No full textKorištenjem statističkih podataka objavljenih na Eurostatu analizirane su ozljede na radu u Grčkoj i Republici Hrvatskoj. Cilj ovog rada je usporediti ozljede na radu dviju mediteranskih zemalja i to u kategorijama: broj ozljeda na radu koje uzrokuju odsutnost radnika četiri dana ili duže u razdoblju od 2012. do 2021. godine u Grčkoj i Hrvatskoj na 100 000 radnika, broj ozljeda na radu prema spolu (muškarci i žene), broj ozljeda na radu u dvije različite dobne skupine te broju ozljeda na radu koje su završile smrtnim ishodom.Using statistical data published on Eurostat, I analyzed injuries at work in Greece and the Republic of Croatia. The aim of this work is to compare injuries at work in two Mediterranean countries in the categories: number of injuries at work that cause absence of workers for four days or longer in the period from 2012 to 2021 in Greece and Croatia per 100,000 workers, number of injuries at work by gender (men and women), the number of work-related injuries in two different age groups, and the number of work-related injuries that ended in death

No full textOvaj rad istražuje ključne aspekte društveno odgovornog poslovanja u bankarskom sektoru Republike Hrvatske, usmjeravajući se na sveobuhvatnu sliku DOP-a u tom sektoru. DOP predstavlja neizostavan dio suvremenog poslovanja, naglašavajući odgovornost poduzeća prema društvu, okolišu i ekonomiji. Jasno je da bankarski sektor ima značajan utjecaj na društvo i gospodarstvo, čime stječe posebnu odgovornost u promicanju društvene odgovornosti. Kroz analizu integriteta, vrijednosti i misije banaka, rad donosi zaključak o njihovom doprinosu društvenom i ekološkom prosperitetu. Također, istražuje se kako banke provode inicijative i aktivnosti koje podržavaju DOP, uključujući ekološku održivost, financiranje društveno odgovornih projekata, etičko bankarstvo, obrazovanje klijenata i suradnju s društvenim partnerima. Prikazani su primjeri tri vodeće banke u Hrvatskoj: Zagrebačka banka d.d., Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. i Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. Kroz analizu njihovih praksi i transparentnosti u vezi s DOP-om, rad ističe razlike i sličnosti u njihovim pristupima. Ovaj rad nudi, dakle, dublje razumijevanje DOP-a u bankarskom sektoru Republike Hrvatske. Pokazuje kako banke promiču DOP kroz svoje vrijednosti i aktivnosti, te naglašava važnost transparentnosti u njihovim praksama.SUMMARY This paper investigates the key aspects of socially responsible business in the banking sector of the Republic of Croatia, focusing on the comprehensive picture of CSR in that sector. CSR is an indispensable part of modern business, emphasizing the responsibility of companies towards society, the environment and the economy. It is clear that the banking sector has a significant impact on society and the economy, thus acquiring a special responsibility in promoting social responsibility. Through an analysis of the integrity, value and mission of banks, the paper draws a conclusion about their contribution to social and environmental prosperity. It also examines how banks implement initiatives and activities that support CSR, including environmental sustainability, financing socially responsible projects, ethical banking, customer education and cooperation with social partners. Examples of three leading banks in Croatia are presented: Zagrebačka banka d.d., Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. and Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. Through the analysis of their practices and transparency in relation to CSR, the paper highlights the differences and similarities in their approaches. This paper therefore offers a deeper understanding of CSR in the banking sector of the Republic of Croatia. It shows how banks promote CSR through their values and activities, and emphasizes the importance of transparency in their practices
THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 CRISIS ON THE OPERATIONS OF INSURANCE COMPANIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
No full textOsiguranje je djelatnost preuzimanja rizika koje profesionalno rade društva za osiguranje. U Republici Hrvatskoj prema statistici Hrvatske agencije za nadzor financijskih usluga posluje približno 17 društava za osiguranje u razdoblju od 2017. do 2022. godine. Ukupno prikupljena premija rasla je u promatranom razdoblju za 480.404 tisuće eura tj. 39,95%, s time da je premija životnog osiguranja iznosila 2.326.802 tisuća eura, a neživotnog osiguranja 6.199.556 tisuća eura. U završnom radu je analiziran utjecaj COVID-19 krize na poslovanje društava za osiguranje u razdoblju od 2017. do 2022. godine, kroz prikaz broja i iznosa prikupljene premije te broja i iznosa likvidiranih šteta u istom razdoblju. Analiza pokazuje da je COVID-19 kriza značajno utjecala na društva za osiguranje, s promjenama u preferencijama osiguranika i povećanjem broja i iznosa šteta. Premije neživotnog osiguranja su pokazale veći rast u usporedbi s premijama životnog osiguranja, što odražava veću potrebu za pokrićem rizika povezanih s krizom COVID-19.Insurance is the activity of taking on risks, which is professionally undertaken by insurance companies. In the Republic of Croatia, according to the statistics of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency, approximately 17 insurance companies were operating during the period from 2017 to 2022. The total collected premium increased by 480,404 thousand euros, or 39.95%, during the observed period, with life insurance premiums amounting to 2,326,802 thousand euros and non-life insurance premiums amounting to 6,199,556 thousand euros. This thesis analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the operations of insurance companies during the period from 2017 to 2022, through an overview of the number and amount of collected premiums and the number and amount of settled claims in the same period. The analysis shows that the COVID-19 crisis significantly affected insurance companies, with changes in the preferences of policyholders and an increase in the number and amount of claims. Non-life insurance premiums showed a greater increase compared to life insurance premiums, reflecting a higher need for coverage of risks associated with the COVID-19 crisis

No full textOvaj diplomski rad istražuje specifičnosti sigurnosti u kamionskom prijevozu drvnih sortimenata, naglašavajući važnost pravilnog osposobljavanja vozača i korištenja mjera sigurnosti. Analizira se radno mjesto vozača dizaličara, uključujući opasnosti poput pada tereta i prevrtanja vozila te mjere zaštite koje uključuju korištenje zaštitne opreme i pridržavanje sigurnosnih procedura. Također se razmatraju sigurnosni protokoli za kamionske skupove i njihova uloga u smanjenju rizika. Primjena naprednih tehnologija i kontinuirana edukacija vozača ključni su za održavanje visokih standarda sigurnosti. Rad zaključuje da je integracija sigurnosnih mjera ključna za zaštitu radnika i održivost šumarskog sektora.This thesis investigates the specifics of safety in the truck transport of timber assortments, emphasizing the importance of proper driver training and the use of safety measures. It analyzes the job of crane operators, including hazards such as load falls and vehicle overturns, and the protective measures that include the use of protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures. It also examines safety protocols for truck convoys and their role in risk reduction. The application of advanced technologies and continuous driver education are identified as crucial for maintaining high safety standards. The thesis concludes that the integration of safety measures is essential for worker protection and the sustainability of the forestry sector

U drugom dijelu u kratkim crtama biti će opisana povijest nastanka i razvoja civilne zaštite od njezinih početaka do danas kako na globalnoj razini tako i u Republici Hrvatskoj. Centralni, a ujedno i najveći dio svog rada biti će posvećen organizaciji sustava civilne zaštite Grada Siska. Temeljem proučavanja stručne literature Grada biti će prikazane najznačajnije aktivnosti u kojima su do sada sudjelovale operativne snage civilne zaštite Grada Siska, te predstavljeni rezultati do kojih sam došao provođenjem istraživanja među građanima Grada Siska o poznavanju uloge i sustava civilne zaštite, te njihove prijedloge iz područja istog. Na kraju ovog rada predstavit ću osobne spoznaje i zaključke do kojih sam došao proučavajući organizaciju i sustav civilne zaštite Grada Siska.The introductory part explains what civil protection is and the principles on which it operates. In the second part, the history of the origin and development of civil protection from its beginnings to the present is briefly described, both at the global level and in the Republic of Croatia. The central, and at the same time the largest part of the work is dedicated to the organization of the civil protection system of the City of Sisak. Based on the analysis of the professional literature of the City, I will try to present the most significant activities in which the operational forces of the civil protection of the City of Sisak have participated so far, and present the results that I have reached by conducting research among the citizens of the City of Sisak on knowledge of the role and system of civil protection, and their proposals on the same. At the end of this paper, I will present my personal comprehension and conclusions that I came to by studying the organization and system of civil protection of the City of Sisak

No full textCilj ovog rada je sprječavanje mogućnosti nastanka požara u skladištima. Svrha zaštite od požara je zaštita ljudi, okoliša i imovine. Zaštita obuhvaća sprječavanje izbijanja požara, širenje požara te osiguravanje sigurnog evakuacijskog puta za zaposlenike skladišta i sve osobe koje se nalaze na lokaciji u slučaju požara. Mjere zaštite od požara uključuju različite aktivnosti koje se provode kako bi se spriječio nastanak požara. Zaštita od požara uključuje i mjere detekcije, tj. sustave koji se koriste za rano otkrivanje požara u ranoj fazi. Važan dio zaštite od požara su i sustavi za gašenje požara poput sprinkler sustava, hidranta i vatrogasnih aparata. Zaštita od požara uključuje i mjere evakuacije i spašavanje ljudi.The aim of this paper is to prevent the possibility of fires in warehouses. The purpose of fire protection is to protect people, the environment and property. Protection includes fire prevention, fire spread and ensuring a safe evacuation route for warehouse employees and all persons on site in the event of a fire. Fire safety measures include various activities that are carried out to prevent the occurrence of fire. Fire protection also includes detection measures, or systems used for early detection of fires at an early stage. Fire extinguishing systems such as sprinkler systems, hydrants and fire extinguishers are an important part of fire protection. Fire protection includes evacuation measures and rescuing people
FOREST PEDAGOGY IN THE ROLE OF NATURE PROTECTION
No full textŠumska pedagogija je specifičan koncept učenja „iz šume u šumi“ koji spaja učenje za ekološki odgoj, kretanje i obrazovanje, socijalno učenje i opće obrazovanje. Radi se o relativno mladoj pedagoškoj disciplini koja tek pronalazi svoje mjesto u europskim pa tako i hrvatskim obrazovnim programima. Za sada se na području šumske pedagogije najviše razvijaju aktivnosti za najmlađe, s posebnim naglaskom na šumske vrtiće i škole. U Europi se šumska pedagogija razvija već više od četrdeset godina, a najviše aktivnih programa trenutno imaju Slovenija, Litva, Latvija, Njemačka, Češka i Bugarska. U Hrvatskoj se šumska pedagogija tek počela implementirati obrazovne sustave.Forest pedagogy is a specific concept of learning "from the forest in the forest" that combines learning for environmental education, movement and education, social learning and general education. It is a relatively young pedagogical discipline that is just finding its place in European and Croatian educational programs. For now, activities for the youngest are mostly being developed in the field of forest pedagogy, with special emphasis on forest kindergartens and schools. In Europe, forest pedagogy has been developing for more than forthy years, and Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria currently have the most active programs. In Croatia, forest pedagogy has just begun to be implemented in educational systems
SAFETY AND HAZARDS WHILE RECORDING VEGETATION USING DRONES
No full textU ovom radu dan je pregled opasnosti i zaštite bespilotnih letjelica pri snimanju vegetacije. Objašnjene su različite mogućnosti upotrebe bespilotnih letjelica, njihova kategorizacija, zakonska regulativa, opasnosti i zaštita od istih. Korištenje bespilotnih letjelica pri snimanju vegetacije donosi mnoge prednosti radi njihove tehnologije i dostupnosti. Kako je prikazano u ovom radu, najbitnija je obuka i svjesnost operatora pri korištenju bespilotnih letjelica, osvijestiti da s prednostima dolaze i nedostatci. Unatoč tome, istraživanja istih otvara veliki broj mogućnosti i potiče nove ideje za korištenje.This paper provides an overview of the hazards and protections associated with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in vegetation monitoring. It explains the various applications of UAVs, their categorization, legal regulations, hazards and safeguards. The use of UAVs for vegetation monitoring offers numerous advantages due to their technology and accessibility. As demonstrated in this paper, the most crucial aspect is in the traning and awareness of operators when untilizing UAVs, recognizing that along with benefits come drawbacks. Nevertheless, research in this filed opens up a wide range of possibilities and encourages new ideas for their application
FIRE INVESTIGATION WITH IMPLEMENTATION IN THE CROATIAN FIREFIGHTING
No full textDiplomski rad se bavi istraživanjem požara, analizirajući trenutne prakse u Republici Hrvatskoj te ih uspoređujući s metodama u Velikoj Britaniji, Njemačkoj i SAD-u. Cilj rada je prikaz trenutne metodologije u Hrvatskoj te predlaganje poboljšanja, uključujući mogućnost integracije istraživanja požara u vatrogastvo radi bolje koordinacije i brže reakcije. Požarište, kao mjesto događaja, ključan je izvor informacija i dokaza, a istraživanje treba započeti što prije kako bi se identificirali centar požara i potencijalni uzroci. Može se reći da vatrogasci postavljaju temelje za očevid. Usporedbom s načinom provođenja istraživanja požara u pojedinim razvijenim zemljama može se zaključiti da prebacivanje istraživanja požara u nadležnost vatrogasnih postrojbi ima brojne prednosti.Master thesis deals with fire research, analyzing current practices in the Republic of Croatia and comparing them with methods in Great Britain, Germany and the USA. The aim of the paper is to present the current methodology in Croatia and to propose improvements, including the possibility of integrating fire investigating in the firefighting for better coordination and faster response. The fire scene is crucial for gathering information and evidence, emphasizing the need to start investigations promptly to identify the fire's origin and potential causes.. Firefighters play a crucial role in successful fire investigations because they lay the foundation for the scene examination. Comparing fire investigation practices in certain developed countries, it can be concluded that transferring fire investigations to the jurisdiction of firefighting units offers numerous advantage
