Case Studies of Garden Tourism in Nara Prefecture and Ehime Prefecture Centering on Historic Gardens
Get PDFThis paper proposes the garden tourism plans for Nara and Ehime prefectures under the “Garden tourism registration system” managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Government of Japan. The proposed plan for Nara prefecture is titled “Tour visiting historic gardens around Mahoroba (the best region of the country)” based on the prefectureʼs advantage that the historic gardens through the 7th to 20th centuries remain preserved in the historic conditions and are open to the public. The title proposed for Ehime prefecture is “Ehime road along which visitors can enjoy castles and gardens.” This makes use of the characteristics of the prefecture where the five large-scale castle sites are arranged to the historic parks and some splendid historic gardens remain in the beautiful landscapes and are open to the public
Gender Differences in Entrepreneurship through Text Mining
No full textThe gender gap in entrepreneurship is a well-known phenomenon. However, research on the gender gap among entrepreneurs in Japan is limited and still developing. This study aims to investigate the gender differences in entrepreneurs’ activities by conducting text mining on their discourse. However, researchers in the humanities and social sciences who emphasize case studies often have reservations about text mining as the words extracted through morphological analysis may seem divorced from their context and not adequately reflect the underlying reality. One way to address these concerns is through mixed research methods. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches can yield a deeper understanding of research questions than relying on either one exclusively.This study has identified two binary gender differences: differences in motivation for entrepreneurial endeavors and those arising from gender role expectations. The former distinction arises from the difference between male entrepreneurs, who adopt a proactive approach to prevent external factors such as individual or social burdens or discomfort to preserve their self-esteem, and female entrepreneurs, who aim to realize internal factors such as self-orientation, satisfaction, and values. The latter distinction is related to traditional gender norms within the family, which are instrumental in defining the roles and responsibilities of men and women

Practice of Expression Exercise in Elementary School Physical Education : From the Questionnaire of Immersiveness and the Analysis of the Learning Card
No full textIn this study, in the expression movement unit, expression was practiced in the first half and rhythm dance was practiced in the second half of class at each hour as goal-free learning (Murata,2011),and the results were examined. In addition, in the expression, the theme was fireworks, wind, storm, typhoon, thunder, etc.as the teaching contents of the “Four Scraps”. In rhythm dance, there was an activity to create a group dance for the theme song.As a result, the degree of immersion increased slightly during the unit, showing a high value during the unit. In addition, trial and error showed high values at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th hours, and tended to increase throughout the unit. Significant improvement was also observed in cooperation at the 2nd,3rd,6th,and 7th hours. In addition, all the values tended to improve throughout the unit.On the other hand, the recognition of childrenʼs activities from the analysis of learning cards changed from “movement” to “expression” and “dancing”. This could be understood as the learning progressed from the stage of imitating others to the stage of expressing oneself and dancing as a work. This could be interpreted as being able to approach my own expression (Yanase,2019). These changes in cognition are thought to have been created by learning the Scraps in expression
A Trial of Cross-Curricular Programming Education Incorporating Creative Activities.
Get PDFAs a new trial of elementary school programming education, we took pictures of painted fish on paper with a tablet device and programmed the fish to move as desired. The goal of this practice was to improve “observation and recording” skills, which is a subject objective of Life Science and Science； to develop expressive skills, which is an objective of Arts and Crafts； and to foster computational thinking, which is an objective of programming education. The results of the trial lesson proved that it was developmentally appropriate for the target students, and the studentsʼ motivation and awareness of programming were improved, indicating that the lesson could be positioned as a cross-curricular class
