Oxidative steam reforming of acetic acid on Ni catalysts: Influence of the La promotion on mesostructured supports
In this work, the support effect and the La2O3 promotion of Ni-based catalysts on the oxidative steam reforming of acetic acid as bio-oil model compound has been studied. Ni/SBA-15 showed the worst catalytic performance with an acetic acid conversion dropping below 30% at 500 ºC ascribed to active phase oxidation. In contrast, Ni supported over mesoporous CeO2 (CeO2-m) reached better catalytic performance and lower coke formation due to the higher Ni dispersion and oxygen mobility of the support. On the other hand, La2O3 promotion to SBA-15 and CeO2-m led to even higher Ni dispersion and prevented sintering during the reforming reaction. This effect resulted in an improvement in the catalytic performance for both promoted samples. As a consequence of low Ni crystallite size and high oxygen mobility, Ni/La2O3-CeO2-m reached almost complete conversion (~ 96%), the highest hydrogen yield (~ 53%) maintained for 5 h with the lowest coke formation (62.3 mgcoke·gcat 1·h 1)
Prediction of cognitive impairment in PD by MoCA
The aim of this project is to analyze the capacity of the MoCA to detect cognitive impairment in PD, and also to identify anterior and posterior profiles defined by the dual síndrome hypothesis
This dataset include information 59 patients with idiopathic PD were studied with the MoCA and a neuropsychological battery of tests covering all cognitive domains. Tests were selected according to the recommendations of the MDS to assess cognitive impairment in PD patients (Litvan et at., 2012). More specifically, the following processes were assessed: attention/working memory, memory, visuospatial abilities, language and executive functions. Both the MoCA subtests and the neuropsychological tests were grouped according to the two profiles defined by the dual syndrome hypothesis. Hence, a profile was defined for Anterior/attention-executive función and another for Posterior/Memory-Visuospatial impairment.</p
Masculinity and Lying
This project explores the association between masculine physical traits and dishonesty in communication. Using a sender-receiver game, the study evaluates how markers like the second-to-fourth digit ratio (2D:4D), facial morphometric masculinity (fMM), and facial width-to-height ratio (fWHR) influence lying and deception. The findings shed light on the biological roots of strategic communication and its connection to honesty and dishonesty.
The dataset includes measurements of 2D:4D, fMM, and fWHR from 168 male participants who played a sender-receiver game. Behavioral data include lying and deception decisions, alongside demographic and physical information such as BMI & age.</p
Social Cognition in PD
The aim of this project is to assess the SC construct and to explore its relationship with cognitive state in PD patients.
This dataset include the perfomance of 19 PD patients with cognitive decline, 27 cognitively preserved PD patients and 29 healthy control in social perception (static and dynamic emotional facial recognition), theory of mind, empathy and social behavior tasks. We also assess processing speed, executive functions, memory, language and visuospatial ability. To assess social perception, we administered two emotional categorization tasks, one with 50 static (photograph) and another with 50 dynamic (videos) stimuli, showing facial expressions of happiness, sadness, fear, anger, and neutral face (10 of each emotion) on a computer screen and using the E-prime 2.0 program (Schneider, Eschmann, & Zuccolotto, 2002). To evaluate ToM, we administered the Spanish adaptation of the Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET; Baron-Cohen et al., 2001). To measure empathy, we used the Empathy Quotient (EQ; Baron-Cohen & Wheelwright, 2004), a self-report measure of empathy. Finally, to assess social behavior, we administered the Spanish version of Dysexecutive Questionnaire (DEX; Shaw, Oei, & Sawang, 2015).</p
Overstory and Understory Fuel Map of Central Portugal- FirEUrisk Pilot Site 3 (PS3)
Fuel mapping is essential for improving fire risk assessment and enhancing fire behavior modeling. Although approximately 2% of European wildfires are classified as crown fires—extreme events responsible for the most significant damage—there is currently a lack of comprehensive methods for mapping both surface and canopy fuels within an integrated classification system.
This dataset provides fuel type maps for the overstory and understory, generated by considering forest structure and phenology in Central Portugal, specifically at the FirEUrisk Pilot Site 3 (PS3). The dataset has a spatial resolution of 20 meters and includes three distinct fuel maps: Overstory fuel type map (19 classes), Understory fuel type map (7 classes), and Integrated overstory and understory fuel type map (55 classes).
This dataset contributes to the advancement of wildfire risk assessment by providing detailed and structured fuel classification, supporting better predictions of fire behavior and aiding in fire management strategies. More information about generation of these maps can be found in: Mohammadpour, P., D. Viegas, X., Pereira, A., and Chuvieco, E.,: Multitemporal Sentinel and GEDI data integration for overstory and understory fuel type classification, International Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, special issue: Remote Sensing of Wildfires, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jag.2025.104455, 2025.</p
Discourse markers: Annotation guidelines
This work is framed in the Spanish national project CLARA-FINT. The aim of this task within the project was to create an automatic discourse markers extractor for Spanish. In order to do so, the first step was to create these Annotation Guidelines to apply linguistic annotation on texts containing said markers. The next step involved the use of these annotations to fine-tune a model for the extraction of discourse markers task. This publication contains said annotation guidelines.
It is a document that contains the rules and concepts necessary for linguistic annotation of discourse markers (annotation guidelines).</p
Leishmania infantum JPCM5 sequencing reads generated from total RNA by Oxford Nanopore technology
This project was aimed to sequence total RNA from Leishmania infantum JPCM5 promastigotes using the Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) methodology.
This dataset consists of two Fastq files, generated by MinION Mk1C (ONT) MC-114562 device (Basecalling was performed with MinKNOW (ONT) software model version rma002_70bps_hac@v3, with firmware MinION FPGA 2.4.3, ver. 23.07.12. These files are labelled:
i) LinJ_RNA_ONT_sep2023.fastq, this file contains 575209 reads having an average q-score of 7 or higher.
ii)LinJ_RNA_ONT_sep2023_FAIL.fastq, this file contains 49861 reads that did not pass the filter.

We studied the influence of additive manufaturing process parameters such as laser power and scanning speed on the geometry, microstructure and hardness of 316L/SiC composites reinforced with 20-80 wt.% of reinforcement using Directed Laser Deposition
Experiments on the effect of microanatomy on CSF flow
This document contains results from in-vitro experiments on the effect of micranatomical feaures on the cerebrospinal fluid flow. The experiments consider a canonical representation of a spinal canal as a 2D straight canal, where the microanatomical features are modelled as cylindrical posts. It includes original NEF format images of the time evolution of the velocity field around the obstacles. Data are included for different values of the specified control parameters, as indicated below
