La discriminazione intersezionale. Questioni definitorie, probatorie e nuove prospettive aperte dalla Dir. 2023/970.

    No full text
The essay examines intersectional discrimination, particularly in European anti-discrimination law, focusing on definitional and evidentiary issues that have emerged at the jurisprudential level and the prospects introduced by Directive 970/2023 on the gender pay gap. The reflection extends to the future implications of a legal framework that could evolve into a more equity-oriented system, provided that the theoretical and practical challenges posed are effectively addressed

    No full text

Il contributo intende sinteticamente analizzate i principali profili problematici, nel quadro dell'attuale democrazia costituzionale, dell'autonomia territoriale, con particolare riguardo ai rapporti tra i livelli territoriali di governo anche in relazione al rapporto dialettico tra istanze unitarie e autonomisticheThe essay aims to synthetically analyse the main problematic aspects of territorial autonomy within the framework of the current constitutional democracy, with particular attention to the relationships between the territorial levels of government also in relation to the dialectical relationship between unitary and autonomist instances

    No full text
The essay deals with the phenomenon of minority governments from a constitutionalist and theoretical approach. Firstly, it is examined how the various parliamentary-type Constitutions contemplate the possibility of creating minority governments. Secondly, it reflects on how the formation of minority cabinets affects the rules of operation of the parliamentary system

Humor abismal. Texto, síntoma y muerte en Claudio Bertoni

    No full text

Influence of shipping activities on air and water quality in the Northern Adriatic Sea: A high-resolution modelling study

    Get PDF
This study examined shipping's impact on air and water quality in the Northern Adriatic Sea using high-resolution models. Studied pollutants included cadmium, lead, benzo-a-pyrene, fluoranthene, ozone, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter (PM2.5). Shipping emissions, estimated via the Ship Traffic Emission Assessment Model (STEAM), were integrated with land-based emissions to simulate water and air quality using the ChemicalDrift and System for Integrated modeLling of Atmospheric coMposition (SILAM) models. Shipping contribution to water and sediments pollution is concentrated along shipping lanes, especially in early summer. Shipping contributes significantly to SO2 and NOx levels near harbours and shipping lanes, while O3 and PM2.5 changes affect the entire study area. A holistic evaluation for any management scenario considering both water and air quality will be needed to identify the best strategy to ensure both human health and marine environment protection

ECAM: A Contrastive Learning Approach to Avoid Environmental Collision in Trajectory Forecasting

    Get PDF
Human trajectory forecasting is crucial in applications such as autonomous driving, robotics and surveillance. Accurate forecasting requires models to consider various factors, including social interactions, multi-modal predictions, pedestrian intention and environmental context. While existing methods account for these factors, they often overlook the impact of the environment, which leads to collisions with obstacles. This paper introduces ECAM (Environmental Collision Avoidance Module), a contrastive learning-based module to enhance collision avoidance ability with the environment. The proposed module can be integrated into existing trajectory forecasting models, improving their ability to generate collision-free predictions. We evaluate our method on the ETH/UCY dataset and quantitatively and qualitatively demonstrate its collision avoidance capabilities. Our experiments show that state-of-the-art methods significantly reduce (-40/50%) the collision rate when integrated with the proposed module

Sit on Osiris’ Chair: Uses, Meanings, and Graphic Forms of ḥmsi҆ in the Pyramid Texts

    No full text
ḥmsỉ (“to sit”) is a root that occurs frequently in the Pyramid Texts, allowing a quite reliable analysis of both its semantic and graphic value. It is attested almost 200 times in the corpus, and in more than half of the cases the spelling includes an anthropomorphic determinative, although never in its complete form. This aspect appears particularly interesting, considering that in the Pyramid Texts many lexemes are lacking determinatives/taxograms at all, and that especially anthropomorphic ones are totally avoided or barley partially represented. The choice of analysing this lexeme is precisely explained by its relative abundance in the corpus and by the interest it can assume in a lexicographic perspective. Basing on these benchmarks, the paper intends to gather the instances of ḥmsỉ in the Old Kingdom Pyramid Texts, in order to: -Examine the meaning and semantic value of the lexeme in different spells. -Analyse all its different graphic forms, trying to suggest possible explanations for the “mutilated” or, better, partially represented glyphs phenomena. -Investigate the lexeme in a diachronic perspective through the comparison with the Middle Kingdom copies of Pyramid Texts spells
