    PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR FIREFIGHTERS

    Odijevanje je od davnina čovjeku služilo kao stvaranje barijere između kože i tijela s vanjskim podražajima. Odjeća nas štiti od vanjskih podražaja (temperature, sunčeve zrake, mehanički učinci), ali za uvjete rada koji jesu u vatrogastvu postoji zasebna zaštitna odjeća koja vatrogasca štiti za vrijeme djelovanja. Zaštitna odjeća mora biti u skladu s normama, te proći sva laboratorijska testiranja kako bi se ona mogla primjenjivati u poslovima vatrogasnih intervencija. Razvitkom tehnologije dolazi i do unapređenja vatrogasne opreme komponiranjem inteligentnih segmenata direktno u komade vatrogasne odjeće i ostale opreme.III. Clothing protects us from external stimuli (temperature, sun rays, mechanical effects), but for the working conditions that exist in firefighting, there is a separate protective clothing that protects the firefighter during action. Protective clothing must comply with standards and pass all laboratory tests so that it can be used in firefighting operations.     Prosječan radnik drvne industrije susreće se s mnogo opasnosti, u ovom radu su prikazane vrste opasnosti te osobna zaštitna sredstva i oprema koju je radnik dužan koristiti i od čega je ta oprema napravljena. Radnik koristi osobnu zaštitnu opremu čija je glavna zadaća omogućiti radniku siguran rada, svaki radnik koristi opremu koja ga štiti odnosno za glavu koristi zaštitnu kacigu, za sluh zaštitne čepiće ili ušne štitnike, vid odnosno oči su zaštičene pomoću zaštitnih naočala, dišne organe štite različite maske i respiratori, za ruke zaštitne rukavice i naposljetku za noge zaštitne cipele ili čizme. Zaštitna odjeća također ima važnu ulogu jer ona radnika štiti tijekom cijelog radnom vremena odnosno radnik ju je dužan nositi dok radi. Suvremena tehnologija omogućila je radnicima korištenje inteligentne opreme kojom se radnici služe ako im je ona omogućena. Također u novije vrijeme važnu ulogu ima i sama inteligentna odjeća. Važno je shvatiti s čime se radnici susreću i na koje se načine primjenjuju osobna zaštitna sredstava i oprema. Cilj ovog rada je pobliže objasniti zaštitnu opremu i sredstva koju radnik koristi tijekom procesa rada i materijale od kojih je ta oprema izrađena.The average worker in the wood industry encounters many dangers, this paper shows the types of dangers and the personal protective equipment and equipment that the worker is required to use and what the equipment is made of. The worker uses personal protective equipment whose main task is to enable the worker to work safely, every worker uses equipment that protects him or her head, uses a protective helmet, earplugs or ear protectors, vision or eyes are protected by protective glasses, respiratory organs are protected by different masks and respirators, for the hands protective gloves and finally for the feet III protective shoes or boots. Protective clothing also plays an important role because it protects the worker during the entire working time, i.e. the worker is obliged to wear it while working. Modern technology has made it possible for workers to use intelligent equipment, which is used by workers if it is provided to them. Also, in recent times, intelligent clothing itself plays an important role. It is important to understand what workers are exposed to and how PPE and equipment are used. The aim of this paper is to explain in more detail the protective equipment and means that the worker uses during the work process and the materials from which this equipment is made

    Ovim radom nastoji se prikazati kakav je bio utjecaj globalne pandemije koronavirusa (COVID-19) na ponašanje i navike ljudi vezane za otpad te njegovo odlaganje, odvajanje i recikliranje, te utjecaj tih faktora na sustav gospodarenja otpadom u vremenu od početka do završetka pandemije. Prikazuju se također različitosti koje su postojale u pristupu medicinskom i kućnom otpadu, te njihovom zbrinjavanju. Analiziraju se materijali od kojih su načinjena zaštitna sredstva te vrijeme koje je potrebno da se isti raspadnu u prirodi bez ljudske intervencije.This paper seeks to show the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic (COVID- 19) on the behavior and habits of people related to waste and its disposal, separation and recycling, and the impact of these factors on the waste management system in the time from the beginning to the end of the pandemic. The differences that existed in access to medical and household waste and their disposal are also presented. The materials from which the protective means are made are analyzed, as well as the time it takes for them to disintegrate in nature without human intervention

    Temelj organizacije proizvodnje prvenstveno čini čovjek. Bez ljudskog faktora ne bi bilo moguće uspostaviti, oformiti, implementirati, i usavršiti proizvodni proces od početka do kraja. Upravo je ova karika najvažnija za održivi ekosustav i uspješan rad poduzeća koji se proteže desetljećima. Specijalizirani stručnjaci kao i obični radnici čine poduzeće aktivnim i uspješnim sudionikom tržišnog kapitalizma. Osnovna djelatnost poduzeća Kelteks d.o.o. je proizvodnja tehničkog tekstila od staklenih, karbonskih i bazaltnih vlakana. Područje primjene ovih proizvoda vrlo je široko – građevinarstvo, auto-industrija, avio-industrija, brodogradnja, infrastruktura, sportski rekviziti i dr. Koristi se sustav proizvodnje temeljen na ISO standardu te sustav kontrole kvalitete. U organizaciji proizvodnje na primjeru poduzeća Kelteks d.o.o. prikazana je i SWOT analiza. Primijenjena je organizacijska struktura te najviši standardi u korporativnom upravljanju i etičkom ponašanju. U ovom radu prikazan je proces proizvodnje po etapama, kontrola proizvodnje i kvalitete, zaštita okoliša i komunikacija s kupcima.The foundation of the organization of production is primarily made by man. Without the human factor, it would not be possible to establish, design, implement and perfect the production process from start to finish. It is this link that is most important for a sustainable ecosystem and the successful operation of a company that spans decades. Specialized experts as well as ordinary workers make the company an active and successful participant in market capitalism. The main activity of the company Kelteks d.o.o. is the production of technical textiles from glass, carbon and basalt fibers. The field of application of these products is very wide - construction, auto industry, aviation industry, shipbuilding, infrastructure, sports equipment, etc. The production system based on the ISO standard and the quality control system are used. a SWOT analysis is also presented. An organizational structure and the highest standards in corporate governance and ethical behavior have been applied. This paper presents the production process by stages, production and quality control, environmental protection and communication with customers

    Otpadna električna i elektronička oprema (OEEO) sadrži vrijedne materijale, ali i opasne spojeve koji otežavaju njihovu oporabu. Unutar OEEO plastike, od opasnih spojeva, najzastupljeniji su bromirani usporivači gorenja (BFR spojevi). Radi se o sintetičkim aditivima vrlo visoke učinkovitosti, koji su ujedno i jeftiniji od drugih usporivača gorenja široke primjene. BFR spojevi sastavni su dio plastičnih komponenti različitih kategorija EEO, koji se dodaju u svrhu zaštite ljudi od slučajnih požara. U predmetnom radu opisani su procesi oporabe OEEO plastike i redukcije bromiranih usporivača gorenja za dobivanje homogenih plastičnih frakcija. Provedena je usporedba trenutno važećih zakona i direktiva koje daju smjernice u njihovoj oporabi i dozvoljene koncentracije u krajnjim potrošačkim proizvodima. Dodatno, identificirane su najrelevantnije metode separacije i određivanja BFR spojeva, te glavni izazovi s kojima se oporabitelji susreću. Veće stope prikupljanja i oporabe OEEO, te kontrola ilegalnih izvoza i odlaganja u okoliš, ključni su elementi razvoja kružne ekonomije.Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) contains valuable materials as well as hazardous substances that make recovery challenging. Brominated flame retardants (BFR compounds) are the most prevalent hazardous substances found in WEEE plastics. These are synthetic additives with extremely high effectiveness that are also less expensive than other commonly used flame retardants. BFR compounds are used as an inherent part of plastic components in many EEO categories to help protect people from accidental fires The procedures of recovering WEEE plastics and reducing brominated flame retardants to obtain homogeneous plastic fractions are presented in this subject paper. A comparison of currently in force legislation and directives that offer parameters for their recovery and allowable concentrations in final consumer products was made. Furthermore, the most important methods of separation and identification of BFR compounds, as well as the primary obstacles confronting recoverees, are outlined. Higher rates of WEEE collection and recovery, as well as control of illegal exports and disposal into the environment, are critical components of the circular economy's development

    Ovaj rad je predviđen za pružanje pomoći i korisnih smjernica tijekom potencijalnih pandemija/epidemija u budućem vremenu, posebice kad su u pitanju zaštitna sredstva i oprema koja omogućava da se spasi što više ljudskih života, te da se zaštiti sve ljude i medicinsko osoblje na najvišoj mogućoj razini. Prvenstveno je ukazana važnost korištenja zaštitnih sredstava i opreme koja se navodi u ovom radu, a koristila se u nizu medicinskih ustanova, ali i van njih i pomogla u sprječavanju širenja koronavirusa. Naravno, uvijek su moguća nova poboljšanja i sofisticiranija oprema kako bi se prevencija i zaštita stanovništva od zaraznih bolesti podignula na višu razinu i vjerujem da će u narednom vremenu pred nama, a poučeni proživljenim iskustvom u pandemiji/epidemiji koronavirusa, znanost naći načina kako zaustaviti zarazu još kvalitetnim i učinkovitijim zaštitnim sredstvima.This work is intended to provide help and useful advice during potential pandemics/epidemics in the future, especially when it comes to protective equipment that allows to save as many human lives as possible, and to protect all people and medical personnel at the highest possible level. Primarily, the importance of using the protective equipment mentioned in this paper was pointed out, and it was used in a number of medical institutions, as well as outside them, and helped prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Of course, new improvements and more sophisticated equipment are always possible in order to raise the prevention and protection of the population from infectious diseases to a higher level, and I believe that in the coming time ahead, and taught by the lived experience of the coronavirus pandemic/epidemic, science will find a way to stop the infection even more high- quality and effective protective equipment

    APPLICATION OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS AS WINDING INSULATORS IN GENERATOR STATOR CORE

    Zbog sve većih potreba za električnom energijom i proizvodnje iste strojogradnja i proizvodnja električnih strojeva je u konstantnom porastu. Zadatak je inženjera dobiti što veću izlaznu električnu snagu uz što manju potrošnju materijala, vremena izrade te utroška energije. Generator kao takav ima isti princip rada već desetljećima međutim novijim tehnologijama izrade te materijalima koji se danas koriste inženjeri uspijevaju smanjiti gubitke, povećati stupanj korisnosti ovih strojeva te u konačnici ispuniti zahtjeve tržišta. Rad se sastoji iz dva dijela. U teorijskom dijelu opisani su kompozitni materijali i njihova primjena u tehnici. U eksperimentalnom dijelu opisana je izrada statorskog paketa te pripremne radnje za ugradnju statorskog namota. Opisani su konkretni kompozitni materijali koji se primjenjuju kao izolatori.Due to the ever-increasing needs for electricity and its production, mechanical engineering and the production of electrical machines are constantly on the rise. The engineer's task is to obtain the highest possible output power with the lowest consumption of materials, production time and energy consumption. The generator as such has the same working principle for decades, however, with newer production technologies and materials used today, engineers manage to reduce losses, increase the degree of usefulness of these machines and ultimately meet market requirements. The paper consists of two parts. Composite materials and their application in technology are described in the theoretical part. The experimental part describes the creation of the stator package and the preparatory work for the installation of the stator winding. Concrete composite materials used as insulators are described

    Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje proces pročišćavanja otpadnih voda na području Grada Vinkovaca. Tijekom razdoblja koje obuhvaća godine 2015. do 2021. provedena je analiza procesa pročišćenja otpadnih voda na području grada Vinkovaca. Središnji cilj ovog istraživanja je analizirati učinkovitost i napredak postupaka obrade otpadnih voda te njihov utjecaj na okoliš i kvalitetu života stanovnika Grada Vinkovaca. Istraživanje se temelji na kontinuiranom prikupljanju uzoraka otpadnih voda na ulazu i izlazu iz postrojenja za pročišćavanje tijekom analiziranog razdoblja. Uzorci su podvrgnuti detaljnim fizikalno-kemijskim i biološkim analizama kako bi se utvrdile promjene u koncentracijama različitih parametara, uključujući suspendirane čestice, kemijske spojeve, te biološku oksidaciju. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na postupno poboljšanje učinkovitosti postrojenja za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda tijekom analiziranog razdoblja. Smanjenje koncentracija zagađivača na izlazu iz postrojenja, bolja uklanjanja suspendiranih čestica i uspješnija biološka obrada predstavljaju pozitivne trendove. Kroz ovu analizu, dobiveni podaci pružaju važan uvid u napredak procesa pročišćavanja otpadnih voda na području Grada Vinkovaca. Ovi rezultati imaju značajne implikacije za očuvanje okoliša i kvalitetu voda na tom području, pridonoseći boljem životnom standardu građana i boljoj budućnosti za okoliš.This master's thesis investigates the wastewater treatment process in the City of Vinkovci. An analysis of the wastewater treatment process in the city of Vinkovci was conducted over the period from 2015 to 2021. The central aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness and progress of wastewater treatment procedures and their impact on the environment and the quality of life of the residents of the City of Vinkovci. The research is based on continuous collection of wastewater samples at the inlet and outlet of the treatment facility during the analyzed period. The samples underwent detailed physicochemical and biological analyses to determine changes in the concentrations of various parameters, including suspended particles, chemical compounds, and biological oxidation. The research findings indicate a gradual improvement in the efficiency of the wastewater treatment facility over the analyzed period. Reductions in pollutant concentrations at the facility's outlet, better removal of suspended particles, and more successful biological treatment represent positive trends. Through this analysis, the obtained data provide valuable insights into the progress of wastewater treatment processes in the City of Vinkovci. These results have significant implications for environmental preservation and water quality in the area, contributing to a higher standard of living for the residents and a better future for the environment.

    U poslovnom svijetu često se susrećemo s pojmom kontrolinga zbog čega nam svima kontroling djeluje vrlo poznato i sigurni smo da znamo što on predstavlja. Međutim, shvaćanja kontrolinga su vrlo različita ili često vrlo ograničavajuća te se pod pojmom kontrolinga nerijetko podrazumijeva samo neka vrsta kontrole. Bez obzira što je kontroling pojam o kojem se može zbilja vrlo naširoko i u raznim smjerovima pisati zbog njegove prožetosti kroz svaki dio poslovanja, cilj ovoga rada je barem malo detaljnije približiti njegovu ulogu i značaj u poslovanju. U radu su prikazane najvažnije činjenice vezane uz kontroling, od same njegove pojave u svijetu i povijesnog značenja pa do njegove suvremene uloge u poslovanju. Kako bi se shvatila širina prisutnosti kontrolinga i njegovo prožimanje kroz sve poslovne segmente, u radu su opisane koncepcije kontrolinga, razine odnosno vrste kontrolinga te povezanost s ostalim podsustavima menadžmenta, posebno važnost kontrolinga u financijskom menadžmentu. U praktičnom dijelu ovoga rada prikazan je značaj i uloga kontrolinga na konkretnom primjeru poduzeća. Bez obzira što predmetno poduzeće nema ustrojen samostalan odjel kontrolinga te se kontroling primjenjuje površinski u ključnim segmentima poslovanja, značaj i tako ograničene njegove primjene je od velike, čak i presudne važnosti, a cilj ovoga rada je prikazati upravo to.In the business world, we often come across the term controlling, which is why controlling seems very familiar to all of us, and we are sure that we know what it represents. However, understanding of controlling is very different or often very limiting, and the term controlling often means only some kind of control. Regardless of the fact that controlling is a term that can be written about a lot and in various directions due to its presence in every part of the business, the aim of this thesis is to bring its role and significance in business in at least a little more detail. The most important facts related to controlling are presented, from its appearance in the world and its historical significance to its contemporary role in business. In order to understand the presence of controlling in all business segments, the concepts of controlling, levels or types of controlling and the connection with other subsystems of management are described, especially the importance of controlling in financial management. In the practical part of this work, the importance and role of controlling is shown on the concrete example of a company. Regardless of the fact that the mentioned company does not have an independent controlling department and controlling is applied only in key business segments, the significance of its limited application is of great, even crucial importance, and the aim of this work is to show exactly that
