Estetiche della geolocalizzazione. Pratiche artistiche e media locativi
In this chapter we will address the concepts of competence, personal identity
and role identity. The goal of the chapter is to understand how orienting oneself towards a role identity is fundamental to being competent
Pour une ‘analyse du discours traductologique’: une première réflexion théorique et méthodologique
The aim of this article is to develop an initial theoretical and methodological ref lection on disciplinary trajectories at the crossroads of two research areas: discourse analysis and translation studies. This proposal is divided into two parts. The first one is devoted to the theoretical and methodological conver-gences that are made possible thanks to the intersection between French dis-course analysis and the Interpretative theory of translation. The second part aims to show some first examples of the application of such a hybrid approach, high-lighting in particular the interest of a ‘translational discourse analysis’ applied to meta-discourses on translation. Our ref lection will lead to the definition of research perspectives in translational discourse analysis with the aim of contrib-uting, more broadly, to the mutual scientific enrichment between the two areas involved
Item-specific order effects in paired comparisons
The effect of the order of presentation in paired comparison models
is most often assumed to be constant accross the compared items. This assumption is not realistic, especially in sports competitions where players or teams can derive different benefits from playing on their own field in front of their supporters. This work discusses ridge-type estimation of item-specific order effects in paired comparisons using a combination of composite likelihood and empirical Bayes methods. The methodology is illustrated through the analysis of sport tournament data
Petrographic and mineralogical characterization of asteroid (162173) Ryugu: The possible new ref-erence material for the Solar System element abundance
Following its formation at 4.5672 Ga (Amelin et al., 2002), the Solar System underwent chemical and isotopic fractionation that modified the primitive composition of the solar nebula. In order to under-stand the evolution of the Solar System, it is of significant importance to constrain its unmodified composition. Ivuna-type CI carbonaceous chondrites show a strong compositional match with the solar photosphere, suggesting that they represent the most pristine Solar System material (Holweger, 1977). For this reason, CI chondrites have been considered for decades the best candidate as reference material for the Solar System elemental abundance.
Fragments from the C-type asteroid (162173) Ryugu, collected by the JAXA/Hayabusa2 mission (Watanabe et al., 2019), show strong chemical and mineralogical similarities with CI chondrites, but a negligible amount of terrestrial weathering (Yokoyama et al., 2022). Since terrestrial weathering may have led to chemical and isotopic modifications in CI chondrites, the asteroid Ryugu may represent a more pristine reference material for the Solar System element abundance, hence the importance of carrying out a full characterization of the returned samples.
In this work, we present the results of a petrographic and mineralogical characterization carried out on two Ryugu particles by means of state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, with the aim to con-tribute to the definition of the possible new standard material for future geochemical and cosmochemical studies

Due set di metapodiali e falangi con esemplari iscritti dall’area artigianale C1 del Bostel di Rotzo (VI): elementi rituali o funzionali?
In addition to several pit houses, the excavations on the village of Bostel di Rotzo
unearthed the remains of a pottery workshop with activity held between the end of the 4th and the 2nd centuries BC. Inside it, two sets of spatially confined, selected anatomical elements, were recovered. The first cluster (2006-2010) was found near the south-western furnace and totalled 60 items, including 32 metapodials, 27 phalanxes and 1 horncore fragment; 12 of these featured inscriptions. The second lot was discovered recently in a wooden-floor area on the north-eastern part of the same structure and totalled 78 elements, of which 7 featured inscriptions. The systematic selection of phalanxes and metapodials was once more evident. The presence of several unfused epiphyses found in undisturbed anatomical connection suggested the existence of connective tissue in the pre-depositional phase.
This paper presents the context of the discovery, the osteological analysis, and alternative models of interpretation. In particular, the hypothesis of a rituality connected to craft activities, as has been hypothesized for other contexts of the pre-Roman Veneto, or a practical use with a numeral function, will be evaluated

With the recent growth of Korean Studies programs and the establishment of new graduate courses, Chinese character (hanja) education has come to be recognized anew as one of the key tasks in Korean language education. Against this backdrop, this study analyzes the results of a two-year consecutive investigation (2023–2024) involving non-character-background learners in Europe. Data were collected through surveys, quizzes, and follow-up questionnaires administered after hanja learning. The findings reveal several key points: learners generally perceive hanja education as necessary and important, yet often view it as irrelevant to beginner-level Korean or everyday conversation; they struggle to distinguish Sino-Korean vocabulary from native Korean words, particularly monosyllabic ones; and while meaning inference is facilitated when Sino-Korean words correspond directly to English or the learner’s native language, it becomes difficult when words have extended semantic ranges requiring cultural or historical knowledge. The study further highlights the risk of learners forming entrenched misconceptions if semantic networks of hanja are not properly presented, underscoring the need for careful pedagogical strategies that emphasize accurate meaning transmission and effective presentation of high-frequency Sino-Korean lexical networks. Ultimately, this research suggests that although learners acknowledge the usefulness of hanja for Korean language acquisition, challenges such as mother-tongue interference, semantic extension, and preconceived notions about the role of hanja in advanced vocabulary require sustained attention in future pedagogical approaches
