Festivals in tourism - motivation, satisfaction and behavior of visitors
Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje motivacijske faktore koji potiču posjetitelje na sudjelovanje u festivalima, te analizira kako kvaliteta festivala utječe na zadovoljstvo posjetitelja i njihovo buduće ponašanje. Cilj je dublje razumjeti elemente koji čine festivale privlačnim, te kako kvaliteta iskustva može oblikovati percepciju i odluke posjetitelja u vezi s prisustvovanjem sličnim događajima u budućnosti. Posebna naglasak stavljen je na transformacije i njihov utjecaj na posjetitelje. Digitalna transformacija kroz mobilne aplikacije i virtualnu stvarnost omogućuje bogatija iskustva, dok održive prakse povećavaju ekološku svijest i privlačnost festivala. Također, festivali uspijevaju potaknuti promjene kod ljudi, poboljšavajući njihovo zadovoljstvo, potičući osobni razvoj i mijenjajući njihove buduće percepcije i ponašanje u vezi s prisustvovanjem sličnim događajima. Uzimajući u obzir nekoliko odabranih međunarodno afirmiranih festivala kao što su Burning Man, Glastonbury i Las Fallas, dolazimo do raznolikih sadržaja koji stvaraju jedinstvena iskustva za posjetitelje. Ovi festivali se usredotočuju na pojedince, nudeći personalizirana i interaktivna iskustva koja zadovoljavaju različite interese i potrebe. Osim toga, primjenjuju održive prakse i doživljaj festivala. Njihova kontinuirana evolucija i sposobnost prilagođavanja novim trendovima i tehnologijama omogućuju im da ostanu relevantni i privlačni širokoj publici, čime značajno utječu na globalnu festivalsku scenu.This thesis explores the motivational factors that drive visitors to participate in festivals and analyzes how the quality of festivals affects visitor satisfaction and their future behavior. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the elements that make festivals attractive and how the quality of the experience can shape visitors' perceptions and decisions regarding attendance at similar events in the future. Special emphasis is placed on transformations and their impact on visitors. Digital transformation through mobile applications and virtual reality enables richer experiences, while sustainable practices increase environmental awareness and the attractiveness of festivals. Additionally, festivals succeed in promoting changes in people, enhancing their satisfaction, encouraging personal development, and altering their future perceptions and behavior regarding attendance at similar events. Considering several internationally renowned festivals such as Burning Man, Glastonbury, and Las Fallas, we encounter diverse content that creates unique experiences for visitors. These festivals focus on individuals, offering personalized and interactive experiences that cater to various interests and needs. Furthermore, they apply sustainable practices and integrate advanced technologies to improve the organization and experience of the festival. Their continuous evolution and ability to adapt to new trends and technologies enable them to remain relevant and attractive to a broad audience, significantly impacting the global festival scene
Marketing of non-profit organizations in an international context
U diplomskom radu se istražuje marketing neprofitnih organizacija u međunarodnom kontekstu, analizirajući teorijske okvire i praktične primjene. Fokus je na specifičnostima međunarodnog marketinga neprofitnih organizacija kao što su UNICEF Hrvatska, Greenpeace Hrvatska i SOS Dječje Selo. Korištena metodologija uključivala je dubinske intervjue s predstavnicima ovih organizacija kako bi se dobio detaljan uvid u njihove marketinške strategije, uključujući ponudu, cijenu, distribuciju i promociju. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su raznolike pristupe ovih organizacija u prilagodbi međunarodnim tržištima. Ovaj rad predstavlja temelj za daljnje istraživanje specifičnih marketinških strategija, utjecaja digitalizacije te novih izvora financiranja za uspješniji rad neprofitnih organizacija.This thesis examines the marketing of non-profit organizations in an international context, analyzing theoretical frameworks and practical applications. The focus is on the specifics of international marketing of non-profit organizations such as UNICEF Croatia, Greenpeace Croatia and SOS Dječje Selo. The methodology used included in-depth interviews with representatives of these organizations to gain detailed insight into their marketing strategies, including offer, price, distribution and promotion. The results of the research showed the diverse approaches of these organizations in adapting to international markets. This paper represents the basis for further research into specific marketing strategies, the impact of digitization and new sources of funding for the more successful work of non-profit organizations
Pregled biomedicinskih aplikacija polisaharida iz algi roda Ulva
U ovom radu istražuje se kemijski sastav, biološka aktivnost i potencijalne primjene ulvana, polisaharida dobivenog iz makroalgi roda Ulva. Analizirane su metode ekstrakcije i pročišćavanja ulvana koje su ključne za dobivanje čistog ekstrakta s očuvanjem njegovih bioaktivnih svojstva. Ulvan posjeduje značajne antioksidativne, antikancerogene, antikoagulacijske, antimikrobne, imunološke, protuupalne i antihiperilipidemičke osobine, što ga čini potencijalnim kandidatom za primjenu u medicini, prehrambenoj industriji, farmaceutici, poljoprivredi i kozmetici. Iako se ulvan još uvijek ne koristi u ljudskoj medicini, rezultati istraživanja in vivo na životinjama i in vitro na ljudskim stanicama ukazuju na njegova pozitivna svojstva. Ovaj rad također razmatra mogućnosti razvoja biomaterijala na bazi ulvana, s posebnim naglaskom na primjenu u zacjeljivanju rana. Zaključno, daljnja istraživanja su potrebna kako bi se utvrdio puni potencijal ulvana i njegov utjecaj na ljudsko zdravlje.This paper investigates the chemical composition, biological activity, and potential applications of ulvan, a polysaccharide derived from macroalgae of the genus Ulva. The extraction and purification methods of ulvan, which are crucial for obtaining a pure extract while preserving its bioactive properties, were analyzed. Ulvan possesses significant antioxidant, anticancer, anticoagulant, antimicrobial, immunological, anti-inflammatory, and antihyperlipidemic properties, making it a potential candidate for applications in medicine, the food industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and cosmetics. Although ulvan is not yet used in human medicine, in vivo research on animals and in vitro studies on human cells indicate its positive properties.
This paper also explores the potential for developing ulvan-based biomaterials, with a particular focus on wound healing applications. In conclusion, further research is needed to determine the full potential of ulvan and its impact on human health

Judita Marka Marulića se često navodi kao kamen temeljac hrvatske književne baštine. Predstavlja rijedak i dragocjen primjerak rane hrvatske proze i poezije, prikazujući jezi-čno i kulturno bogatstvo toga razdoblja. Judita spaja moralnu i duhovnu dimenziju Sta-roga zavjeta s formalno-estetskim kvalitetama vergilijanskog epa, što je osobito vidljivo u strukturi i kompoziciji. Ep slijedi minucioznu kompozicijsku strategiju koja odražava narative klasičnih epova, dok istovremeno ugrađuje duboke religiozne teme i etička razmišljanja izvedena iz biblijske priče o Juditi. Prikaz Judite kao hrabre i pobožne juna-kinje, koja djeluje s moralnom i duhovnom snagom, nadilazi uobičajene prikaze žena u renesansnoj književnosti. Marulić ovim epom oblikuje novi arhetip „junačke žene“, koja se aktivno bori za svoje ideale, a pritom ostaje snažno povezana s religijskim vredno-tama. U katalogu hrabrih žena, poput Debore, Jaele i Ester, te uz usporedbe s mitskim heroinama, Marulić prikazuje Juditu kao vrhunac hrabrosti, vjere i domoljublja. Uspo-ređivanjem Judite s biblijskim i mitološkim ženama, otkriva se njezina jedinstvena spo-sobnost da stvara prilike tamo gdje ih nema, pokazujući nadnaravnu hrabrost i čvrstu vjeru u Božji plan. Posebno je zanimljiva paralela između Judite i Mile Gojsalić, čiji su hrabri činovi u mnogome slični Juditinim. Judita merges the moral and spiritual dimensions of the Old Testament with the formal and aesthetic qualities of the Virgilian epic, (which is) particularly evident in its structure and composition. The epic follows a meticulous compositional strategy that reflects the narratives of classical epics while simultaneously incorporating profound religious themes and ethical reflections derived from the biblical story of Judith. The portrayal of Judith as a brave and devout heroine, who embodies moral and spiritual strength, transcends typical depictions of women in Renaissance literature. With this epic poem, Marulić shapes a new archetype of the "heroic woman," who actively fights for her ideals while remaining deeply connec-ted to religious values. In the catalog of courageous women, such as Deborah, Jael, and Esther, and in comparison with mythological heroines, Marulić portrays Judith as the epitome of bravery, faith, and patriotism. By comparing Judith with biblical and mythological women, her unique ability to create opportunities where none exist is re-vealed, demonstrating supernatural courage and steadfast faith in God's plan. Particu-larly interesting is the parallel between Judith and Mila Gojsalić, whose brave deeds closely resemble those of Judith. Both women symbolize universal values of courage and patriotism, and their deeds have been recorded not only in literature but also in the collective memory of the people. The story of Judith and Holofernes, through artistic works and Marulić's literary interpretation, highlights various aspects of courage, faith, and moral struggle. While painters like Caravaggio and Artemisia Gentileschi depict the physical brutality and emotional tension of the moment, Marulić emphasizes Judith's spiritual struggle and her unwavering faith in divine justice. Presentation of the academic discourse in research on various aspects of the use of poetic structures in work with pre-school children
U ovom radu nastoji se objasniti zastupljenost akademskog diskursa u
proučavanju različitih aspekata uporabe poetskih struktura u radu s djecom jasličke
dobi. Ovim diplomskim radom bit će razjašnjeno trenutačno stanje znanstvene i
stručne literature na ovu temu, potaknut će se daljnja istraživanja te uporabom
poetskih struktura doprinijeti oblikovanju pedagoškog pristupa u radu s djecom jasličke
dobi. Prikazana je prilagodba pedagoških metoda s fokusom na poetska sredstva u
radu s djecom jasličke dobi koja ima dubok utjecaj na njihov cjelokupni razvoj. Kroz
integraciju ritma, rime i melodije u svakodnevne aktivnosti djece, omogućuje se
holistički pristup koji potiče različite aspekte djetetova razvoja. Razvoj jezičnih vještina
ključan je element u ovoj fazi, a poetski elementi pružaju bogat jezični kontekst. Djeca
uče nove riječi i načine izražavanja, razvijaju sposobnost razlikovanja zvukova te
prepoznaju ritmičke uzorke, što pomaže u razumijevanju jezika. S druge strane,
emocionalni razvoj potiče se kroz poetske izraze koji omogućuju djeci izražavanje
osjećaja i stvaranje emocionalne povezanosti s okolinom. Djeca kroz igre s poezijom
koristeći različite teksture, zvukove i pokrete, razvijaju svoje osjetilne sposobnosti,
poboljšavaju koordinaciju i grade temelje za kasnije motoričke vještine. Uvođenje
poetskih elemenata u rad s djecom jasličke dobi pomaže u poticanju njihovog
cjelokupnog razvoja na dubok i sveobuhvatan način.In this thesis, an attempt is made to explain the representation of academic
discourse in the study of various aspects of the use of poetic structures in work with
nursery school children. This graduate thesis will clarify the current state of scientific
and professional literature on this topic, will encourage further research, and by using
poetic structures will contribute to shaping the pedagogical approach in working with
children of nursery age. The adaptation of pedagogical methods with a focus on poetic
means in working with children of nursery age has a profound impact on their overall
development. Through the integration of rhythm, rhyme and melody in children's daily
activities, a holistic approach is enabled that encourages different aspects of the child's
development. The development of language skills is a key element at this stage, and
poetic elements provide a rich linguistic context. Children learn new words and
expressions, develop the ability to distinguish sounds and recognize rhythmic patterns,
which helps in understanding language. On the other hand, emotional development is
encouraged through poetic expressions that allow children to express their feelings
and create an emotional connection with the environment. Through games with poetry,
using different textures, sounds and movements, children develop their sensory
abilities, improve coordination and build the foundation for later motor skills.
Introducing poetic elements into the work with children of nursery age helps to
stimulate their overall development in a deep and comprehensive way
Family and child with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
Deficit pažnje/hiperaktivni poremećaj u suvremenom svijetu je sveprisutan. Ne predstavlja nikakvu novost kao pojava u dječjem ponašanju i funkcioniranju te je i dalje stigmatiziran od strane okruženja i kada je u pitanju roditelj i kada je u pitanju dijete. Ovaj diplomski rad bavi se djetetom s deficitom pažnje/ hiperaktivnim poremećajem s posebnim naglaskom na utjecaj obitelji u tom smislu. Detaljnije, rad razmatra općenita pitanja o ovom poremećaju kod djece., kriterije za njegovo dijagnosticiranje te mogućnosti njegovog individualiziranog tretmana.. Posebno se ističe utjecaj i uloga obitelji u tom smislu i njen utjecaj na socijalna, emocionalna, intelektualna te moralna obilježja dječjeg razvoja. Ističe se posebno važnost edukacije roditelja. Naime, moguće je da roditelji izbjegnu ili umanje razinu stresa i frustracija kroz organizirane radionice, edukacije i predavanja, na kojima će savladati vještine i unaprjeđivati sposobnosti koje će se prenositi i na dijete te će tako poboljšavati svoj odnos, mogućnosti djeteta, ali i osigurati jednostavnije funkcioniranje u okruženju.Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder is ubiquitous in the modern world. It does not represent anything new as a phenomenon in children's behavior and functioning and is still stigmatized by the environment both when it comes to the parent and when it comes to the child. This thesis deals with a child with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder with special emphasis on the influence of the family in this sense. In more detail, the paper examines general questions about this disorder in children, the criteria for its diagnosis and the possibilities of its individualized treatment. In particular, the influence and role of the family in this sense and its influence on the social, emotional, intellectual and moral characteristics of children's development are highlighted. The importance of parent education is especially emphasized. Namely, it is possible for parents to avoid or reduce the level of stress and frustration through organized workshops, educations and lectures, where they will master skills and improve abilities that will be transferred to the child and thus improve their relationship, the child's opportunities, but also provide easier functioning in the environment
Characterization of depostional environments in bays Funtana and Veštar based on sediment cores
Analizom taložnih okoliša dobivaju se informacije o vrsti sedimenta koji se taloži, mineralnom sastavu, gibanju morske vode te organizmima koji nastanjuju to područje. Cilj ovog rada bio je na temelju sedimentnih jezgri u uvali Funtana i Veštar okarakterizirati taložne okoliše. U uvali Funtana uzete su tri jezgre na tri različite postaje. Na južnoj strani uvale uzeta je postaja Funtana 1 (u blizini potoka), na sredini uvale uzeta je jezgra na postaji Funtana 3 te na sjevernoj strani uvale uzeta je jezgra na postaji Funtana 5. Uzorkovanje je obavljeno u tri sezone odnosno proljeće, ljeto i jesen 2021 godine. U uvali Veštar uzete su jezgre na dvije postaje odnosno na području rasta cvjetnice C. nodosa i na području rasta cvjetnice Z. noltii, također u sve tri sezone. Nakon uzorkovanja napravljene su laboratorijske analize poput granulometrije sedimenta putem koje smo dobili informacije o veličini zrna, sortiranosti te vrsti sedimenta. Mikroskopskom analizom pregledani su svi uzorci te fotografirani kako bi se vidio udio litoklasta i bioklasta te postoje li razlike između postaja u svakoj od uvala te razlike između dvije uvale. Mikroskopska analiza dodatno je potvrđena analizom udjela karbonata i mineraloškim sastavom sedimenta. Granulometrijskom analizom utvrđeno je da se u uvali Funtana uzorci razlikuju ovisno o postaji uzorkovanja. Postaja Funtana 1 (F1) okarakterizirana je kao blago šljunkovito-pjeskoviti mulj u većoj mjeri te u manjoj mjeri blago šljunkoviti mulj. Postaja Funtana 3 (F3) okarakterizirana kao šljunkoviti mulj za uzorak iz listopada na dubini jezgre od 18-20 cm, dok ostali uzorci okarakterizirani kao blago šljunkovito-pjeskoviti mulj. Postaja Funtana 5 (F5) granulometrijski se razlikuje ovisno o sezoni uzorkovanja. Ovisno o sezoni uzorkovanja sedimenti su okarakterizirani kao blago šljunkovito-muljeviti pijesak ili blago šljunkovito-pjeskoviti mulj. U uvali Veštar obje postaje granulometrijski su okarakterizirane kao blago šljunkovito-muljeviti pijesak. Udio karbonata u uvali Funtana povećava se od južne strane uvale (postaja F1) prema sjeverno strani uvale (postaja F5). Prosječni udio karbonata na postaji F1 iznosi 20,32±1,59 %, F3 21,29±3,58 %, F5 60,78±8,12 %. U uvali Veštar nema većih razlika između postaje po pitanju udjela karbonata, razlika iznosi oko 0,52 %. Područje rasta cvjetnice C. nodosa iznosi 83,04±6,53 %, a područje rasta cvjetnice Z. noltii iznosi 83,56±5,21 %. Analizom mineraloškog sastava u uvali Funtana pronađeni su dominantni minerali kvarca za postaju F1, a za postaju F5 minerali kalcita i kvarca. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata u uvali Funtana i Veštar okarakterizirani su taložni okoliši za obje uvale.By analyzing depositional environments, obtained information about the type of sediment that is deposited, its mineral composition, the movement of seawater, and the organisms inhabiting the area. The aim of this study was to characterize the depositional environments in Funtana and Veštar bays based on sediment cores. In Funtana Bay, three cores were taken from three different stations. On the southern side of the bay, station Funtana 1 was sampled (near a water stream), in the middle of the bay, a core was taken at station Funtana 3, and on the northern side of the bay, a core was taken at station Funtana 5. Sampling was conducted in three seasons: spring, summer, and autumn. In Veštar Bay, cores were taken at two stations, one in the area where the seagrass C. nodosa grows and the other in the area where the seagrass Z. noltii grows, also in all three seasons. After sampling, laboratory analyses were conducted, such as sediment granulometry, which provided information on grain size, sorting, and sediment type. All samples were examined microscopically and photographed to observe the proportion of lithoclasts and bioclasts and to identify differences between stations in each bay and differences between the two bays. The microscopic analysis was further confirmed by analyzing the carbonate content and mineral composition of the sediment. Granulometric analysis determined that in Funtana Bay, the samples differ depending on the sampling station. Station Funtana 1 (F1) was characterized as slightly gravelly-sandy silt to a greater extent and slightly gravelly silt to a lesser extent. Station Funtana 3(F3) was characterized as gravelly silt for the October sample at a core depth of 18-20 cm, while other samples were characterized as slightly gravelly-sandy silt. Station Funtana 5(F5) granulometrically varies depending on the sampling season. Depending on the season, the sediments were characterized as slightly gravelly-muddy sand or slightly gravelly-sandy silt. In Veštar Bay, both stations were granulometrically characterized as slightly gravelly-muddy sand. The carbonate content in Funtana Bay increases from the southern side of the bay (station F1) to the northern side of the bay (station F5). The average carbonate content at station F1 is 20.32±1.59 %, at F3 it is 21.29±3.58 %, and at F5 it is 60.78±8.12 %. In Veštar Bay, there were no significant differences between the stations in terms of carbonate content, with a difference of about 0.52 %. The area where C. nodosa grows had a carbonate content of 83.04±6.53 %, and the area where Z. noltii grows had a carbonate content of 83.56±5.21 %. Mineralogical analysis in Funtana Bay found that quartz is the dominant mineral at station F1, while calcite and quartz are the dominant minerals at station F5. Research on the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate marketing strategies
Diplomski rad istražuje utjecaj umjetne inteligencije (AI) na marketinške strategije poduzeća, s posebnim fokusom na način na koji umjetna inteligencija transformira poslovne procese i personalizira marketinške aktivnosti. U radu se analizira razvoj umjetne inteligencije, njezine vrste te primjena AI alata kao što su generativni modeli, konverzacijski agenti i virtualni asistenti. Kroz empirijsko istraživanje provedenih na poduzećima u Republici Hrvatskoj, rad procjenjuje kako integracija umjetne inteligencije utječe na donošenje strateških odluka, prilagodbu poslovnih procesa te stvaranje konkurentske prednosti. Rezultati ukazuju da umjetna inteligencija omogućuje optimizaciju marketinških troškova, personalizaciju korisničkog iskustva i povećanje učinkovitosti marketinških kampanja, ali također donosi izazove poput prilagodbe zaposlenika i etičkih pitanja vezanih uz pristranost i privatnost podataka.The thesis examines the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate marketing strategies, with a specific focus on how artificial intelligence transforms business processes and personalizes marketing activities. It analyzes the development of artificial intelligence, its types, and the application of artificial intelligence tools such as generative models, conversational agents, and virtual assistants. Through empirical research conducted on companies in the Republic of Croatia, the thesis evaluates how the integration of artificial intelligence influences strategic decision-making, the adaptation of business processes, and the creation of competitive advantage. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence facilitates the optimization of marketing costs, enhances customer experience personalization, and improves the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. However, it also presents challenges such as employee adaptation and ethical concerns related to bias and data privacy
Stress and coping with stress in educational institutions
Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je stres i suočavanje sa stresom kod odgojno-obrazovnih djelatnika, naglasak je na učiteljima i odgojiteljima. Stres je stanje u kojem se osoba nalazi kada je opterećena problemima ili zahtjevima vanjskog svijeta kojima se ne uspijeva prilagoditi. Stresori su situacije ili zahtjevi koji izazivaju stres. Kako bi mogli utjecati na stres i stresore, važno je poznavati strategije suočavanja sa stresom. Strategije suočavanja sa stresom su načini kojima se osoba koristi kako bi smanjila stres ili izbjegla negativne učinke.
U sklopu ovog diplomskog rada, provedeno je istraživanje kojemu je bio cilj ispitati izvore stresa i načine suočavanja sa stresom kod učiteljica i odgojiteljica. U istraživanju sudjelovalo je 240 ispitanica, od kojih je 105 učiteljica i 132 odgojiteljice. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da se sa nastavničkim stresorima susreću i odgojiteljice i učiteljice, no nešto više razine stresora prepoznaju odgojiteljice. Osim količine stresora, odgojiteljice i učiteljice razlikuju se i u tome koji su to stresori koje najviše prepoznaju i koji su oni koje najmanje prepoznaju. Dokazano je i da odgojiteljice i učiteljice koriste sve tri strategije suočavanja sa stresom. Jedina razlika je u tome što učiteljice više koriste strategiju suočavanja usmjerenu na problem. Ujedno se pokazalo i da je veća razina stresora povezana s većom razinom upotrebe strategije usmjerene na emocije i kod odgojiteljica i kod učiteljica, a kod učiteljica takva povezanost postoji i između stresora i ukupnog korištenja strategija suočavanja.
Ovim istraživanjem je utvrđeno da su učiteljice i odgojiteljice izložene velikoj količini stresa te je utvrđeno da se koriste različitim strategijama suočavanja. Ovaj rad pomaže u boljem razumijevanju stresora s kojima se svakodnevno susreću u svom radu te ukazuje na strategije suočavanja s kojim se koriste u stresnim situacijama.The subject of this thesis is stress and dealing with stress in educational workers and the emphasis is on elementary school teachers and preschool teachers. Stress is a state in which someone finds themselves when they are troubled by problems or demands from the outside world to which they fail to adapt. Stressors are situations or demands that cause stress. In order to handle stress and stressors, it is important to know stress coping strategies. Stress coping strategies are different ways someone uses to reduce stress or to avoid negative effects.
For the purposes of this paper, a study was conducted with the aim of examining the sources of stress and ways of coping with stress among elementary and preschool teachers. There were 240 persons that participated in the research of which 105 were elementary school teachers and 132 were preschool teachers. The results of the research showed that both preschool and elementary school teachers are encountered with stressors, but slightly higher levels of stressors are recognized by preschool teachers. Besides the amount of stressors, elementary and preschool teachers also differ by which stressors they recognize the most and the ones they recognize the least. It was also proven that both preschool and elementary teachers use all three strategies for coping with stress. The only difference is that elementary school teachers use more of a problem-focused coping strategy. It was also revealed that higher level of stressors are associated with a higher level of emotion-oriented strategy usage in both preschool and elementary school teachers, and in the case of elementary school teachers, such a connection also exists between stressors and the overall usage of stress coping strategies.
Through this research, it was determined that elementary school and preschool teachers are exposed to a large amount of stress, and it was also found that they use different coping strategies. This paper helps us understand the stressors that teachers encounter every day in their work better and indicates which stress coping strategies they use
