This repository contains the raw dataset associated to the scientific article "Stable psychological traits predict psychological perceived stress to COVID-19 outbreak”, by L. Flesia, V. Fietta, B. Segatto, M. Monaro. Data are contained in the excel file and organized as follows: - the entire dataset used by the authors to perform statistical analysis - the training set used by the authors to train and validate ML models - the test set used by the authors to test the ML models The "Legend" file contains the description of each variable in the excel file. The step by step instructions to replicate the results of ML classification models, which are reported in the paper, including two .arff files containing the training and test set od data that can be directly run in WEKA software 3.9. The "COVID-19 QUESTIONNAIRE" file contains the English version of the questions administered to participants

This dataset is obtained by merging three different datasets coming from the University of Padua (academic year: 2012-2013).
The first one is the standard online survey carried out by the University to measure students' opinions on the didactic activities of bachelor degree courses. The second one is the administrative dataset that collects information on the teachers and the didactic activities. The third one is an innovative dataset, collected by means of a new online survey aiming at providing a picture of the teaching experiences developed in the university classrooms. Indeed, the University of Padua in 2013 promoted the PRODID (“Teacher professional development and academic educational innovation” – in italian “Preparazione alla professionalità docente e innovazione didattica”). Numerical magnitude, rather than individual bias, explains spatial numerical association in newborn chicks
We associate small numbers with the left side and large numbers with the right side of space. Recent evidence from human newborns and non-human animals has challenged the primary role assigned to culture, chiefly linked to reading and writing habits, in determining this spatial numerical association (SNA). Nevertheless, the effect of individual spatial biases has not been considered in previous research. Here we tested the effect of numerical magnitude in SNA and we also controlled for individual biases. We trained 3-day-old chicks (Gallus gallus) on a given numerical magnitude (i.e., 5). Then chicks could choose between two identical, left or right, stimuli both representing either 2, 8, or the familiar numerosity (5). We computed the percentage of Left-sided Choice (LC). We found that LC is explained by numerical magnitude: LC2vs.2 > LC5vs.5 > LC8vs.8, and not by individual lateral bias in the spatial task. This findings suggest that SNA originates from pre-linguistic precursors, and paves the way to the investigation of the neural correlates of the number space association
