Parametric Analysis of Seismic Resistance of Masonry Building : Master's Thesis
Zadatak diplomskog rada je parametarska analiza te procjena potresne otpornosti zgrade od omeđenog ziđa. Procjena potresne otpornosti se provodi po pojednostavljenom postupku prema pravilima za jednostavne zidane zgrade te uz pomoć metode naguravanja u programskom paketu AmQuake.The goal of this thesis is parametric analysis of seismic resistance of building made of confined masonry walls. Assessment of the seismic resistance is determined in accordance with the simplifies pricedure for simple masonary buildings and by using pushover analysis in the computer program Amquake

Use of Cables from E-Waste as Part of Aggregates in Concrete : Master's Thesis
Potrošnja betona je raširena u svim zemljama svijeta, pa je kao takav jedan od najvažnijih građevinskih materijala, ali ujedno i veliki zagađivač okoliša. Istraživači već neko vrijeme pokušavaju u svrhu održive gradnje naći ekološki prihvatljivija rješenja. Od davnina su poznata mikro ojačanja betona u obliku vlakana – mikroarmirani beton, a sad se javlja potreba za nalaženjem održivijih rješenja kao npr. za otpadne kabele koji se u nedostatku boljih opcija – pale. U ovom radu će se ispitati svojstva betona s PVC vlaknima od otpadnih kabela i dijelovima kabela s EE otpada kao zamjenom za agregat. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata doneseni su zaključci.Consumption of concrete is widespread in all countries of the world, so as such it is one of the most important building materials, but also a major polluter of the environment. Researchers have been trying for some time to find more environmentally friendly solutions for sustainable construction. Fibres reinforced concrete have been known for a long time and now there is a need to find a solution for more sustainable solutions such us waste cables in the form of fibres that, in the absence of better options, ignite. In this paper, the properties of concrete with PVC fibres and with e-waste cables as a substitute for aggregate will be examined. Based on the obtained results, conclusions were given
Structural Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Residential Building and its Physical Properties in the Area of the City of Split : Master's Thesis
U ovom diplomskom radu prikazan je proračun armiranobetonske konstrukcije i fizikalna svojstva iste. Riječ je o stambenoj zgradi koja se nalazi na području Splita i sastoji se od podruma, prizemlja i 6 katova. Jedan od osnovnih programa pri izradi rada bio je SCIA Engineer 19.1 u kojem je, sukladno normama propisanim Eurokodom, izvršeno dimenzioniranje i proračun nosivih elemenata. Drugi korišteni računali program je KI Expert Plus u kojem je napravljen proračun fizike zgrade i dobiveni su podaci o koeficijentu prolaska topline, difuziji vodene pare, dinamičkim toplinskim karakteristikama i korisnoj energiji.In this master's thesis the calculation of the reinforced concrete structure and its physical properties are presented. It is a residential building located in the area of Split and consists of a basement, ground floor and six floors. One of the basic programs in the development of the work was SCIA Engineer 19.1 in which, in accordance with the standards prescribed by Eurocode, the sizing and calculation of load-bearing elements was performed. Another used computer program is KI Expert Plus in which a calculation of building physics was made and data on heat transfer coefficient, water vapor diffusion, dynamic thermal characteristics and useful energy were obtained
The Influence of the Test Specimen's Size and Maximum Aggregate Grain on the Mechanical Characteristics of a Hardened Concrete : Master's Thesis
Čvrstoća betona osnovni je pokazatelj kvalitete betona, a tlačna čvrstoća je okarakterizirana kao glavni pokazatelj kvalitete betona ugrađenog u konstrukcije. Cilj ovog rada je ispitati mogućnost određivanja tlačne čvrstoće betona na polovicama prizmi, nakon ispitivanja čvrstoće na savijanje. Za tu svrhu su izrađene prizme dimenzija 10x10x40 cm, kocke brida 10 cm i kocke brida 15 cm. Predviđena je izrada 3 mješavine sa različitim maksimalnim zrnom agregata. Izrađene su 3 mješavine sa različitim maksimalnim zrnom agregata, te jednakom količinom cementa i jednakim vodocementnim faktorom. Ispitana su i analizirana sljedeća svojstva: konzistencija, dinamički modul elastičnosti, čvrstoća na savijanje i tlačna čvrstoća. Uspostavljena je veza između izmjerenih vrijednosti čvrstoća na različitim uzorcima.The strength of concrete is the basic indicator of concrete quality, and compressive strength is characterized as the main ndicator of the quality of concrete built-in constructions. This paper aims to examine the possibility of determining the compressive strength of concrete on the halves of prisms, after testing the flexural strength. Prisms measuring 10x10x40 cm, cubes with an edge length of 10 cm, and cubes with an edge length of 15 cm were made for this purpose. 3 mixtures were made with different maximum aggregate grain, the same amount of cement, and the same w/c factor. The following properties were tested and analyzed: consistency, dynamic modulus of elasticity, flexural strength, and compressive strength. A relation was established between the measured strength values on different specimens
Seismic Analysis of the Medieval Military Defence and Sighting Masonry Tower Dona in Italy : Master's Thesis
U ovom radu prikazana je seizmička analiza zidanog tornja primjenom metode konačno-diskretnih elemenata. Toranj je izložen djelovanju linearno rastućeg horizontalnog ubrzanja podloge koristeći zapise tri realna potresa i četiri rubna uvjeta. Potresna otpornost tonja je analizirana na temelju dobivenih rezultata numeričke analize za svaki tip potresa i rubnog uvjeta konstrukcije.This paper presents the seismic analysis of a masonry tower using the finite-discrete element method. The tower was exposed to linearly increasing horizontal base acceleration using records of three real earthquakes. The seismic resistance of the tower was analysed based on the obtained results for each earthquake and type of the support system
Design of the Overpass above Highway : Undergraduate Thesis
U radu je prikazan glavni projekt nadvožnjaka preko autoceste. Nadvožnjak se sastoji od dva jednaka raspona (19 m) i polumontažne je izvedbe. Stup između dva polja projektiran je kao “V” stup. Niveleta nadvožnjaka je oko 7,7 m iznad nivelete autoceste tako da ima dosta prostora za Slobodan profil ispod nadvožnjaka. Projekt sadrži proračun uzdužnog, poprečnog nosača i stupa, te karakteristične građevinske nacrte i tehnički opis.This paper presents the main design of the overpass above highway. The structure is semi prefabricated and it consist of two equal span (19 m). Middle pier is V-shaped. Elevation of the overpass is cca. 7,7 m above highway elevation and therefore leaves enough space for traffic beneath the overpass. The work includes the calculation of the longitudinally, transversely span girders and column, and characteristic construction plans as well as technical description of the construction
Conceptual Project of Local Road : Undergraduate Thesis
Idejni projekt lokalne ceste je izrađen na geodetskoj podlozi, prema zadatku iz kolegija Ceste, koristeći se programom AutoCAD Civil 3D. Cesta je projektirana za godišnji dnevni promet (PGDP) od 950 vozila na dan, na brdovitom terenu. Predviđena projektna brzina ceste je 40 km/h. Idejno rješenje izrađeno je prema Pravilniku i osnovnim uvjetima za projektiranje ceste s elementima koji zadovoljavaju važeće propise, kao i sigurnosne i estetske kriterije.A conceptual project of local road, on a geodetic ground according to the task from course „Roads“, is made using software AutoCAD Civil 3D. The road is designed for the annual average daily traffic (AADT) of 950 vehicles per day, on the hilly terrain. The predicted project speed of the road is 40 miles per hour. Preliminary design of local road was created according to the Regulations on the basic conditions for the design of public roads with the elements that meet the applicable rules, as well as safety and aesthetic criteria
Additive Influence on Concrete Properties Exposed to Fraying : Master's Thesis
Habanje je pojava trošenja materijala. Razlog tome je kretanje različitih promjena opterećenja kod industrijskih podova i kolnika prometnica. Kloridi koji nastaju, a da nisu od utjecaja morske vode su kemijski produkti kao što su zaštita ceste od mraza, kemijski premazi i kloridi koje izlaze iz pokretnih strojeva. Kloridi imaju negativan utjecaj na njihov prodor u cementi kamen koji kao rezultat daje brže trošenje površinske podloge. Cilj je proučiti kako dodatkom kemijskih i mineralnih dodataka se pospješuje otpor na habanje. U ovom će radu biti navedeni faktori koji utječu na otpornost na habanje. Kao rezultat ispitivanja koristit će se šest različitih mješavina koji će nam predočiti pozitivna i negativna svojstva betona na otpornost na habanje.Fraying is the phenomena of the wear material. The reason is moving of the different changes of load at the industrial floors and pavements. Chlorides, which appear and that are not caused by sea water are chemical products, just as the road frost protection, chemical coatings and chlorides which come out from moving vehicles. Chlorides have negative influence on their penetration into the cement stone, which gives faster wearing of surface, as the result. The goal is to study how, chemical additions and mineral additions to speed up fraying resistance. In this paper, listed factors which influence fraying resistance are going to be mentioned. As a testing result, it is going to be used six different mixtures which are going to show positive and negative concrete properties to the fraying resistance
