    AI generated context for teaching robotics to improve Computational Thinking in Early Childhood Education

    There is a growing need to develop methods to teach Computational Thinking (CT) to Early Childhood Education children, given the challenges at these ages. A key goal is to equip future teachers with effective approaches for better learning outcomes. This project introduces a methodology for teaching robotics, using AI-generated contexts to enhance CT. An experiment was conducted with 120 preservice teachers (aged 18-19) in a Computer Science and Digital Competence course. The experimental group used AI-generated practical assignments, while the control group did not. Results show significantly higher gains in CT and learning attitudes in the experimental group, proving the methodology's effectiveness.     The ability of amphiphilic Phthalocyanine (Pc) photosensitizers (PS) (Zn(II)Pcs PS1, PS2, and PS3) to assemble into cationic nanoparticles in water and to photo-inactivate bacterial strains is demonstrated. All the synthesized Zn(II)Pcs exhibit an AABB functionalization pattern, having a binaphthyloxy-linked bisisoindole (AA) functionalized at the chiral binaphthol core with branched (PS1) or linear (PS2 and PS3) poly-ammonium chains, and two non-functionalized isoindole rings (BB). The aggregation behavior and the stability of the nanoparticles formed by the three PS in water is studied by UV–vis, fluorescence and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopies, and their shape and size is determined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The PS nanoparticles prove efficient in the photoinactivation of S. aureus and E. coli. Although PS2 and PS3 present better photophysical features in their monomeric form (i.e., improved singlet oxygen quantum yield), PS1 is more effective in killing both types of strains, especially the gram-negative E. coli. This observation may derive from the low stability found for PS1 nanoparticles, which easily disassemble after binding to the bacteria surface, recovering the photophysical properties of the non-aggregated species.     Descripción del proyecto El contenido de este dataset es resultado de la investigación llevada a cabo en el proyecto "Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación para la e-Administración: hacia la mejora de la comunicación entre Administración y ciudadanía a través del lenguaje claro" (TIC-eADMIN), cuyo principal objetivo era desarrollar, en el contexto de la e-Administración, una herramienta TIC en línea de ayuda a la redacción de textos administrativos en español por parte de empleados públicos, para contribuir a que los textos que reciba la ciudadanía estén redactados en lenguaje claro. Esta herramienta ya se ha desarrollado y puede utilizarse gratuitamente en línea desde el siguiente enlace: www.sistema-artext.com. Asimismo, uno de los objetivos específicos del proyecto era sistematizar los rasgos lingüísticos prototípicos de algunos géneros textuales del ámbito de la Administración, para lo cual se anotó un corpus y se analizaron los resultados.Descripción del dataset Este dataset contiene 2 ficheros. El primero de ellos incluye un corpus de 100 textos reales (121.548 palabras) del ámbito de la Administración en formato .txt. Los textos se corresponden con 5 géneros textuales prototípicos de este ámbito: acta de inspección, contrato, requerimiento, resolución dirigida a un particular y resolución publicada en portales institucionales (20 textos por género). El segundo fichero contiene el mismo corpus de 100 textos anotado utilizando la herramienta ATLAS.ti, tanto en el formato propio de la herramienta (.atlproj23) como en XML. Para la anotación se tienen en cuenta los siguientes rasgos lingüísticos: apartados, títulos, contenidos y fraseología representativa para expresar esos contenidos. Los resultados de la anotación de este corpus y su posterior análisis se han integrado en el sistema arText para ayudar al personal público a estructurar y redactar estos géneros textuales dirigidos a la ciudadanía.Metodología La metodología empleada para la obtención de los datos incluye 5 etapas: Etapa 1. Selección de los 5 géneros textuales objeto del estudio. Los criterios de selección de los géneros son: frecuencia y dificultad de escritura de los géneros por parte del alumnado universitario de derecho y del personal público, y cantidad de texto libre presente en modelos o plantillas. Para obtener esta información se llevaron a cabo dos encuestas: una al alumnado de la UNED y otra al personal del Ayuntamiento de Madrid. Etapa 2. Compilación del corpus. El corpus está formado por 100 textos (20 por cada género textual) generados por el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, institución que se ha tomado como caso de estudio. Esta cantidad es estadísticamente representativa para el análisis de textos de ámbitos especializados, según se indica en investigaciones previas. Etapa 3. Transformación del corpus a texto plano y anonimización. Los textos del corpus se encuentran en distintos formatos, por lo que se transforman a texto plano. Asimismo, los textos de carácter privado (correspondientes a los géneros acta de inspección, requerimiento y resolución dirigida a un particular) se anonimizan. Etapa 4. Selección de los rasgos lingüísticos que se tienen en cuenta para el análisis del corpus. Los rasgos que se analizan son: a nivel textual, los apartados, los títulos y los contenidos, y a nivel léxico, la fraseología. Etapa 5. Anotación del corpus mediante la herramienta ATLAS.ti. La anotación se lleva a cabo manualmente. Los rasgos lingüísticos se anotan en ATLAS.ti mediante códigos de distintos colores: los apartados en rojo, los títulos en verde, los contenidos en azul y la fraseología en amarillo. </ul

Dataset description Multi-view Leap2 Hand Pose Dataset (ML2HP Dataset) is a new dataset for hand pose recognition, captured using a multi-view recording setup with two Leap Motion Controller 2 devices. This dataset encompasses a diverse range of hand poses, recorded from different angles to ensure comprehensive coverage. The dataset includes real images with the associated precise and automatic hand properties, such as landmark coordinates, velocities, orientations, and finger widths. This dataset has been meticulously designed and curated to maintain a balance in terms of subjects, hand poses, and the usage of right or left hand, ensuring fairness and parity. The content includes 714,000 instances of 17 different hand poses (including real images and 247 associated hand properties). These examples have been recorded from 21 subjects. The multi-view setup is necessary to mitigate hand occlusion phenomena, ensuring continuous tracking and pose estimation required in real human-computer interaction applications like virtual reality gaming. Overall, this dataset contributes to advancing the field of multimodal hand pose recognition by providing researchers with a valuable resource for developing advanced human computer interfaces based on machine learning algorithms. 2. Dataset content The ML2HP Dataset is meticulously organized into a hierarchical file structure to facilitate easy access and retrieval of specific instances for analysis. At the top level, there is a folder for each subject, identified by integer numbers (e.g., “001”, “002”). Within each subject folder, there are subfolders representing the hand used, designated as “Right_Hand” and “Left_hand”. Inside each hand folder, further subfolders are categorized by hand pose class, named according to the specific hand pose (e.g., “OpenPalm”, “ClosedFist”, etc). Each pose class folder contains two additional subfolders corresponding to the recording devices: “Horizontal” for the camera placed horizontally and “Vertical” for the camera placed vertically. In addition, at the top level, there is a “subjects_info.csv” file that includes the information of age and gender for each subject identifier. - The subjects_info.csv file contains information of age and gender for each subject identifier. - Each hand_properties.csv contains the 247 hand properties (such as landmark coordinates, velocities, orientations, and finger widths) from a specific subject, hand, pose and device. - Each .bmp contains an image from a specific subject, hand, pose and device. -------------------------- METHODOLOGY -------------------------- 1. Methodology and data acquisition protocol Before recording the data, each participant received detailed information about the data collection protocol and voluntarily provided informed consent, including their agreement to have the data published, by signing a consent form prior to their inclusion in the research study. During the data collection process, participants were instructed to perform various hand poses while facing either one of the cameras, the other camera, or positioned diagonally between both. Additionally, participants were prompted to move their hands through the entire view range of the cameras, ensuring comprehensive coverage of hand poses from different angles, perspectives, and distances. This approach enabled the capture of a diverse range of hand configuration instances. Participants were asked to perform each hand pose repeatedly until enough instances were recorded for each class and hand (right and left). The protocol involved initially recording instances of right-hand poses from all classes, repeating the process for left-hand poses. This systematic approach ensured comprehensive coverage of both right- and left-hand configurations across all classes, facilitating a balanced and representative dataset. A data curation process was performed after the data collection to synchronize and balance the available data.</p
