UTJECAJ DIGITALNIH SADRŽAJA NA PONAŠANJE DJETETA
Mediji predstavljaju sastavni dio života odraslih osoba, a u sve većoj mjeri njima se koriste i
djeca.
zaštititi i usmjeravati dijete u virtualnom svijetu. Primjena digitalnih sadržaja pruža različite
mogućnosti poput zabave, razvijanja kompetencija, učenja, pronalaska informacija do stvaranja
ovisnosti i izlaganja opasnostima virtualnog svijeta. Utjecaj digitalnih tehnologija ovisit će o
sadržajima koje dijete konzumira i vremenu koje provodi koristeći digitalne sadržaje. U
empirijskom dijelu prikazano je istraživanje, provedeno putem upitnika među roditeljima djece
rane i predškolske dobi.
The media are an integral part of the lives of adults, and they are increasingly used by children
as well. It is almost impossible to imagine a child of early and preschool age who is not exposed
to some kind of digital devices on a daily basis. The change in the environment in which
children grow up is related to digital content and represents a significant challenge for parents
and experts who have the task of protecting and guiding children in the virtual world. The use
of digital content provides various opportunities such as entertainment, developing
competences, learning, finding information, up to the creation of addictions and exposure to the
dangers of the virtual world. The impact of digital technologies will depend on the content the
child consumes and the time spent using digital content. In the empirical part, research is
presented, conducted through a questionnaire among parents of children of early and preschool
age. The results show that a child spends an average of 1.2 hours a day using digital devices.
Parents (90.2%) believe that digital content affects their child's behavior, but 45.3% of them
declare that they do not use protection on the devices on which the child views digital content.
Parents are obliged to take care of children's digital literacy, educate themselves about the
effects of digital technologies on children and protect them from potentially harmful content.
We cannot isolate children from digital content, and the positive effects of the media can be
used for the purpose of their complete development
POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SPLIT
Istraživanje je provedeno u sklopu većeg znanstvenog projekta Testiranje 5C modela pozitivnog razvoja mladih: tradicionalno i digitalno mobilno mjerenje (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.).The topic of this thesis is focused on the positive development of high school students in Split. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concept of adolescence, which is described as the developmental period between childhood and adulthood. Furthermore, the thesis elaborates on the concept of positive youth development, with a special emphasis on the 5C model of positive development, which includes five key characteristics: (1) competence, (2) confidence, (3) connection, (4) character and (5) caring.
To write this thesis, research was conducted on a sample of N = 248 high school students from Split, with the aim of examining the 5C characteristics of positive youth development. Specifically, the prevalence of 5C characteristics among high school students in Split was examined, as well as differences in 5C characteristics between male and female students, and the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and 5C characteristics. The research was conducted as part of the e larger scientific project Testing the 5C framework of positive youth development: traditional and digital mobile assessment (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.)
TJELESNO VJEŽBANJE I RAZVOJ DJECE RANE I PREDŠKOLSKE DOBI
Međutim, sve veća prisutnost sjedilačkih aktivnosti, smanjeno vrijeme provedeno na otvorenom i ograničen pristup strukturiranim programima vježbanja ugrožavaju usvajanje zdravih navika.
Physical activity plays a key role in the health and development of preschool children. The preschool period is marked by intense motor, cognitive and socio-emotional development, and regular physical activity has a positive impact on all aspects of a child's growth. Children of this age naturally express a need for movement and are happy to engage in various physical activities. However, the increasing presence of sedentary activities, reduced time spent outdoors and limited access to structured exercise programs threaten the adoption of healthy habits.
Parents and educators play a key role in shaping a child's relationship with physical activity. Their support and involvement, as well as a positive example, contribute to the creation of physical exercise habits in children and a positive attitude towards movement. Free activities, such as playing in the park, and structured activities, such as sports playgrounds, are equally important. Research shows that children who participate in regular physical activity develop better motor skills, have a higher level of self-confidence and demonstrate a higher level of social skills.
This paper explores the importance of physical activity for preschool children, the role of parents and educators, and the impact of modern lifestyles on physical activity levels. Special emphasis is placed on the need to create conditions that allow children to satisfy their natural need for movement through play, sports, and everyday activities, as well as the importance of educating parents and the community about the long-term benefits of physical activity for children's health.
In conclusion, physical activity in preschool is not only crucial for physical development, but also plays a significant role in emotional, cognitive, and social maturation, thereby laying the foundation for a healthy and successful life
Early Christian sarcophagi of the Brač-Salona type: corpus, context, chronology
uspostavljene su četiri grupe s podtipovima (IA i IB, IIA i IIB, IIIA i IIIB i IV). Postoje i dva
višestrukih grupa i podtipova, a predstavljaju potvrdu mogućnosti istovremenog nastanka više
trideset i tri primjerka.
plovnog puta Salona – Jader – Pola – Akvileja. Dužjadranska plovidba nije završavala u
Akvileji.
bizantskom stopom.
Sarkofazi nisu bili jedini proizvod bračko-salonitanskog radioničkog kruga. Radionice
Sarkofazi bračko-salonitanskog tipa predstavljaju tek reduciran odraz umjetničkih
nađenog u sarkofazima iz Trevisa i Splita, a posebice predstavljanjem bazilike Sv. Agate u
The sarcophagi of the Brač-Salonitan Type are known for their simple design. These
sarcophagi feature a singular ornament: variations of the cross motif centred on the
rectangular box. This dissertation introduces a new typological classification for these
sarcophagi, considering the different cross types, their placement within various
compositional frameworks, the relationship between the cross and the framework, and the
connection between the framework and the moulding on the sarcophagus's frontal panel.
Based on these criteria, four primary groups with corresponding subtypes have been
identified: IA and IB, IIA and IIB, IIIA and IIIB, and IV. Additionally, there are two
sarcophagi that do not fit into any of these groups, as they combine elements from multiple
groups and subtypes. These sarcophagi confirm the simultaneous production of different
Brač-Salonitan sarcophagus types within the relatively short period during which they were
made.
The spatial distribution of this type of sarcophagi is presented. Of the eighty-seven
sarcophagi, twenty-two were found on the western coast and sixty-five on the eastern coast of
the Adriatic. Among the sixty-five sarcophagi from the eastern coast, only two were found
slightly further inland. Conversely, on the western coast of the Adriatic, only three out of the
twenty-two were found deeper inland. The highest concentration of finds is in the broader
area around Salona, with thirty-three specimens discovered. When considering the remaining
specimens found on the eastern coast of the Adriatic, we observe that, with only a few
exceptions, they are distributed along the main ancient sea route Salona – Jader – Pola –
Aquileia. Adriatic navigation did not conclude in Aquileia; an equally significant destination
was Ravenna, where twelve specimens were found. This makes Ravenna, following Salona
and Brač, the location with the most Brač-Salonitan Type of the sarcophagi discovered.
The sarcophagi of the Brač-Salonitan Type were mass-produced, and due to similarity
in dimensions, shape, and decoration on the frontal panel, workshops likely produced them
using common templates. Upon examining the measurements of the sarcophagi, their
balanced proportions become apparent. A modular scheme can be identified based on how
their dimensions were measured. Out of the fifty-three sarcophagi for which we have
measurements, when comparing their three dimensions, it becomes evident that twenty-five of
them adhered to a module defined by the so-called Byzantine foot in at least one dimension
during production.
The sarcophagi were not the exclusive product of the Brač-Salona workshops. The
workshops stationed in Salona and on Brač could fully equip a sacred building. The stone
church furniture from Lovrečina and Mirje on Brač, Brzet near Omiš, Bijaći, and Srima was
made in the local Brač-Salona workshops. Similarities in the floor plans of the mentioned
buildings and the specificity in the craftsmanship of the furniture that adorned these churches
indicate the same origin.
Sarcophagi of the Brač-Salonitan Type represent merely a reduced reflection of the
artistic trends in the more significant cultural and artistic centres of the Eastern Empire. By
identifying indicative structural, performative, and iconographic similarities – as well as
undeniable differences – the dissertation demonstrates how this group of sarcophagi
represents a stylistic reflection of general artistic currents at a provincial level. The transfer of
iconographic and morphological solutions from the capital of the Empire to other centres in
the west was observed through the contemporary production of sarcophagi and stone
sculpture.
The difficulty in determining the chronological attribution of this type of sarcophagus
was posed by the fact that the vast majority of sarcophagi of the Brač-Salonitan Type were not
found in their original locations, nor within an archaeological context. However, by
comparing the archaeological material found in sarcophagi from Treviso and Split, and
especially through the presentation of the Basilica of St. Agatha in Ravenna as a case study of
the chronological stratification of this group of sarcophagi, a more precise time frame in
which this group of sarcophagi can be situated has been determined
PREDICTORS OF JOB SATISFACTION OF PSYCHOLOGISTS: A SCOPING REVIEW
A scoping review was conducted to investigate which variables predict psychologists' job satisfaction the most, across different fields of psychology. The aim was also to determine which predictors and instruments were used most frequently for the assessment of job satisfaction among psychologists. Data search for inclusion in the scoping review was limited to quantitative empirical studies that involved the measurement of job satisfaction of practicing psychologists. Literature searches were made in November of 2023. The information search was systematically performed from the inception of electronic bibliographic databases Web of Science (WoS) and PubMed. All retrieved articles were exported to the Zotero reference manager and deduplicated, followed by screening performed by two independent reviewers, which resulted in a total of 38 articles being eligible for our analysis. A comprehensive data extraction and assessment tool was developed in Excel to assess the characteristics of the included studies. We used the Joanna Briggs Critical Appraisal Tool (CAT) (https://jbi.global/critical-appraisal-tools) to assess the methodological qualities of studies that were included in this research. Results of this study have shown that, across all fields of psychology, job satisfaction levels are most frequently predicted with variables concerning work environment and support. Results imply that psychologists' better communication with and integration among colleagues and superiors was associated with higher satisfaction with their jobs. Conversely, shifts in the work environment, such as increases in technology use and training modifications, as well as workplaces exposed to a higher number of clients have been associated with lower levels of job satisfaction. Furthermore, in the context of all psychological domains, except for clinical psychology, factors related to work environment and support have been most frequently used to assess levels of job satisfaction. In studies that focused on clinical psychologists, the most used factors for assessment of satisfaction have been those related to psychological factors, which encompass personal aspects such as psychological flexibility, self-efficacy, career-sustaining behaviors, and emotional demands. Additionally, our study reports a high diversity of instruments used to measure job satisfaction in different contexts, with a great number of articles reporting using non-validated measures. Our findings highlight the need for standardized, validated measures of job satisfaction which are tailored to specific psychological domains, to better the consistency and applicability of future research outcomes
TRIANGULAR THEORY OF LOVE IN GEN X AND GEN Z: A COMPARATIVE STUDY
This study examines generational differences in romantic relationships between Generation X and Generation Z using Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love as a framework. A sample of 414 participants, comprising 187 from Gen X and 227 from Gen Z, completed the Sternberg Triangular Love Scale. The study found that Gen Z scored higher on all three love components—intimacy, passion, and commitment—compared to Gen X, suggesting a more intense or positive experience of love among younger individuals. Additionally, while both generations generally prioritized intimacy and commitment over passion in their ideal relationships, significant gender differences emerged, with women valuing intimacy more and men prioritizing passion. Regression analyses revealed that religiosity and religious/spiritual compatibility between partners positively predicted overall scores on the Sternberg Love Scale, while spirituality unexpectedly showed a negative association. These findings provide insights into the evolving dynamics of love across generations and genders, highlighting the need for further research on generational and gender influences on romantic relationships
KVALITETNO VRIJEME RODITELJA I DJECE
Biti roditelj, prije svega znači brinuti o dobrobiti svog djeteta.
Jedan od načina na koji
roditelj uvelike doprinosi psihofizičkom, mentalnom i emocionalnom razvoju djeteta je
provođenje kvalitetnog vremena s djetetom. Promjene unutar obiteljske strukture kroz
Being a parent means first and foremost caring for your child's well
being. One of the
ways in which a parent greatly contributes to a child’s psychophysical, mental and emotional
development is to spend quality time with the child. Changes within the fami ly structure
throughout history, different lifestyles and responsibilities of parents, employment, etc. affect
the amount of free time a parent can spend with their child, but most important of all is that
parents accept the fact that it is not the goal to spend much time with with your child, already
but to spend quality time. Sometimes less is more
DRAMA ACTIVITIES IN CLASSROOM TEACHING
The aim of this master's thesis is to demonstrate the significance of drama in education,
particularly its application in primary education. Various types of drama are discussed, with an
emphasis on process and educational drama, exploring the influence of drama methods on
students' development. The thesis thoroughly examines and outlines some of the drama
methods in teaching, focusing on the special role of the teacher in implementing drama
activities in the classroom.
The application of drama games, exercises, and techniques is highlighted across different
age groups of students, providing some examples that can be utilized in the classroom. Through
the analysis of numerous literature sources, the thesis contributes to a better understanding of
the numerous positive effects of drama education on the educational process and individual
student development. The theoretical framework of drama education is studied, connecting it with the development of creativity, emotional intelligence, social skills, imagination, humor,
empathy, tolerance, and other potentials that educational drama brings along.
The paper explores potential obstacles that teachers may encounter. However, instead of
viewing them as obstacles, teachers should perceive these challenges as opportunities for
personal development and utilize them as motivation to enhance their pedagogical approach
CHARACTERISTICS OF PARENTING IN EXPLAINING ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS
Family is one of the most important environments for a child's development regardless of their age. A large body of research indicates that specific parental behaviors exhibited towards adolescent children are associated with positive or negative developmental outcomes. The aim of this study was to examine parenting characteristics that are linked to various forms of behavioral problems in their children. The research was conducted as part of a broader project: Testing the 5C framework of positive youth development: traditional and digital mobile assessment - P.R.O.T.E.C.T. A total of 3559 first-grade high school students from eight cities in Croatia participated. The survey was conducted online via the SurveyMonkey platform during regular school hours. The research results showed that there are differences among students themselves in types of risky behaviors based on gender and the type of school they attend. Additionally, parental involvement has been shown to be an important factor in adolescent upbringing
