Analyzing the influence of the mRNA levels and DNA copy number on Breast cancer-related protein expression
Each protein\u27s expression in breast cancers was examined to see if it was regulated at a specific molecular level, and whether this regulation was reflected in different molecular subtypes. Microarray technologies were used to examine the DNA, mRNA, and protein lysates of 251 breast carcinoma samples. It was possible to obtain data from all three levels of the PI3K/Akt pathway for 52 proteins that have been linked to cancer. In cis Spearman rank correlations between the three molecular levels were determined for every protein across all samples and for each intrinsic gene expression subtype, resulting in 63 comparisons total due to numerous gene probes matching to single proteins. The variance of subtype-specific correlation and the variations between overall and average subtype-specific correlation were used to study subtype-specific interactions between the three molecular levels. An external data collection of 703 breast tumor specimens was used to confirm the findings. There were four categories of proteins based on rank correlation values between the three molecular levels, with the proteins being sorted into each category. There were eight proteins in Group A that had a significant association between DNA copy number and mRNA expression (Bonferroni adjusted p 0.05), as well as the other way around. There were 14 proteins in Group B with a strong connection between mRNA levels and protein levels. There was a strong link between copy number and mRNA expression in the 15 proteins in Group C. No relationships were found between the remaining 25 proteins (group D). Identifying favorable associations between copy number levels, mRNA and protein expression was possible only when cancers were categorized according to their intrinsic subtype. Particular attention was paid to protein pairings that indicated large variance in correlation values between subtypes or the overall dataset. The basal-like subtype had the highest protein expression of cleaved caspase 7 and the lowest levels of hsa-miR-29c, which coincided with CASP7 gene expression. Low expression of CASP7 cleavage and low association to CASP7 gene expression were found in the luminal A-like subtype. This miRNA was found to have an apparent target sequence in CASP7 mRNA. As such, the hsa-miR 29c miRNA may be acting as a suppressor of CASP7 translation inside the luminal-A subtype. CCNB1 copy number and gene expression were shown to be unrelated across the entire cohort. Cyclin B1 mRNA and protein expression were found to be favorably associated to copy number data in most gene intrinsic subtypes, showing that copy number can influence overall protein expression. Each subtype\u27s patients with decreased overall survival were recognized by aberrations of cyclin B1 copy number, as well. Genes and their products could be grouped into four groups based on the association between the three molecular levels, and the expression was anticipated to be regulated at distinct levels. Subtype-specific regulation was discovered after further stratification of the data set
Poetic Justice in Bill Cain\u27s 9 Circles
The research paper tackles difficult social problems such as raping and killing especially innocent people due to psychological diseases such as brutality and sadism which lead only to horrific consequences for both wrongdoers and victims. Poetic justice is a significant theme in all genres of literature since readers of any literary work expect that virtue is rewarded and vice is punished or in other words they expect good characters reap the fruit of what they previously sow of good deeds while bad characters deserve their disgraced destiny due to their malignant or bad deeds they have done before. In his masterpiece 9 Circles, Cain shows politics and its ways to impose its negative impact on the behavior of some people, prompting them to do evil attacks against others when he relies on a real story of an American soldier who tortures and kills not only some innocent people but also some animals for enjoyment
Investigating the role of urban improvement policies in the physical changes and developments
The rapid growth of urbanization has been accompanied by uncontrolled physical expansion and unbalanced population settlement in urban centers. The displacement of population in city centers, the emergence and expansion of the phenomenon of informal settlement mainly on the outskirts of cities, as well as the integration of rural areas located adjacent to metropolises with urban areas have caused serious problems in the spatial, functional and social structure and organization of cities. The central areas of old cities have suffered from stagnation and deterioration due to developments and the neglect of urban management. Many of these areas have become destinations for immigrants and low-income tenants with the departure of their owners and residents. Neglecting these areas and destroying them will destroy capital whose value has been increasing for years, and this is not compatible with any of the principles of sustainable development. On the other hand, these areas have now become natural capital specific to this land. Therefore, they create an opportunity that, if given serious attention and necessary investments are made in them, will become an opportunity for business and sustainable profitability. The role of urban improvement policies in revitalizing the city of Illinois, which is one of the historical and ancient contexts in the Illinois province, is important by preserving its authenticity and introduces it as a historical example in our country. In preserving and maintaining historical monuments and old city contexts, which are considered cultural wealth, a discussion on values comes up. In this study, while analyzing the existing conditions of the historical city of Illinois, suggestions and solutions for improvement and revitalization have been presented based on the theory of intervention and improvement policies
Consumer Preference Analysis between Local and Imported Rice Consumption in Adamawa State, Nigeria
The study was conducted in Adamawa state Nigeria. The objective was to analyze consumers’ preference between local and imported rice in the area. A sample of 128 House Holds Heads (HHHS), were drawn using multi-stages, purposive and simple random sampling techniques. Primary data was generated using structured questionnaire administered to 128 HHHs. However, only 120 were retrieved and subjected to both descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics includes frequency count, percentages and means while chi – square analysis was used to test the hypothesis of the study which was stated in a null form, that local rice is better than the imported rice based on certain attributes such as price, swelling capacity, taste, cleanliness, cooking duration, color, odor, grain shape and in the preparation of different recipe. The results revealed that, majority (66.66%), of the consumers prefer local rice based on it lower price and taste respectively while majority (83.34%), (75, 00%) and (66.66%) agreed that imported rice is better in terms of cleanliness, pleasant odor and grain shape. Similarly, rice consumers concur (50%) and (50%) on the cooking duration attributes of both local and imported rice respectively in the area. The study therefore, concluded that, imported rice is better than the local rice based on the percentages and chi – square result which rejected, the null hypothesis, and accepted the alternate ( 2cal is greater than 2tab at probability level ( alpha) p= (0.05 ) and (r -1)(c -1) degree of freedom. It is recommended that local rice should be improved in respect to it cleanliness, odor and grain shape which are the attributes by which foreign rice is considered better from this study for it to be competitive at national and international market scenes. This could be achieved through improvement in research and adoption of improved production and processing technologie
A situational Analysis of the faculties’ Industrial Attachment programme at public Technical Training Institutes (TTIs) in Bhutan
The study was conducted in three Technical Training Institutes (TTIs) in Bhutan. The objective of the study was to investigate the challenges facing industrial attachment as a learning experience for automobile faculties. The population of the study involved all the faculties of TTIs namely Ranjung, Thimphu and Samthang. However, the researcher used a sample size of 64 respondents (purposive sampling) for the study. The data was collected from the respondents through a research-designed survey questionnaire administered through the Online Google Form. Nonetheless, 58 questionnaires were received. The validity and reliability of the instruments were determined by pre-testing the instruments before taking into consideration for analysis. The data collected was analysed using SPSS software. Cronbach‐Alpha analysis was used to determine the reliability value of data. And the value of pre-test data was calculated at 0.788.
The findings of the study concluded that the faculties of the three automobile institutes expressed high satisfaction with the program objectives, the usefulness of the program, adequacy of knowledge and skills acquired through the program.
However, the study also concluded that the challenges they faced compromised the quality of engagement and meaningful learning experience. In this context, the researcher recommended that industrial attachment must be planned and implemented as a genuine learning experience right from the start. This could be done by allocating adequate funds to support the faculties\u27 interns and, enable the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution to maintain the relevancy of the attachment program and the industry. The immediate attachment supervisors of the industries should also be trained to deliver quality training and education to the faculties during the industrial attachment. This calls for a closer and synergized working relationship between the TVET institutions and the industries so that effective and uncompromised industrial attachment is ensure
The study on the effectiveness of soft skill subjects in Public TVET Institutes in Bhutan
The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of soft skills subjects being taught in Public TVET Institute in Bhutan. The study was conducted using a mixed-mode research approach. A total of 30 TVET graduates were involved as respondents in collecting data for this research. The primary data for the study were collected through structured questions and informal interviews from the respondents. The data were analyzed through the process of thematic data analysis.
The findings of this study revealed that the effectiveness of soft skill subjects taught and learned in the public Institutes was mostly effective. The graduates who got enrolled in Institute after their 12th standard have different views on its effectiveness than the graduates who got enrolled in the same Institute after the 10th standard. The study concluded that a technical skill has the power to facilitate gainful employment, but soft skill can magically sustain them in the organization

Building scientific knowledge based on the solution of clinical cases: A contemporary learning process
The construction of scientific knowledge based on the solution of clinical cases, also called problem-situation or case study, is a contemporary methodology, centered on the student, problematizing, teaching-learning, which allows to know the previous knowledge of the group in the face of the presented situation, as well as identifying learning needs, building new meanings and knowledge, in addition to developing specific skills for self-learning. Strategically, it is the insertion, during a course, of a social material (texts, audios, printed matter, videos), whose analysis and discussion allow to contextualize the theoretical content. This work aims to present an experience in the construction, application and evaluation of clinical cases aimed at students in the fifth period of the dentistry course at Itpac - Porto Nacional in 2020. Clinical cases were previously screened by the teacher of endodontics at the multidisciplinar clinic at Itpac - Porto Nacional and presented to students in the classroom. The students were instructed to organize themselves in groups, a time of 1 hour was established for discussion of clinical cases and websites, scientific articles and books were made available to assist in solving the proposed activity. After the end of the established time, each group presented the diagnosis of each clinical situation presented. Based on this experience, it is possible to conclude that the use of clinical cases as a pedagogical practice brings students closer to the social reality and leads them to build networks of knowledge, making them active subjects in the learning process, without renouncing the depth and specificity knowledge that a dental student needs to develop
