Shakespeare and Anglicanism : In relation to Anglican comprehensiveness, Elizabeth I and the Books of Homilies

    Get PDF
This research paper will infer that Shakespeare in his plays shared Anglican dogmas, ideas, and attitudes: comprehension, compromise, via media, passive obedience, hate for rebels, a divine king, and a longing for order. Though we cannot find decisive evidence of his religious conviction in public records and his works, and every argument remains speculative, it is felt unnatural for some readers of sixteenth- and seventeeth-century English literature to assume an a-historical and secular stance to Shakespeare’s works. Many plays were written in the age of the Elizabethan Settlement with the via media policies which sought a compromise between Protestantism and Catholicism. The queen was inclusive, pragmatic, and sometimes tyrannical, and, as Francis Bacon wrote, she told her subjects that “I have no desire to make windows into men’s souls,” meaning that she just wanted outward obedience in church and state. Therefore, England under her reign enjoyed peace for more than forty years at home and for thirty years abroad. Shakespreare lived during golden age in English history. Religious Shakespeare is not popular among academics, still there are important preceding studies and comments on his faith, some of which will be reviewed for grasping the general outline of the topic

Image-based fashion recommendation with attention to users’ interests

    Get PDF
Building effective fashion recommendation systems is challenging due to the high level of subjectivity and the semantic complexity of the features involved. Users’ decision depends largely on their own interest and the appearance of the product, such information is often hidden in implicit feedback from users’ purchase histories and product images. Most of the interest based recommendation systems like Deep Interest Network (DIN) and Deep Interest Evolution Network (DIEN) only take advantage of product attributes and context review, which are basically all text information. There are also some studies focusing on the use of image features for fashion product recommendation, they try to extract features from images and recommend products based on their similarity. However, for DIEN. It works not well when there’s little interactions between users and items, the model can not find user’s interest effectively. These image based recommendation systems, on the other hand, they tend to ignore an important factor: user’s interest. We propose a new system trying to find user’s interest by introducing the visual information of the product and our image based deep interest attention model based on DIEN. Product attributes and user preference can both be represented by introducing their visual information, we can model the similar attribute items in the same place and find user interests more effectively. We conducted some experiments on the public dataset to compare our methods with the DIEN and some other existing methods. Our experimental results demonstrate that visual information effectively aids click rate prediction and achieved better recommendation results

Natural Text-Driven, Multi-Attribute Editing of Facial Images with Robustness in Sparse Latent Space

    Get PDF
Due to the development of GAN and the proposal of many excellent models like StyleGAN, text-driven image editing and image generation have made great progress in recent years, but the task of generating diverse images of specific people under the guidance of text is still lacking. This paper combines two pre-training models, CLIP and StyleGAN2, to conduct a preliminary exploration of the above tasks. The latent code of the input portrait is driven to be edited and manipulated in the StyleGAN latent space via a CLIP-based text-driven module. Especially in the sparse region of the generator latent space, and when editing multiple attributes at the same time, some good results have finally been achieved

Implementation and Study of Optimal Parameters by Taichi of Particle-Based Simulation with Stable Fluid-Rigid Interaction

    Get PDF
The author implements of the interlinked SPH method with the Taichi programming language and investigates of optimal parameters for simulations considering fluid-rigid-body interactions. The author implements of the interlinked SPH method proposed by Gissler et al. with the Taichi data-oriented programming language proposed by Hu et al. for particle-based simulations that simultaneously handle fluid and rigid interactions, to stabilize and speed up the simulation. Taichi is a programming language that uses hierarchical data structures to accelerate operations by utilizing the sparsity of particle data. The optimal values for the parameters of the hierarchical data structure differ from scene to scene. Therefore, the author investigates the optimal parameters for hierarchical data structures by measuring the processing speed of multiple scenes for each number of layers

RESEARCH ON OPTIMAL CONFIGURATION OF HYBRID SYSTEM FOR eVTOL FOR URBAN AIR MOBILITY

    Get PDF
In recent years, the development of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) has been heating up. However, the dominant design of the aircraft concept has varied because the concept of operations has not been fixed. The most important concern of eVTOL aircraft component is the battery performance and it regulates the cruising range and the operation time, so a hybrid system using both an internal combustion engine and a battery is being developed, but the optimal system configuration has not yet been established. In this study, the hybrid system configurations for eVTOL under a certain concept of operations were discussed and the optimal hybrid configuration was proposed
