knowledge and skills, adequate fund, lack of community participation, shortage of teachers, inadequate infrastructure, and political leaders’ interference in executing the strategic plans for the schools which were also a challenge to them. The study recommended that the government should, train heads of schools on how to effectively draw a strategic plan. Furthermore the study recommended that the government should provide a reasonable budget that would facilitate the implementation of strategic plans monitor and evaluate the carrying out the strategic plans through the local government authorities within the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology
School-Family-Community Partnerships and Its’ Influence on Students ‘Achievement in Public Secondary Schools in Ilemela Municipal, Tanzania
Education is an investment which brings socio-economic return to the person and nation at large. In implementing various strategies to improve student development and academic outcomes, it is important to include all key stake holders by fostering close schools, family and community partnerships, and not only teachers and administrators, but also family and community members. These partnerships improve schools and lead to student’s success in academic and social arena. In Tanzania public secondary schools, family and community partnerships is considered to be low and students’ performance in academic and discipline continues to be poor compared to schools with strong family community partnerships. Therefore, the objectives of this study were; to identify the existing school-family-community partnerships in public secondary school in Ilemela Municipal, to investigate whether school-family-community partnerships in public secondary schools influence students ‘achievement in Ilemela Municipal and to find out if there are any challenges facing of school-family-community partnerships implementation in public secondary schools in Ilemela Municipal. The study employed a mixed research methods where questionnaires and interview were used to collect data. The total sample size was 141; respondents involved were teachers, heads of school, students, District Education Officer, and family and community members. Descriptive statistics analysis and thematic analysis was used, and the findings revealed that there are few and poor School-family community partnerships. The study found out that, partnerships have great influence on students ‘achievement. Furthermore, the study found various challenges which face the implementation of school-family-community partnerships in public secondary schools in Ilemela district. The study recommends that The Ministry of education and vocational training the Ministry of education to make policy reforms to encourage a national wide involvement of families and community in school development activities to ensure quality provision of education which will enhance best returns in socio-economic such as industrialized economy
Formulating Indonesia’s Covid-19 Policy based on South Korea’s Experience
This paper aims to analyze the formulation of Indonesian policy in overcoming Covid-19. The policy formulation is based on the experience of South Korea that has successfully overcome Covid-19 in its country. By using descriptive research methods, using data sources from books, journals, and writings related to Covid-19. The massive distribution of Covid-19 in Indonesia has encouraged the government to formulate appropriate and accurate policies to address Covid-19 in Indonesia. In formulating the policy, it can be based on the experience of other countries that have been successfully applied. South Korea as one of the countries that have successfully overcome the spread of Covid-19 by utilizing technology should be used as an example of learning. South Korea utilizes state technology (smart city infrastructure) in tracking Covid-19 patients. Through this tracking process, the spread of Covid-19 can be reduced. For Indonesia, the South Korean experience regarding the use of various technologies to detect Covid-19 patients and their distribution is now important for Indonesia. Tracking via credit/debit card transactions, tracking cellphone history (calls, text message, Whatsapp, etc.), cellphone GPS tracking, tracking through social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.), as well as tracking on start-up applications such as Gojek and Grab will make it easier for the government to be able to detect and suppress the distribution of Covid-19.
