Conception of Professionalism and Horizons in Acupuncture Sciences in Students of the Degree in Human Rehabilitation Acupuncture
Get PDFThe curricularization of the extension in the Rehabilitation Human Acupuncture axis is of great importance due to the health need that exists in the State of Mexico. The objective of this work was to evaluate the conception of professionalism and horizons in Acupuncture Sciences that the students of the Bachelor of Rehabilitation Human Acupuncture have in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh semesters of the State University of Valle de Ecatepec. Material and methods: An exploratory analysis was carried out in which a questionnaire of 10 open questions focused on the conception of professionalism was used for all students from the fourth to the seventh semester, later an analysis of the keywords of each question was made. to determine the words that had the highest degree of coincidence. The results: (P1) professionalism is related to having the necessary knowledge and correctly practicing acupuncture and rehabilitation; (P2) Knowledge and correct practice of the profession are characteristics of a good professional in Acupuncture; (P3) Knowledge, empathy and a good diagnosis are important skills that a graduate in Rehabilitation Human Acupuncture must have; (P4) Acupuncture as a degree is perceived as interesting, preventive and an excellent career; (P5) For the students, being licensed in Rehabilitation Human Acupuncture means helping; (P6) The skills that the students have developed during their training as graduates in human acupuncture and rehabilitation are observation, the ability to help, acupuncture support techniques, analysis, correct diagnosis and development of critical thinking; (P7) Acupuncture is viewed in 20 years as complementary and nationally and internationally recognized; (P8) The biosciences have an impact on the training as a graduate in rehabilitative human acupuncture so that they can integrate the knowledge acquired, understand the human body and give scientific support to acupuncture; (P9) The field of work in which the students are visualized is in an independent office; (P10) The area in which the students surveyed would like to specialize is rehabilitation and do a master\u27s degree to broaden their knowledge
Teachers Attitudes towards Pupils’ Learning Mathematics Subject in Public Primary Schools in Misungwi District, Mwanza, Tanzania
Get PDFMathematics plays a crucial role globally due to its significance in paving the way for the fields of science and technology. The study aimed to investigate teachers\u27 attitudes towards pupils\u27 Mathematics learning; and strategies that can be employed to enhance pupils\u27 positive perceptions of Mathematics in the learning process. The study conducted in Misungwi District in Mwanza Region, focusing on public primary schools. The study was guided by social learning theory and employed a convergent parallel research design. A total of 210 respondents took part in the study, including 168 pupils, 28 teachers, and 14 head teachers. The study used questionnaires and interview guides. Data obtained from the study were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 for quantitative data, while qualitative data were coded, categorised, and analysed using thematic analysis. The study\u27s findings revealed that majority of Mathematics teachers exhibited negative attitudes towards pupils, which contributed to the pupils\u27 negative perceptions of Mathematics learning. The study recommends that fostering positive teacher attitudes to promote a favorable environment for learning Mathematics and highlights a range of strategies that can be implemented to improve pupils\u27 positive perceptions of learning the Mathematics subject in public primary schools within Misungwi District
Review of research into teachers’ beliefs at home and abroad
Get PDFTeachers’ belief is an important research field in teacher education research, and related practices and research have been increasing in recent years. This paper summarizes and sorts out the research on foreign language teachers’ beliefs in primary and secondary schools at home and abroad from four aspects: the definition of the concept of teachers’ beliefs, the influencing factors of teachers’ beliefs, the research on the relationship between teachers’ beliefs and teaching practices, and the research on teachers’ beliefs and teachers’ professional development. Specifically, teachers’ beliefs are the views, attitudes, and psychological tendencies that teachers hold for truth about teaching-related factors in the teaching process. Its formation and change are mainly affected by personal background factors and social environment factors; Teachers’ beliefs and teaching behaviors influence each other, but they are not always consistent; Teacher professional development is the driving force behind changes in teachers’ beliefs. Finally, the paper points out that the future research on teachers’ beliefs in China can also expand the research objects, pay attention to the application of qualitative research methods, and focus on the dynamic research of teachers’ beliefs and the research related to teachers’ beliefs and teachers’ professional development
A Structural Equation Model on Work Design in Relation to Authentic Leadership, Workplace Spirituality, and Practical Emotional Intelligence of Public Elementary Teachers
Get PDFThe study determined the best fit model for the work design based on authentic leadership, workplace spirituality, and practical emotional intelligence of public elementary teachers. Using e-survey through Google Forms, data was collected from the teachers using a set of modified survey questionnaires that were tested for content validity and reliability. This study used a quantitative descriptive and causal method of research. The statistical tools employed in analyzing the data includes the mean, Pearson-r, and structural equation model (SEM). Results of the study revealed the following: the level of authentic leadership was very high; the level of workplace spirituality was high; the level of practical emotional intelligence was high; and, the level of work design for teachers was high. Moreover, a significant relationship was established between the exogenous and endogenous variables. In addition, authentic leadership, workplace spirituality, and practical emotional intelligence significantly influence work design for teachers. Of the five (5) generated models, Model 5 best fits work design among public elementary teachers with practical emotional intelligence bringing the biggest impact. The model successfully passed all the conventions of a reasonable fit; hence, it is deemed the most parsimonious model
PNLD 2020 and the teaching book of the final years of Portuguese language: a critical analysis on the inclusion of LIBRAS
Get PDFThe objective of this article is to analyze enunciative elements referring to the criteria for choosing the textbook from the Call for Proposals for the Registration and Evaluation Process of Didactic Works for the PNLD 2020 National Book and Teaching Material Program (BRASIL, 2018) , in a critical perspective regarding the effective inclusion of the Deaf and Deaf in the Brazilian educational political-pedagogical context, observing what has been produced as school material to support Portuguese Language classes. The hypothesis of this analysis is that the choice of the textbook will be permeated by the discourse of diversity, the inclusive look, the respect for identities through the bias of compliance with Law 10.436 / 2002 - Libras Law - in elementary school books II, 6th to the 9th year, as well as the recognition of the “Deaf Bodies” and their places as social subjects of law, proposing critical discursive reflections on the spaces historically denied in textbooks, at school, in the classroom, even reflecting on the BNCC / 2017 - diversified part. The methodology used is presented through bibliographic analysis dialoguing with national official documents, in order to broaden new horizons in the Brazilian educational construct, pointing out other ways for new selection criteria and choice of books, in addition to hegemonic impositions. Therefore, a dialogue is proposed between Foucault (2013; 2004), Azevedo; Piris (2016), Piris; Azevedo (2018), Pennycook (2003; 1998), Bakhtin (2003, 1998, 1999), Volochinov (2017); Orlandi (2003); Strobel (2009), Grigoletto (2011) and other bibliographies referring to the conceptions of voices, speeches, bodies and power, whose final perspective is to open reflections for new discussions
Assessing Internal Communication and Teacher Burnout: An Empirical Study of School Administrators in Select Public High Schools in Kakamega County, Kenya
Get PDFExtant literature suggests that burnout is one of the major factors contributing to declining teacher productivity. Studies have exposed a prevalence of burnout among the teaching fraternity, with administrators recording higher levels of burnout. This research study investigated the association that exists between internal communication and teacher burnout, among public high school administrators employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kakamega County as the target population. The research questions were: a) What is the perceived effectiveness of the internal communication in place based on official channels used by TSC to communicate with the administrators? b) What are the administrator burnout levels in select public high schools in the county? and, c) What is the association between internal communication and teacher burnout among the select public high school administrators? The study which utilized a correlation research design, revealed that all the respondents experienced burnout. The findings further established that there was a weak negative correlation of -.231 between internal communication and corporate burnout, with a statistical significance level of 0.016. This suggests a statistically significant relationship between internal communication and burnout characterized by a weak negative correlation. The study recommends that institutions endeavour to ascertain their employees’ communication interests in order to establish their internal communication system. Similar studies should be conducted in the different Kenyan counties so as to make comparisons as well as among administrators in private and international schools in Kenya, to provide more insight into the association between internal communication and teacher burnout

So as to gather more believable data, the qualitative method including the author\u27s personal observation, the discussion and interview with the students and the colleagues. The collected data revealed the teachers and students’ difficulties in teaching and learning ESP reading and their causes. Based on the author’s experience, the discussion and interview with the colleagues and students, the researcher gave some possible solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning ESP reading at school
Reconstructed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS): Its Effect on Students’ Performance in Mathematics
Get PDFNew normal education changes the usual setup of the teaching-learning process between the students and the teacher. Reconstructed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS): Their Effects on Students\u27 Performance in Mathematics. The study tries to find the gap in the students\u27 problems when answering their activities in the modules. The respondents of this study are the Grade 7 - Sampaguita students of Calatrava National High School enrolled during the School Year 2021 – 2022. The students were grouped by controlled and experimental through simple random sampling, in which each group was composed of 22 students. Utilizing Posttest Only Control Group Design in the whole duration of the third quarter for the School Year 2021 – 2022, wherein the students in the control group were given the Learning Activity sheets from the DepEd while the experimental group Reconstructed Learning Activity Sheets. The basis of the student’s performance in this study is the Third quarter grade of the students comprising the development in their Summative Test and Performance Task. The result shows that students in the experimental group obtained a higher mean value than the control group. Based on the results, there was a significant difference in students\u27 level of performance in Mathematics in the control group and experimental group. The study signified that Reconstructed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) comprising activities with Interleaved Approach could increase students\u27 performance
Evolution of Women’s Wrestling in India: Trends, Challenges, and Policy Support
Get PDFThis study examines the evolution of women’s wrestling in India, tracing its transformation from a traditionally male-dominated practice to a dynamic and increasingly inclusive sport. It analyses historical developments, participation trends, regional patterns, and the socio-cultural context that has shaped women’s entry into wrestling. The paper highlights how states such as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and parts of the North-East have emerged as key hubs due to stronger grassroots systems, community traditions, and state-level incentives. Despite progress, women wrestlers continue to face significant challenges, including socio-cultural barriers, financial constraints, inadequate infrastructure, safety concerns, and limitations in institutional governance. The study further evaluates policy frameworks, such as the Khelo India Programme and the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), as well as state-supported initiatives that have strengthened talent identification, coaching, and athlete welfare. It highlights the increasing importance of professional coaching, sports science, and gender-sensitive support systems in fostering future development. The paper concludes that while significant gains have been made, advancing women’s wrestling in India requires continued reforms in safety, equity, institutional transparency, and access for rural and underprivileged girls. Strengthening these foundations is crucial for establishing a robust and inclusive ecosystem that fosters long-term excellence in women’s wrestling
