OCCUPATIONAL DISEASES CAUSED BY CHEMICAL HAZARDS IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY
No full textKemijska industrija, kao jedna od najvažnijih i najopasnijih grana industrije, obilježena je značajnim rizicima za zdravlje radnika. Ovaj rad analizira profesionalne bolesti uzrokovane izloženosti kemijskim štetnostima, s naglaskom na specifičnosti kemijske industrije. U teorijskom dijelu prikazane su vrste profesionalnih bolesti prema uzrocima, dok se u glavnom dijelu rada fokus stavlja na najčešće bolesti izazvane kemikalijama – poput respiratornih bolesti, karcinoma i neuroloških poremećaja. Kroz analizu statističkih podataka na razini Europske unije, identificirani su trendovi, razlike među državama i uloga europskih institucija u prevenciji i praćenju ovih bolesti. Posebna pažnja posvećena je preventivnim mjerama – tehničkim, organizacijskim i edukacijskim – koje se provode u svrhu zaštite zdravlja radnika. Rad naglašava važnost stalnog monitoringa, edukacije te primjene standarda poput ISO 45001 kako bi se dugoročno smanjio broj profesionalnih bolesti i poboljšali uvjeti rada u kemijskoj industriji.The chemical industry, as one of the most important yet hazardous industrial sectors, is characterized by significant health risks for workers. This paper analyzes occupational diseases caused by exposure to chemical hazards, with a focus on the specificities of the chemical industry. The theoretical part outlines types of occupational diseases based on their causes, while the main section focuses on the most common illnesses induced by chemicals—such as respiratory diseases, cancers, and neurological disorders. Through an analysis of statistical data at the European Union level, trends, inter-country differences, and the role of European institutions in monitoring and preventing these diseases are identified. Special attention is given to preventive measures—technical, organizational, and educational—that are implemented to protect workers’ health. The paper highlights the importance of continuous monitoring, training, and the application of standards such as ISO 45001 in order to reduce the number of occupational diseases and improve working conditions in the chemical industry over the long term
ASSESSMENT OF WORK ABILITY IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
No full textOvaj rad bavi se ocjenom radne sposobnosti zaposlenika u tekstilnoj industriji kroz prikaz proizvodnih procesa, analizu radnih uvjeta te provedbu anketnog istraživanja u tekstilnoj tvrtki Keteks i tvrtki Pletix. U radu su detaljno opisane sve faze proizvodnog procesa, kao i rizici povezani s radnim mjestima. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na zaštitu na radu, ergonomiju i psihofizičko opterećenje i organizaciju rada. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na potrebu za poboljšanjem ergonomskih uvjeta i veću primjenu preventivnih mjera zaštite zdravlja i sigurnosti zaposlenika. Na temelju dobivenih podataka predložene su konkretne mjere za unapređenje radnog okruženja u tekstilnoj industriji.This paper examines the work ability of employees in the textile industry through an overview of production processes, analysis of working conditions, and a survey conducted in two textile companies Keteks and Pletix. All stages of production, along with workplace-related risks, are described in detail. Special emphasis is placed on occupational safety, ergonomics, psychophysical workload, and work organization. The survey results indicate a need for improved ergonomic conditions and broader application of preventive health and safety measures. Based on the collected data, specific recommendations are proposed to improve the working environment in the textile industry

No full textZavršni rad bavi se analizom i prikazom značaja navalnih vatrogasnih vozila kao temeljnih sredstava za operativno djelovanje vatrogasnih postrojbi u Republici Hrvatskoj. Opisane su vrste vatrogasnih vozila prema njihovoj namjeni i tehničkim karakteristikama, s naglaskom na podjelu navalnih vozila prema hrvatskoj normi HRN EN 1864-1:2001. Posebna pažnja posvećena je primjeru većeg navalnog vatrogasnog vozila NV2 koje koristi Dobrovoljno vatrogasno društvo Donja Voća. APPLICATION OF INDUSTRIAL RADIOGRAPHY IN QUALITY CONTROL OF WELDED JOINTS – OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND PREVENTION MEASURES
No full textOvaj diplomski rad bavi se primjenom industrijske radiografije u kontroli kvalitete zavarenih spojeva, s posebnim naglaskom na aspekte zaštite na radu i mjere prevencije. Radiografija kao metoda neuništavajućeg ispitivanja (NDT) omogućuje otkrivanje unutarnjih nesavršenosti u materijalima bez njihovog oštećenja, što je od ključne važnosti za sigurnost i pouzdanost industrijskih konstrukcija. Rad detaljno obrađuje vrste nesavršenosti u zavarima, tehničke aspekte rendgenskog i gama zračenja, tehnologije snimanja (film, digitalni detektori, kompjutorska tomografija), kao i izbor prikladne energije zračenja. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na procjenu rizika povezanih s izlaganjem ionizirajućem zračenju te na preventivne mjere koje osiguravaju sigurnost radnika i okoliša. Kroz teorijsku obradu i analizu standarda, rad pruža sveobuhvatan pregled suvremenih pristupa industrijskoj radiografiji i potvrđuje njezinu važnost u osiguravanju kvalitete i sigurnosti u industrijskim procesima.This graduate thesis explores the application of industrial radiography in the quality control of welded joints, with a particular focus on occupational safety and preventive measures. Radiography, as a non-destructive testing (NDT) method, enables the detection of internal imperfections in materials without damaging them, which is crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of industrial structures. The paper thoroughly examines types of weld discontinuities, the technical aspects of X-ray and gamma radiation, imaging technologies (film, digital detectors, computed tomography), and the selection of appropriate radiation energy. Special emphasis is placed on risk assessment related to exposure to ionizing radiation and the preventive measures required to protect workers and the environment. Through theoretical analysis and a review of industry standards, the thesis provides a comprehensive overview of current approaches to industrial radiography and affirms its significance in maintaining high standards of quality and safety in industrial processe
QUALIFICATION OF FORESTRY WORKERS-FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC EXPERIENCES
No full textUvodno u ovom radu uspoređuje se tema usporedbe edukacije u šumarstvu za poslove sjekača. Usporedba je rađena između europskih država i Hrvatske te se uspoređuje stupanj implementacije europskog certifikata za motornu pilu. Iz dostupne literature vidljivo je da različiti stupanj osposobljenosti radnika sjekača tj. Različito ocjenjivanje kategorije koje su teško usporedive. U središnjem djelu rada – raspravi opisani su primjeri Njemačke, Finske, Slovenije i Austrije. Također napravljena je usporedba na European Chainsaw Certificate (ECC) skup normi koji bi bilo dobro da Hrvatska usvoji u svoj sustav obrazovanja kako redovni tako i neformalni (cjeloživotni).Zaključno je vidljivo iz stučnih i znanstvenih članaka da struka intezivno istražuje najpovoljnija rješenja.In the introduction, this paper compares the topic of comparing education in forestry for loggers. The comparison was made between European countries and Croatia and the level of implementation of the European chainsaw certificate is compared. From the available literature, it is evident that different levels of training of logger workers, i.e. different assessment categories that are difficult to compare. In the central part of the paper - the discussion, examples from Germany, Finland, Slovenia and Austria are described. A comparison was also made with the European Chainsaw Certificate (ECC), a set of standards that it would be good for Croatia to adopt in its education system, both regular and non-formal (lifelong). In conclusion, it is evident from professional and scientific articles that the profession is intensively researching the most favorable solutions
LIFE INSURANCE AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF LIFE INSURANCE OFFERS
No full textPredmet ovog diplomskog rada je životno osiguranje s naglaskom na temeljne pojmove i važne elemente osiguranja. Rad analizira ponudu životnog osiguranja na primjeru dvaju osiguravajućih društava, provodeći usporedbu njihovih programa životnog osiguranja. Cilj diplomskog rada je komparativnom analizom različitih vrsta životnog osiguranja, odnosno životnog osiguranja povezanim s investicijskim fondovima i klasičnog životnog osiguranja, istražiti ključne karakteristike tih polica, uključujući uvjete, pokrića, premije, fleksibilnost i dugoročne koristi. Rad se fokusira na prepoznavanje faktora koji bi mogli biti ključni prilikom odabira određene police ili koji program bi bio prikladniji za specifične korisničke skupine, uzimajući u obzir financijske ciljeve i rizike s kojima se suočavaju osiguranici. Kroz ovaj diplomski rad analizirani su informativni izračuni i uvjeti životnog osiguranja povezanog s investicijskim fondovima GRAWE INVEST i program investicijskog osiguranja života Generali STRATEGO te kombinacija životnog osiguranja i financijske zaštite u slučaju teške bolesti GRAWE ELITE 20 PLUS i sveobuhvatno osiguranje života za slučaj smrti ili u slučaju nepredviđenih događaja Generali Životni kasko. Usporedbom uvjeta dvaju osiguravajućih društava utvrđeni su specifični uvjeti osiguranja svakog osiguravatelja, a rezultati usporedbe pokazuju kako su uvjeti oba osiguravajuća društva vrlo slični te da odabir programa ovisi o individualnim potrebama i željama osiguranika.The subject of this thesis is life insurance, with an emphasis on fundamental concepts and key elements of insurance. The thesis analyzes the offer of life insurance using the examples of two insurance companies, comparing their life insurance programs. The goal of the thesis is to conduct a comparative analysis of different types of life insurance, specifically life insurance linked to investment funds and traditional life insurance, in order to explore the key characteristics of these policies, including conditions, coverage, premiums, flexibility, and long-term benefits. The thesis focuses on identifying factors that may be crucial when selecting a specific policy or determining which program would be more suitable for specific customer groups, taking into account the financial goals and risks faced by policyholders. This thesis analyzes the informational calculations and conditions of life insurance linked to investment funds, such as GRAWE INVEST, and the life insurance investment program Generali STRATEGO, as well as the combination of life insurance and financial protection in the event of a serious illness, GRAWE ELITE 20 PLUS, and comprehensive life insurance for death or unforeseen events, Generali Životni Kasko. By comparing the conditions of the two insurance companies, specific terms of insurance for each insurer have been identified. The results of the comparison show that the conditions of both insurance companies are very similar, and that the choice of program depends on the individual needs and preferences of the policyholder

Opisat će se tijek ispitivanja sustava, periodika ispitivanja, parametri koji se gledaju kao i eventualni prijedlozi poboljšanja.This paper will describe a stable crude oil tank cooling and fire extinguishing system, the main parts of the system, a description of the main parts, the calculation of the required water nozzles per tank, the number of foam chambers on each tank, as well as system testing. The course of the system test, the periodicity of the test, the parameters that are looked at, as well as possible suggestions for improvement, will be described
HIKER SAFETY AND PROTECTION ON MOUNT IVANŠČICA
No full textOvaj završni rad bavi se analizom sigurnosti planinara na gori Ivančici, najvišoj planini Hrvatskog zagorja. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi glavne sigurnosne izazove s kojima se planinari suočavaju te predložiti konkretne mjere za njihovo ublažavanje. Rad uključuje teorijski pregled sigurnosti u planinarenju, opis specifičnosti Ivančice kao planinarske destinacije, terensku analizu te anketno istraživanje provedeno među aktivnim planinarima. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na opću zadovoljstvo postojećom infrastrukturom, ali i potrebu za dodatnim edukativnim i tehničkim mjerama. Zaključuje se kako je za održavanje i unaprjeđenje sigurnosti nužna kontinuirana suradnja između planinarskih društava, HGSS-a, lokalne zajednice i samih posjetitelja planine.This thesis analyzes the safety of hikers on Mount Ivanščica, the highest mountain in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region. The aim of the research was to identify the main safety challenges faced by hikers and to propose specific measures to mitigate them. The paper includes a theoretical overview of safety in hiking, a description of Ivanščica’s characteristics as a hiking destination, field analysis, and a survey conducted among active hikers. The research findings indicate general satisfaction with the existing infrastructure, but also highlight the need for additional educational and technical measures. The conclusion emphasizes that maintaining and improving safety requires continuous cooperation between mountaineering clubs, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS), the local community, and the mountain’s visitors

No full textRadiokomunikacijski sustavi od ključne su važnosti za učinkovito funkcioniranje civilne zaštite. Ovaj rad istražuje ulogu, strukturu i primjenu takvih sustava u kriznim situacijama, poput prirodnih katastrofa, tehničko-tehnoloških nesreća i drugih hitnih situacija. Fokus je na analizi tehnologija koje omogućuju brz i pouzdan prijenos informacija među različitim službama, uključujući vatrogasce, hitnu pomoć, policiju i druge hitne službe. Osim tehničkih aspekata, rad se bavi i izazovima u implementaciji, poput interoperabilnosti između različitih sustava, sigurnosti komunikacije te prilagodbe specifičnim uvjetima u kojima se sustavi koriste. Cilj rada je pokazati kako radio komunikacijski sustavi predstavljaju osnovni alat za koordinaciju i brzo donošenje odluka u kriznim situacijama, uz isticanje mogućnosti za daljnje unaprjeđenje ovih sustava u budućnosti.Radiocommunication systems are crucial for the efficient functioning of civil protection. This paper explores the role, structure, and application of such systems in crisis situations, such as natural disasters, technical-technological accidents, and other emergencies. The focus is on analyzing technologies that enable fast and reliable information transfer among various services, including firefighters, emergency medical teams, police, and other emergency services. In addition to technical aspects, the paper addresses implementation challenges, such as interoperability between different systems, communication security, and adaptation to specific conditions in which the systems are used. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate how radiocommunication systems represent a fundamental tool for coordination and rapid decision-making in crisis situations, while highlighting possibilities for further improvements of these systems in the future
THE PROCESS AND CAUSE OF THE FORMATION OF INSTRUMENT PANEL MALFUNCTION IN A VEHICLE
No full textU ovom završnom radu obrađen je proces utvrđivanja razloga prestanka funkcioniranja pokazivača broja okretaja motora na instrument ploči. Rad obuhvaća slike postupka demontaže dijelova motocikla kako bi se došlo do potrebnih dijelova i utvrdio uzrok kvara. Uz navedeno proći će se princip i sheme instalacija te računala motora koji potrebne podatke šalje u instrument ploču. Uz to spomenut će se i dijelovi poput računala motora, koračni motor, alat za servis itd. S obzirom da je motocikl sklop strojarstva i elektronike ovaj završni rad je spoj ugodnog s korisnim. Svakako je cilj otkloniti uzrok prestanka rada instrument sata pokazivača okretaja. Završni rad spaja mehatroničko obrazovanje sa stvranim potrebama servisa na tržištu rada.In this final paper processes of determining the reasons for the failure of the engine RPM gauge on the instrument panel has been addressed. The paper includes picture of the process disassembling motorcycle parts in order to access the necessary components and determine the cause of the malfunction. The principle and schematics of the installations will be covered, as well as the engine computer that sends the necessary data to the instrument panel. It will also mention parts such as the computer engine, stepper motor, service tool, etc. Considering that the motorcycle is an assembly of mechanical engineering and electronics, this thesis combines pleasant with useful. The goal is certainly to eliminate the cause of the failure of the tachometer instrument. The final project combines mechatronics education with the actual needs of services in the labor market
