    Innovativeness of small and medium-sized enterprises : Final paper

    Inovativnost je ključni faktor održivog rasta i konkurentnosti malih i srednjih poduzeća, koja su temelj gospodarskog sustava većine zemalja. Radom je istražena primjena inovacija u poslovanju malih i srednjih poduzeća. Inovativnost je alat koje poduzeće primjenjuje kako bi uspješno reagiralo na tržišne promjene koje prepoznaje kao priliku za vlastiti razvoj. Inovacije stvaraju konkurentsku prednost poduzeća te osiguravaju postojanost i prepoznatljivost poduzeća na tržištu. Radom se prikazane specifične karakteristike malih i srednjih poduzeća koje utječu na njihove inovacijske kapacitete. U istraživačkom dijelu rada prikazane su uspješne osječke prakse iz različitih sektora, koje potvrđuju kako inovacije nisu rezervirane samo za velika poduzeća, već da i mala i srednja poduzeća, uz odgovarajuće strategije i podršku mogu uspješno razvijati inovativna rješenja i ostvariti značajnu tržišnu prednost. Uz to, nužno je ulagati u ljudske resurse, suradnju sa drugim tržišnim sudionicima te stvarati poticajnu poslovnu okolinu.Innovation is a key factor in the sustainable growth and competitiveness of small and mediumsized enterprises, which are the foundation of the economic system of most countries. The paper explores innovation in the business of small and medium-sized enterprises. Innovation is a tool that a company uses to successfully respond to market changes that it recognizes as an opportunity for its own development. Innovation creates a competitive advantage for a company and ensures the company's stability and recognition in the market. The paper presents the specific characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprises that affect their innovation capacities. The research part of the paper presents successful Osijek practices from various sectors, which confirm that innovation is not reserved only for large companies, but that small and medium-sized enterprises, with appropriate strategies and support, can successfully develop innovative solutions and achieve a significant market advantage.     Comparison of Empathy Among Final-Year Students of Dental Medicine, Physiotherapy, and Nursing

    Cilj istraživanja: Istražiti i usporediti razinu empatije među studentima završnih godina studija dentalne medicine, fizioterapije i sestrinstva kako bi se utvrdile moguće razlike u izraženosti empatijskih kompetencija među budućim zdravstvenim djelatnicima. Nacrt studije: Presječna. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 208 studenata završnih godina triju studijskih programa Fakulteta za dentalnu medicinu i zdravstvo u Osijeku: dentalne medicine (n = 46), fizioterapije (n = 54) i sestrinstva (n = 108). Empatija je procijenjena pomoću validiranoga upitnika Jefferson Scale of Empathy – Health Professions Students Version (JSE-HPS). Za statističku analizu korišteni su Mann-Whitneyjev U test i Studentova t-analiza uz razinu značajnosti postavljenu na p ≤ 0,05. Rezultati: Rezultati su pokazali da studenti fizioterapije imaju statistički znatno višu razinu ukupne empatije u odnosu na studente sestrinstva (p = 0,04), dok studenti dentalne medicine pokazuju znatno višu razinu kognitivne empatije, odnosno uzimanja perspektive u odnosu na studente sestrinstva (p = 0,01). Nisu pronađene znatne razlike između studenata dentalne medicine i fizioterapije. Studenti sestrinstva pokazali su višu razinu suosjećajne skrbi u odnosu na studente fizioterapije (p = 0,03). Zaključak: Studenti svih zdravstvenih studija pokazuju visoku razinu empatije s određenim razlikama u pojedinim komponentama. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju na potrebu sustavne edukacije i razvoja emocionalnih kompetencija u okviru kurikuluma zdravstvenih studija.Objectives: To investigate and compare the level of empathy among final-year students of dental medicine, physiotherapy, and nursing to identify potential differences in developing empathic competencies among future healthcare professionals. Study Design: cross-sectional, comparative study Participants and Methods: The study included 208 final-year students from three study programs at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek: dental medicine (n=46), physiotherapy (n=54), and nursing (n=108). Empathy was assessed using the validated Jefferson Scale of Empathy – Health Professions Students Version (JSE-HPS). Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney U test and Student’s t-test, with the significance level determined at p≤0.05. Results: The results showed that physiotherapy students had a significantly higher overall empathy level compared to nursing students (p=0.04). Dental medicine students showed significantly higher cognitive empathy level (perspective-taking) compared to nursing students (p=0.01). No significant differences were found between dental medicine and physiotherapy students. Nursing students demonstrated a significantly higher compassionate care level compared to physiotherapy students (p=0.03). Conclusion: Students across all three health-related study programs exhibit a high level of empathy, with some differences in specific components. These findings highlight the importance of systematically developing emotional and communication competencies through healthcare curricula

    Creation by evolution: Darwin and some contemporary theological reflections

    Odgovor na pitanje postanka svijeta, života i čovjeka pronalazi se u dva, naizgled nedodirljiva, pravca. S jedne strane odgovor na ovo pitanje kadra je dati prirodna znanost, točnije biologija koja svoju legitimnost zasniva na dokazima teorije evolucije. S druge strane odgovor se pronalazi u vjeri u stvaranje. Diplomski rad bavit će se temom evolucije u svjetlu teologije stvaranja. Prvo je predstavljena Darwinova teorija evolucije koja je svojom pojavom i percepcijom potresla do tada poznatu i prihvaćenu kršćansku sliku svijeta prema kojoj vrste postoje u onom broju i obliku kakvima su na početku stvorene. Slijedom toga teologija stvaranja doživjela je egzodus pred prirodoznanstvenim dokazima evolucije. U drugom dijelu bit će prikazana teologija stvaranja Josepha Ratzingera koja „stoji“ kao poziv drugim teolozima na smjeli pristup ovoj temi. Na koncu, rad će prikazati usporedno promatranje teorije evolucije i teologije stvaranja kroz misli Josepha Ratzingera koje mogu poslužiti teolozima kao polazna točka u tumačenju stvaranja svijeta evolucijom. Isto tako, rad će predstaviti pitanje duše koje je kamen spoticanja u simbiotičkom pristupanju teoriji evolucije i teologiji stvaranja u svjetlu promišljanja hrvatskog teologa Tončija Matulića.The answer to the question of the origin of the world, life and man can be found in two, seemingly untouchable, directions. On the one hand, the answer to this question is able to be given by natural science, more precisely biology, which bases its legitimacy on the evidence of the theory of evolution. On the other hand, the answer is found in faith in creation. This paper will deal with the topic of evolution in the light of creation theology. First, Darwin's theory of evolution is presented, which, with its appearance and perception, shook the previously known and accepted Christian picture of the world, according to which species exist in the number and form in which they were initially created. Consequently, the theology of creation experienced an exodus in the face of natural scientific evidence of evolution. In the second part, Joseph Ratzinger's theology of creation will be presented, which stands as a call to other theologians to boldly approach this topic. At the end, the paper will present a comparative observation of the theory of evolution and the theology of creation through the thoughts of Joseph Ratzinger, which can serve theologians as a starting point in the interpretation of the creation of the world through evolution. Likewise, the paper will present the question of the soul, which is a stumbling block in the symbiotic approach to the theory of evolution and the theology of creation, in light of the thinking of the Croatian theologian Tonči Matulić

    Upotreba umjetne inteligencije u upravljanju prometom može značajno poboljšati efikasnost, održivost i sigurnost prometnog sustava. Promet je jedno od područja koji bitno utječe na kvalitetu života današnjeg čovjeka, ali i na području sigurnosti. Danas se gradovi sve više okreću prema pametnim rješenjima. Dio pametnih gradova je i pametno upravljanje prometom. Pametni prometni sustav uvelike ovisi o implementaciji umjetne inteligencije. Umjetna inteligencija (AI) se danas koristi na različite načine, od osobnih pomoćnika do samovozećeg automobila. Umjetna inteligencija iznimno se brzo razvija, a samim time se širi i područje njezine primjene. Umjetna inteligencija odnosi se na sposobnost strojeva da oponašaju ljudsku inteligenciju i obavljaju zadatke koji obično zahtijevaju ljudsku inteligenciju, kao što su učenje, rješavanje problema, donošenje odluka i razumijevanje prirodnog jezika. Umjetna inteligencija je grana znanosti koja koristi računalo za oponašanje ljudskog mozga u rješavanju složenih problema što rezultira inteligentnim rješenjem s minimalnim mogućnostima za pogreške. Danas je umjetna inteligencija implementirana u sve aspekte čovjekovog življenja i funkcioniranja. Duboko učenje, strojno učenje i teorija igara najčešće su korištene grane umjetne inteligencije. Pametni grad uključuje širok raspon primjena u pametnom prijevozu, pametnoj zdravstvenoj skrbi, pametnom parkiranju, pametnom obrazovanju i pametnim javnim uslugama. Ove aplikacije zahtijevaju senzore, obradu velikih podataka, komunikaciju i sigurnost. Brojne su prednosti korištenja umjetne inteligencije za održavanje prometa kao odgovor na trenutnu situaciju. Među njima su ključne s ljedeće prednosti: Promet se odvija glatko zahvaljujući Al, Bolje je za okoliš kada nema prometne zagušenosti, Mnogi korporativni postupci mogu se optimizirati zahvaljujući Al, Pažljivim kontroliranjem protoka prometa, ljudska pogreška, daleko najčešći uzrok, nesreća, može se gotovo svesti na minimum. Stope nesreće mogu se značajno smanjiti ako se ljudski aspekt eliminira. Sustavi upravljanja i kontrole gradskog prometa (UTMC) povezuju nekoliko različitih računalnih aplikacija za poboljšanje upravljanja prometom. Oni su razvoj postojećih sustava upravljanja gradskim prometom (UTC) i činit će sljedeću generaciju prometnih sustava. Unutar UTMC okvira nekoliko aplikacija za upravljanje i kontrolu prometa može slobodno razmjenjivati podatke korištenjem zajedničke specifikacije za pohranu i prijenos podataka. Jedna od karakteristika UTMC sustava je da se podaci iz različitih aplikacija mogu organizirati u zajedničku bazu podataka s dvije ključne svrhe: Pružiti alate za upravljanje operaterima sustava, Informirati kreatore politike o trendovima. Cilj održivog upravljanja prometom korištenjem ITS (Inteligentni transportni sustav) pristupa u pametnim gradovima je uspostaviti robusne transportne sustave koji bi mogli pružiti pouzdane i učinkovite mreže, upravljati ukupnim vremenom putovanja, minimizirati potrošnju goriva i ublažiti očekivana zagađenja okruženja. U pametnim gradovima, odredbe o parkiranju i lokacije od ključne su važnosti jer nepravilno i neprikladno parkiranje može učiniti neke sustave upravljanja prometom nefunkcionalnim. Umjetna inteligencija može pomoći u upravljanju parkiranja putem sustava koji prate dostupnost parkirnih mjesta i informiraju vozače o slobodnim kapacitetima. To smanjuje vrijeme provedeno u potrazi za parkirnim mjestom i posljedično smanjuje gužve. Integracija umjetne inteligencije u upravljanju gradskim prometom omogućava prilagodljivost, brzu reakciju na promjene i optimizaciju resursa, čime se unapređuje ukupno iskustvo građana u kretanju gradom.The use of artificial intelligence in traffic management can significantly im prove the efficiency, sustainability and safety of the transport system. Traffic is one of the areas that significantly affects the quality of life of today's man, but a Iso in the field of safety. Today, cities are increasingly turning to smart solutions. Smart traffic management is also part of smart cities. The smart transport system is highly dependent on the implementation of artificial inteligence. Artificial intelligence (A!) is used in a variety of ways today, from personal assistants to a selfdriving car. Artificial intelligence is developing extremely quickly, and thus the field of its application is expanding. Artificial intelligence refers to the ability of machines to mimic human intelligence and perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, decision-making, and natura! language comprehension . Artificial intelligence is a branch of science that uses a computer to mimic the human brain in solving complex problems, resulting in an intelligent solution with minimal possibilities for error. Today, artificial intelligence has been implemented in ali aspects of human life and functioning. Deep learning, machine learning, and game theory are the most commonly used branches of artificial intelligence. A smart city includes a wide range of applications in smart transportation, smart healthcare, smart parking, smart education, and smart public services. These applications require sensors, big data processing, communication, and security. There are numerous benefits to using AI to maintain traffic in response to the current situation. Among them, the following advantages are crucial: - Traffic runs smoothly thanks to AI - It is better for the environment when there is no traffic congestion - Many corporate processes can be optimized thanks to AI - By carefully controlling the flow of traffic, human error, by far the most common cause of accidents, can be almost minimized. Accident rates can be significantly reduced if the human aspect is eliminated. Urban Traffic Management and Control (UTMC) systems connect several different computer applications to im prove traffic management. They are an evolution of existing urban traffic management (UTC) systems and will form the next generation of transport systems. Within the UTMC framework, several traffic management and control applications can freely exchange data using a common specification to store and transmit data. One of the characteristics of a UTMC system is that data from different applications can be organized into a common database with two key purposes: - Provide tools to manage system operators - Inforrn policymakers about trends The goal of sustainable traffic management using the ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) approach in smart cities isto establish robust transportation systems that could provide reliable and efficient networks, manage overall trave! time, minimize fuel consumption, and mitigate expected environmental pollution. In smart cities, parking provisions and locations are crucial because improper and inappropriate parking can render some traffic management systems dysfunctional. Artificial intelligence can help manage parking through systems that monitor the availability of parking spaces and inform drivers about available capacities. This reduces the time spent looking fora parking space and consequently reduces congestion. The integration of artificial intelligence in urban traffic management enables adaptability, quick reaction to changes and optimization of resources, thus improving the overall experience of citizens in moving around the city

    Zadatak završnog rada bio je dimenzionirati elemente zadanog nosača (odrediti dimenzije poprečnih presjeka) prema trenutno važećim HRN EN normama i propisima. Pozicija 1 prosta je greda, a pozicija 2 sastavljena je od grede pod nagibom (pozicija 2.1) i stupa (pozicija 2.2) koji su međusobno povezani poluzglobom te je greda u još jednoj točki povezana na nepomični oslonac. Nakon analize opterećenja koja djeluju na nosaču i određivanja proračunskih vrijednosti unutarnjih sila, izvršeno je dimenzioniranje elemenata (grede i stupa). Dimenzije poprečnog presjeka grede POZ 1 su b/h=16/26 cm, dok su dimenzije poprečnog presjeka grede POZ 2.1 b/h=16/64 cm, a stupa POZ 2.2 b/h=16/16. Element POZ 1 izvodi se od cjelovitog crnogoričnog drva razreda čvrstoće C27, dok se elementi POZ 2 izvode od lijepljenog lameliranog drva razreda čvrstoće GL26h. Nakon provedenog dokaza graničnog stanja nosivosti, iskorištenost poprečnog presjeka elementa POZ 1 je 80,27%, a za gredu POZ 2.1 78,31% te za stup POZ 2.2 je 26,14%. Na osnovu iskorištenosti pojedinih elemenata može se reći da su zadani elementi racionalni i ekonomski isplativi, čemu svjedoči i njihova mala vlastita težina.The task of the final thesis was to dimension the elements of a specified beam (determine the dimensions of cross-sectional profiles) according to current HRN EN standards and regulations. Position 1 involves a simple beam, while Position 2 consists of a configuration with an inclined beam (Position 2.1) and a column (Position 2.2) interconnected by a semi-rigid joint, with the beam supported at another point fixedly. Following the analysis of the loads acting on the beam and determining the design values of internal forces, the elements (beam and column) were dimensioned. The cross-sectional dimensions of the beam at Position 1 are b/h=16/26 cm, while at Position 2.1 they are b/h=16/64 cm for the inclined beam and b/h=16/16 cm for the column at Position 2.2. The element at Position 1 is made from solid softwood with a strength class of C27, while elements at Position 2 are made from glued laminated timber with a strength class of GL26h. After conducting the ultimate limit state verification, the utilization of the cross-sectional area for the element at Position 1 is 80.27%, for the beam at Position 2.1 is 78.31%, and for the column at Position 2.2 is 26.14%.     Analysis of Potential Interactions Between Dietary Supplements and Medications in Elderly Individuals in the Zenica-Doboj Canton Area

    Provedeno je presječno opažajno istraživanje na populaciji u dobi od 60 i više godina s ciljem utvrđivanja navika korištenja dodataka prehrani kao i razlozima za uzimanje istih. Prikupljeni su odgovori ukupno 179 ispitanika, 73,2 % žena i 26,8 % muškaraca, među kojima dodatke prehrane redovno koristi njih 51,4 %, povremeno njih 36,9 %, a ne koristi ih 11,7 %. Najčešće korišteni proizvodi su probiotici, omega masne kiseline i beta glukani, dok su dodaci za specifične tegobe manje zastupljeni. Najčešći razlog zbog kojeg ispitanici koriste dodatke prehrani je opće poboljšanje zdravlja. Većina ispitanika ima dijagnozu jedne bolesti (58,7 %), dvije dijagnoze ima 17,8 %, tri dijagnoze 5,6 % a četiri i više dijagnoza 3,4 % ispitanika. Ispitanici koriste lijekove koji se uobičajeno propisuju za bolesti od kojih boluju (hipertenzija, dislipidemije, dijabetes i sl.). S obzirom na primarnu dijagnozu broj interakcija varira pa je rizik od interakcija između lijekova i dodataka prehrani visok kod 10 % osoba s hipertenzijom, 12 % osoba s dijabetesom, 15 % onih s dislipidemijom, 15 % onih koji su na terapiji antidepresivima i 15 % onih koji koriste multikomponentne dodatke prehrani. Rezultati ukazuju na visok rizik od nuspojava kod istovremenog uzimanja lijekova i dodataka prehrani među osobama starije životne dobi što naglašava potrebu za daljnjom edukacijom kako zdravstvenog osoblja tako i opće populacije kako bi se dodaci prehrani koristili na optimalan i siguran način.A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on the population aged 60 and over with the aim of determining the habits and reasons for dietary supplement use. A total of 179 people participated in the study, 73.2% women and 26.8% men. Dietary supplements are regulary used by 51.4% of participants, occasionally by 36.9% and 11.7% of participants said they they never use them. The most commonly used dietary supplements are probiotics, omega fatty acids, and beta glucans, while products for specific conditions are less commonly used. The most common reason why participants use dietary supplements is general improvement of health. The majority of participants have one health condition (58.7%), 17.8% have two, 5.6% tree and 3.4% four or more health conditions. Participants use medications commonly prescribed for their health conditions (hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes etc.). Given their primary health condition, the number of potential interactions varies so high risk of interactions have 10% of those with hypertension, 12% of those with diabetes, 15% of those with dyslipidemia, 15% of those on antidepressant therapy and 15% of those using multicomponent supplements. The results highlight high risk of interactions between medications and dietary supplements in older people, emphasizing the need for further education of both health professionals and general population to ensure optimal and safe use of dietary supplements

    EFFECTS OF THE APPLICATION OF THE ELECTROMYOGRAPHIC BIOLOGICAL FEEDBACK DURING THE REHABILITATION ON FUNCTIONAL RECOVERY AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS AFTER TOTAL HIP ARTHROPLASTY

    CILJ ISTRAŽIVANJA: Glavni cilj bio je istražiti učinke elektromiografskog biofeedbacka (EMG-BF) na funkcionalni oporavak, kvalitetu života i postoperativnu bol nakon ugradnje totalne endoproteze kuka. Sekundarni ciljevi bili su ispitati učinke EMG-BF-a na ishode rehabilitacije prema spolu i s obzirom na vrijeme početka rehabilitacije te istražiti povezanost subjektivnih i objektivnih mjera ishoda. NACRT STUDIJE: Ovo je bila prospektivna, randomizirana, jednostruko slijepa intervencijska studija na dvije paralelne skupine ispitanika. ISPITANICI I METODE: U istraživanje je uključeno 90 ispitanika primljenih na rehabilitaciju nakon totalne endoproteze kuka. Randomizirani su u eksperimentalnu skupinu (ES) (N=45; srednja dob 63.9±8.8; 61% muškog spola) i kontrolnu skupinu (KS) (N=45; srednja dob 63.9±9; 60% muškog spola). Obje skupine uključene su u 21 dan rehabilitacije koja se sastojala od terapijskog vježbanja, interferentnih struja, elektrostimulacije i edukacije. Dio vježbi u ES bio je nadopunjen EMG-BF-om. Thirty-seconds Chair Stand Test (30s CST), Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) te korištenje pomagala za hod koristili su se za mjerenje objektivnih ishoda. Hip Disability and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (HOOS), EQ-5D-5L, Short Form Health Survey – 36 (SF-36) i Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) koristili su se za procjenu subjektivnih ishoda. REZULTATI: U obje skupine došlo je do poboljšanja u rezultatima 30s CST-a i TUG-a (p<0,001) te u korištenju pomagala za hod nakon rehabilitacije (p<0,05). Rezultati upitnika HOOS, EQ-5D-5L, SF-36 i NRS poboljšali su se u obje skupine (p<0,05). Međutim, nisu utvrđene značajne razlike između skupina. Razlike nisu utvrđene s obzirom na spol, osim u rezultatima SF-36 domene Tjelesna bol i profila tjelesnog zdravlja te u kategoriji sposobnosti samozbrinjavanja EQ-5D-5L upitnika u korist muškog spola. Nadalje, nisu utvrđene razlike s obzirom na vrijeme početka rehabilitacije, osim što su ispitanici s ranijim početkom rehabilitacije iz ES imali nižu razinu boli i viši rezultat u SF-36 domenama ograničenja u ostvarivanju životne uloge zbog emocionalnih problema i općeg zdravlja u odnosu na KS. Povezanost između subjektivnih i objektivnih mjera ishoda bila je slaba. ZAKLJUČAK: EMG-BF ne nudi komparativne prednosti nakon ugradnje totalne endoproteze kuka u usporedbi s kovencionalnom rehabilitacijom. Zbog slabe povezanosti subjektivnih i objektivnih mjera ishoda trebalo bi koristiti obje.OBJECTIVES: The aim of the study was to examine the effects of electromyographic feedback (EMG-BF) after total hip arthroplasty (THA) on functional recovery, quality of life and postoperative pain. The secondary aims were to investigate the effects of EMG-BF on outcomes regarding the participants' sex and rehabilitation timing, and to explore associations between subjective and objective outcome measures. STUDY DESIGN: This was a prospective, randomized, single-blinded interventional study on two parallel groups of participants. PARTICIPANTS AND METHODS: The study involved 90 participants admitted to rehabilitation after THA. They were randomized into experimental group (EG) (N=45; mean age 63.9±8.8; 61% males) and control group (CG) (N=45; mean age 63.9±9; 60% males). Both groups were included in 21-day rehabilitation program consisting of therapeutic exercises, interferential current therapy, electrostimulation, and education. A part of exercises was supplemented by EMG-BF in the EG. Objective rehabilitation outcomes were measured using the Thirty-second Chair Stand Test (30s CST), Timed Up and Go Test (TUG), and the use of mobility aid. Hip Disability and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (HOOS), EQ-5D-5L, Short Form Health Survey – 36 (SF-36), and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) were used to assess subjective outcomes. RESULTS: There was an improvement in both groups regarding the 30s CST and TUG results (p<0.001) and the use of mobility aid after rehabilitation (p<0.05). Results of HOOS, EQ-5D5L, SF-36, and NRS results improved in both groups (p<0.05). However, there were no significant differences between the groups. No differences in respect to EMG-BF regarding the sex were found, except in results of SF-36 domain of Bodily Pain and Physical Component Summary score and dimension of self-care of EQ-5D-5L questionnaire in favour of males (p<0.05). Furthermore, no differences were found in regard of rehabilation timing except for lower pain levels and higher score in the SF-36 domains of Role Emotional and General Health for those with earlier start of rehabilitation in favour of EG. Associations between subjective and objective outcome measures were weak. CONCLUSION: EMG-BF does not offer additional benefits compared to conventional rehabilitation protocol after THA. Due to week association between subjective and objective outcome measures both should be used

    Waste Rubber-Modified Cement-Bound Base Course: Laboratory Characterisation and Field Application

    Within the scientific research project ‘RubSuPave’, a large number of laboratory tests were carried out to investigate the addition of waste rubber (WR) to mixtures of a cement-bound base course (CBC) for pavement construction. For mixtures consisting of gravel aggregate, sand, cement (at 3%, 5%, and 7% by mass) and various sand replacements with WR (0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% volume) additions, the compaction characteristics, compressive strength, and resistance to freezing and thawing (F/T) were determined. The results show that compressive strength is negatively affected by the addition of WR, while F/T resistance is improved, with mixtures containing 10–20% WR and 5% cement being optimal. The next step was transferring the knowledge gained into field conditions via the large-scale production of such mixtures in concrete plants and the construction of test fields. The CBC reference and WR mixtures (2% mass) were produced in two different concrete plants; the samples were compacted, and compressive strength and F/T resistance were tested. The CBC mixtures made in the first plant were used for the construction of the test field. The results and problems of mixture production in two different concrete plants are presented, along with the experiences of the construction of a test field with such a rubberised base course. The in-plant production of mixtures with 2% WR also resulted in a reduction in compressive strength and improved resistance to freezing, but these significantly values varied between plants. The main reasons for this are that the addition of WR causes issues due to its dosing and during its incorporation into the second plant, difficulty in achieving a homogenous mixture, and the subsequent maintenance of the concrete plant, implying that the technology should be adapted for large-scale production in future. The test field, with both the reference mixture and the WR mixture from the first plant, will be monitored further to determine its behaviour in real conditions
