The increase of the city population and the number of vehicles brought heavy traffic jam in many cities. To reduce traffic congestion is one of the important tasks in order to reduce economic loss as well as the environmental pollution. Once a traffic jam takes place, we hope to eliminate the jam immediately by means of changing paths of some vehicles. Several studies tackle this problem. However, they enforce vehicles located very close to the traffic jam to change their paths, which results in large delay due to inefficient detour paths. This not only fails to persuade the vehicle drivers to change their paths, but also causes another traffic jam on the detour paths. In this paper, based on the observation that some vehicles often have alternative paths to avoid congested road segments with similar taking time, we propose a new route guidance method that offers vehicles better alternative paths with which the time to reach their destinations would be minimized. Through evaluation, we demonstrated that the proposed method significantly reduces the traveling time of vehicles while clearing the traffic jam within the same time duration

In order to identify easily-overlooked nonfunctional requirements, many automated classification methods for nonfunctional requirements have been proposed. Existing methods, however, have common shortcomings: (1) they does not consider similarities among words used in requirement documents and sometimes classify requirements described using similar words into different classes, and (2) they also does not consider order relations of words used in requirement documents and they sometimes classify requirements using different phrases with the same words into the same class. The goal of our study is to improve the classification accuracy by considering similarities and order relations among words used in requirement documents. Our method unifies synonyms in requirement documents by using (1-A) a thesaurus (SEThesaurus) and (1-B) word embeddings (Word2vec, fastText, and SO_Word2vec) to resolve the issue of similarities among words used in requirement documents. It also extracts phrases of (1) fixed-length word N-grams and (2) variable-length word N-gram (N ≥ 1) to resolve the issue of order relations of words used in requirement documents. As a result of a security classification experiment, our method outperformed the existing method and showed a combination of the synonym unification and the phrase extraction is different from properties of security requirements

Emergency situations often facilitate rumor mongering; thus, it is imperative to study methods to eliminate this problem. This study analyzed the characteristics of microblogging during the coronavirus pandemic. The analysis based on six months of microblogging rumor correction-related data showed that some characteristics of microblogging in emergency situations should be considered in order to counter the spread of rumors through microblogs in the future. (1) In the entire dataset, the proportion of rumors regarding the emergency compared to total rumors was low. However, this proportion showed considerable daily variation, with some days accounting for a larger proportion. Moreover, real-world events caused by rumors could occur before this proportion increased. (2) Rumors regarding the emergency were classified into 11 types, which contained information that could incline people toward showing some behaviors or make a difference to someone socially. Moreover, they could negatively affect individuals' economic and mental health conditions. (3) The study identified the following types of rumors: (A) rumors that decreased after an initial rapid increase during a short period and (B) rumors that increased during some periods. (4) Knowledge from previous studies on oral communication may not apply to rumor spreading on microblogging systems
