No full textMero, Prassilla, Anite, Saffo, Erinna, Telesilla, Corinna, Nosside, Mirtide… “Nove le Muse create da Urano; nove la Terra per nostra eterna gioia ne creò” (Ant. Pal. IV, 26; traduzione di F. M. Pontani).
Saffo è probabilmente la più nota poetessa dell’antichità ma non è certo la sola, come ricordano nei loro epigrammi Antipatro di Tessalonica e Meleagro di Gadara. Se Antipatro paragona le poetesse alle Muse, Meleagro le accosta a dei fiori: un’associazione che non può che tornarci alla mente nel primo giorno di primavera, giornata mondiale della poesia.
Oltre a loro, in una panoramica attraverso i secoli: Giulia Balbilla, Sulpicia, Proba, Elia Eudocia, Cassia, Anna Comnena…
Chiude il percorso un’incursione nella poesia greca contemporanea.

Literatur der (Post-)Migration. Komplexitäts- und Identitätsfragen der deutschsprachigen Literatur im globalisierten Zeitalter
No full textThis volume brings together contributions from the international conference "Literatur zwischen Migration und Globalisierung. Formen der Komplexität in der deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur", which took place in May 2022 at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. It aims to reflect on the literature of migration of the last thirty years and to situate it in the increasingly complex world of our globalised present, crossed by the movements of people and cultures.
The reflections of the individual essays take, as point of departure, the common observation that the literature of (post)migration is characterised by careful linguistic research and radical aesthetic experimentation, capable of interrogating our intercultural reality and of restoring a likewise complex image of the world and of society. The contributors that have converged in the present volume focus on examining the issues of complexity and identity, which, in the texts they discuss, are inextricably linked to the narration of spaces, borders, and movements. In the works of Uljana Wolf, Olga Grjasnowa, Emine Sevgi Özdamar, Michael Stavarič, Terézia Mora, Emilia Smechowski, Feridun Zaimoglu, and Sasha Marianna Salzmann, the literary language variously becomes a means to explore new possibilities of meaning, to recover what has been erased, to reconstruct the biographical stratifications inscribed in the bodies, to feel at home in a foreign world, to criticise the historical memory of society, to register bilingualisms, conflicts, and ‘in-betweenness’, and hence to narrate the new forms of identity, of hybrid identity, of postidentity, and of gender identity that are formed as a result of first, second, or third generation migrations and in correspondence with precise geographical and human spaces.This volume brings together contributions from the international conference "Literatur zwischen Migration und Globalisierung. No full textIl 21 gennaio 2023, in occasione del quinto compleanno della Biblioteca Liviano e nell\u27ambito dei festeggiamenti per l\u27Ottocentenario dell\u27Università di Padova, si è tenuta la conferenza "Le immagini del potere, il potere delle immagini: gli affreschi di Guariento nella Reggia Carrarese, patrimonio dell’umanità".
Per la prima volta, le sale di lettura della Biblioteca Liviano si sono trasformate in uno spazio di dialogo culturale aperto alla cittadinanza, la cui risposta positiva ha superato le aspettative: i 50 posti disponibili sono stati esauriti il primo giorno di prenotazioni, ma anche alcune delle persone in lista d\u27attesa hanno avuto l\u27opportunità di partecipare.
Dopo il saluto iniziale della direttrice del Polo Umanistico, Luisa Buson, e l\u27introduzione della bibliotecaria Patrizia Leone, i partecipanti hanno potuto ascoltare l’intervento di Giovanna Valenzano. Professoressa ordinaria di Storia dell’arte medievale, ha fatto parte del comitato che ha curato la candidatura per l’inserimento nella lista Unesco dei cicli affrescati del XIV secolo di Padova ed è membro dell’attuale comitato di pilotaggio del sito. Nel suo intervento, ha raccontato in dettaglio la motivazione e il processo della candidatura Unesco.
In seguito, Zuleika Murat, professoressa associata di Storia dell’arte medievale, ha dedicato il suo intervento proprio all\u27opera di Guariento, oggetto di molti dei suoi studi. Al termine della conferenza, i partecipanti hanno avuto l\u27opportunità di proseguire l\u27approfondimento in loco, con la visita guidata dalla professoressa Murat nelle sale affrescate della Reggia Carrarese, all\u27Accademia Galileiana.

Discorso inaugurale della Magnifica Rettrice. Anno accademico 2022-2023
No full textIl nostro Ateneo, fondato nel 1868, compie 155 anni. Mi capita spesso di rievocare la nascita di Ca’ Foscari, e nel farlo ogni volta penso a quanto fu lungimirante, moderno e attuale il pensiero dei suoi fondatori, Luigi Luzzatti, Edoardo Deodati, Francesco Ferrara.
La nostra identità è ancora oggi quella di due secoli fa, pur con i dovuti e inevitabili cambiamenti: siamo un’università aperta al mondo, fortemente orientata alle relazioni internazionali e all’interdisciplinarità.
Fin dalle origini, accanto all’economia e al commercio, da noi si studiavano le scienze diplomatiche e le lingue europee, del Vicino e Medio Oriente e dell’Asia. Il futuro viene da lontano: l’innovazione è inscritta nella nostra tradizione.
Come disse il grande politico, intellettuale e pacifista francese Jean Jaurès, «la tradizione non consiste nel conservare le ceneri ma nel mantenere viva una fiamma».Our university, founded in 1868, is 155 years old. I often recall the birth of Ca’ Foscari, and in doing so each time I think of how far-sighted, modern and groundbreaking the ideas of its founders, Luigi Luzzatti, Edoardo Deodati and Francesco Ferrara, were.
Our identity today is still the same as it was two centuries ago, albeit with due and inevitable changes: we are a university open to the world, strongly oriented towards international relations and interdisciplinarity. From the very beginning, alongside economics and commerce, we studied diplomatic sciences and the languages of Europe, the Near and Middle East and Asia.
The future comes from afar: innovation is inscribed in our tradition. As the great French politician, intellectual and pacifist Jean Jaurès said, “tradition is not about preserving ashes but about keeping a flame alive”
