A study on the effectiveness of 802.11AX spatial reuse mechanisms in university residence hall wireless networks
No full textThis thesis investigates the effectiveness of 802.11ax spatial reuse mechanisms, specifically BSS Coloring, SRG OBSS PD, and BSS TWT in improving wireless performance in university residence hall (res-hall) environments. With the growing demand for high-speed, reliable wireless connectivity driven by the proliferation of devices among students, traditional wireless networks face significant interference and congestion challenges in these high-density environments. This study evaluates how these 802.11ax mechanisms address these issues by analyzing real-world data collected from res-hall networks in two locations composed of different construction compositions. This thesis explores the unique characteristics of res-hall environments, such as signal attenuation caused by physical structures and the impact of overlapping basic service sets (OBSS) and how these characteristics affect performance. It further assesses the potential improvements introduced by the spatial reuse features of 802.11ax in mitigating interference and congestion. By analyzing data from production networks, the study measures the impact of these mechanisms on interference reduction and overall network performance. These findings aim to guide future implementations of 802.11ax networks in similar high-density and interference-prone university residence hall networks

He was born in Fort Worth to a military family, on May 20th, 1945. He talks about his services, near death experiences in the rocket attacks at his hospital in Vietnam, his experiences post-military service, and reception by the greater civilian population in America and Vietnam, as well as his PTSD. He also discusses the impact of his service, both in his personal and professional life. Ortegon was drafted into service for the Vietnam War in 1966 but quickly volunteered to undergo Army Ranger training straight out of bootcamp. Ortegon describes his experience training in an exclusive MACV Recondo school in Vietnam as well as some of his participation in a long-range reconnaissance patrol team. Throughout the interview, Ortegon elaborates on his own memories of life after returning from combat and how it affected him in his civilian life. Universality of therapeutic processes across different counseling modalities
No full textA consensus has not been made to what counseling therapeutic modality is the most effective. There are many theories and forms of integration to provide psychotherapy services and deciding which therapeutic orientation to use specially for beginning therapists can be daunting. Luckily, there are training models that have been developed for beginning therapists to conceptualize the therapy process in a variety of ways. One of which is The Key Strategies Process for Individual Training Model (KST-IP) which conceptualizes three modalities at once and assumes that all therapeutic modalities share common processes. This study explored the processes and strategies suggested by the KST-IP model in the terms of perceived importance of practicing clinicians in the field of psychology of eight different therapeutic modalities. Results showed significant results that clinicians regardless of their therapeutic orientation find the processes and strategies proposed by the KST-IP model to be important
