Main Structural Design Documentation for the "Podstrana Cultural Center" : Master's Thesis
Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je izrada glavnog projekta konstrukcije građevinskog objekta „Centar za kulturu Podstrana“, smještenog na području općine Podstrana. Glavni projekt obuhvaća cjelovitu razradu nosive konstrukcije objekta, u skladu s važećim tehničkim propisima i normama. Sadržaj projekta uključuje tehnički opis konstrukcije, opće i posebne tehničke uvjete izvođenja radova, plan kontrole i osiguranja kvalitete, statički proračun nosivih elemenata konstrukcije, kao i izradu karakterističnih građevinskih nacrta koji prate projektiranu dokumentaciju. Cilj rada je pružiti sveobuhvatno rješenje konstrukcijskog sustava objekta, s posebnim naglaskom na sigurnost, stabilnost i funkcionalnost u skladu s planiranom namjenom građevine.This master’s thesis presents the main structural design project for the building “Cultural Center Podstrana,” located in Podstrana. The design is developed by relevant Croatian legislation and European standards (Eurocodes), and follows the methodology typically applied in structural engineering practice. The scope of the project includes a comprehensive technical description of the structural system, general and specific technical requirements for construction works, a quality control and assurance plan, structural analysis and dimensioning of all primary load-bearing elements, and representative construction drawings like floor plan and characteristic sections. The main objective of the thesis is to provide a safe, functional, and technically sound structural design that meets the architectural and operational requirements of the building, with particular attention to structural integrity, durability, and compliance with applicable regulations
Main Design Project of Residential Building in Žnjan : Master's Thesis
Rad obrađuje glavni projekt stambene zgrade u Splitu. Zgrada se sastoji od jedne podzemne etaže te četiri nadzemne etaže u sklopu kojih se nalazi devet stambenih jedinica. Građevina je projektirana kao armirano betonska konstrukcija s armiranobetonskom temeljnom pločom, zidovima, stupovima, gredama te armiranobetonskim pločama kao međukatnom konstrukcijom. Proračun je proveden prema HRN EN normama. Projekt sadrži: tehnički opis konstrukcije, opće i posebne tehničke uvjete, plan kontrole i osiguranja kvalitete, proračun nosivih konstrukcijskih elemenata te karakteristične građevinske nacrte i armaturne planoveThe thesis deals with the main design project of a residential building located in Split. The building consists of one underground level and four above-ground floors, comprising a total of nine residential units. The structure is designed as a reinforced concrete construction, including a reinforced concrete foundation slab, walls, columns, beams, and reinforced concrete floor slabs as inter-floor structures. The structural analysis was carried out by HRN EN standards. The project includes: a technical description of the structure, general and specific technical requirements, a quality control and assurance plan, structural analysis of load-bearing elements, as well as characteristic construction drawings and reinforcement plans
Numerical Analysis of Laminated Glass Elements Exposed to Bending : Master's Thesis
Ovaj diplomski rad obrađuje problem savijanja laminiranih staklenih nosača različitih poprečnih presjeka. Međusloj nosača načinjen je od polivinilbutirala (PVB-a) koji spada u grupu polimera, pa se provode numeričke analize utjecaja promjene temperature na promjenu njegovih svojstava. Također se analizira i utjecaj različitih uvjeta oslanjanja na raspodjelu naprezanja u elementima. Na kraju se na temelju numeričkih analiza donose zaključci.This thesis deals with the issues that arise when bending laminated glass elements of varying cross-sections. Through numerical analyses, the influence of temperature changes on the properties of the elements' interlayer - the PVB polymer - is examined. Different support conditions with regard to stress distribution within the elements are also analyzed. Finally, conclusions are based on numerical analysis
Rehabilitation Center Kumrovec : Master's Thesis
Tema ovoga rada je prenamjena, sada zapuštene, bivše Političke škole SKJ u Kumrovcu, s ciljem da se uvođenjem nove namjene objekt može aktivirati i sa korištenjem očuvati od daljnjeg propadanja te doprinijeti razvoju lokalne zajednice. Kroz rad je prikazan kratki pregled povijesti objekta, konteksta te analize prostora, sa prikazom izvornog i trenutnog stanja, čime su iskazani uvjeti i prostorne mogućnosti, te na koji način pogoduju novoj namjeni. Kao i prikaz predviđene intervencije i izgradnje. Planirana namjena je centar za edukaciju i rehabilitaciju djece i mladih sa poteškoćama u razvoju, namijenjen za povremeno, dnevno i trajnije korištenje. Na lokaciji koja pruža boravak, pridonosi blagostanju i liječenje u mirnom, tihom, izdvojenom i ugodnom ambijentu, sa vizu rama na zelene brežuljke i doline u svim smjerovima.The topic of this master’s thesis is the conversion of the, now neglected, former SKJ Political School in Kumrovec, with the aim of activating the facility and using it to preserve it from further deterioration and contribute to the development of the local community. The paper presents a brief overview of the history of the former school, its context, and spatial analysis, with an overview of the original and current state, which shows the conditions and spatial possibilities and how they are conducive to the new purpose. As well as a presentation of the planned intervention and construction. The planned conversion is a center for the education and rehabilitation of children and young adults with developed mental disabilities, intended for occasional, daily, and permanent use. In a location that provides accommodation, it contributes to well-being and treatment in a peaceful, quiet, secluded, and pleasant environment, with views of green hills and valleys in all directions

U samom središtu Hrvatskog Prigorja, parcela okružena šumom djeluje pomalo osamljeno, dajući dojam apstraktnog i nedefiniranog prostora. No, umjesto da ostane samo prostor mira i povlačenja, ima potencijal postati mjesto koje okuplja i ujedinjuje zajednicu. Takvo je mjesto idealna pozornica arhitekturi koja bi poticala interakciju i istraživanje te transformaciju apstraktnog prostora u konkretno mjesto koje će stimulirati sva naša osjetila. Arhitektura za konačan cilj ima revitalizaciju sela i obogaćivanje njegovog društvenog života. Ideja ovog projekta zasniva se na duhu prigorskih sela te na revitalizaciji tradicionalnih vrijednosti na način da arhitektura ne narušava prirodu, već ju naglašava te je u skladu s lokalnim karakterom, a istovremeno udomljuje i suvremene potrebe. Samim time, ekoturistički centar osmišljen je kako bi omogućio prodaju, promociju i degustaciju lokalnih proizvoda obližnjih obrtnika, dok istovremeno doprinosi participaciji te dinamici sela kroz raznovrsne sadržaje. Inspiriran raštrkanom strukturom sela, eko-turistički centar koncipiran je kao niz manjih objekata koji oživljavaju tradicijski duh mjesta. Smještajne jedinice
preuzimaju mjerilo okolnih kuća, dok centralni objekt, svojim većim dimenzijama, simbolizira novi sadržaj.In the heart of Croatia's Prigorje region, a plot of land surrounded by forest feels somewhat isolated, giving the impression of an abstract and undefined space. However, rather than remaining just a place of peace and retreat, it has the potential to become a gathering space that unites the community. Such a location is an ideal setting for architecture that encourages interaction and exploration, transforming an abstract space into a concrete place that stimulates all of our senses. The ultimate goal of this architectural project is to revitalize the village and enrich its social life. The concept of this project is based on the spirit of Prigorje's villages, aiming to revive traditional values in a way that architecture does not disrupt nature but enhances it, remaining in harmony with the local character while accommodating contemporary needs. As such, the ecotourism center is designed to facilitate the sale, promotion, and tasting of local products from nearby artisans, while also contributing to the participation and dynamic life of the village through various activities. Inspired by the scattered structure of the village, the eco-tourism center is conceived as a series of smaller buildings that breathe life into the traditional spirit of the area. The accommodation units reflect the scale of the surrounding houses, while the central building, with its larger dimensions, symbolizes new offerings for the community

Analysis of the Impact of the Kaštela-Split Bridge Connection on the Urban Street Network : Master's Thesis
Ovo istraživanje analizira učinke planiranih prometnih intervencija na smanjenje zagušenja i poboljšanje dostupnosti u Splitu. U obzir su uzete postojeće i planirane promjene u prometnoj mreži koje utječu na analizu. Prostorno-prometna studija šireg područja Grada Splita istražuje scenarije za 2030. godinu, s posebnim naglaskom na scenarij P1. Fokus je na analizi dvaju povezanih raskrižja prije i nakon izgradnje mosta preko Kaštelanskog zaljeva. Provedeno je prebrojavanje prometa i analiza u programu SIDRA INTERSECTION 9 prema metodologiji HCM 2010. Na temelju analize predloženo je rješenje s nadvožnjakom na sjevernom raskrižju i denivelacijom Ulice Domovinskog rata ispod dvotračnog kružnog toka prometa na južnom raskrižju. Rekonstrukcija je izrađena u Civil 3D-u i prikazano kroz situaciju i uzdužne presjeke. Predložena rješenja neće u potpunosti eliminirati zagušenja, ali će poboljšati protočnost prometa.This study analyzes the effects of planned traffic interventions on reducing congestion and improving accessibility in Split. Existing and planned changes in the traffic network that influence the analysis have been taken into account. Prostorno-prometna studija šireg područja Grada Splita explores scenarios for the year 2030, with a special focus on Scenario P1. The analysis focuses on two interconnected intersections before and after the construction of a bridge over the Kaštela Bay. Traffic counting and analysis were conducted using the SIDRA INTERSECTION 9 software following the HCM 2010 methodology. Based on the analysis, a solution was proposed featuring an overpass at the northern intersection and the grade separation of Ulica Domovinskog rata beneath a two-lane roundabout at the southern intersection. The reconstruction was designed in Civil 3D and presented through site plans and longitudinal sections. The proposed solutions will not completely eliminate congestion but will improve traffic flow
Structural Behaviour of Point Fixed Connections in Structural Glass : Master's Thesis
Staklo ima veliki potencijal i postalo je vremenon često korišten materijal u građevinarstvu. Tehnološkim razvojem (toplinska obrada i laminacija) pretvoren je u konstrukcijski materijal te ima veliku primjenu u graditeljstvu, posebice u fasadama, ali i upečatljivim arhitektonskim elementima, Kako propisi za projektiranje konstrukcijskih staklenih elemenata nisu u potpunosti definirani, nerijetko se kod izvođenja zahtjevnijih konstrukcija primjenjuje eksperimentalno ispitivanje i detaljna numerička analiza. Jedno takvo ispitivanje je provedeno za elemente fasade Karla Tower-a (Karlatornet) u Gothenburgu. U ovom radu pokazan je utjecaj točkastog pridržanja na stanje naprezanja i deformacija u staklenim elementima fasade, Eskperimentalno isptivianje je provedeno u laboratoriju Građevinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Coimbri. U ovom radu su navedena ispitivanja modelirana u računalnom programu ABAQUS, analizirani različiti utjecaji te pokazana usporedba dobivenih rezultata. Analiza je pokazala da ekscentričnost točke opterećenja i nesavršenosti uzrokovane postupkom laminiranja imaju značajan utjecaj na ponašanje uzorka i raspodjelu naprezanja.Glass has great potential and has become a frequently used material in civil engineering practice over time. Through technological development (heat treatment and lamination), it has been transformed into a structural material and has a wide range of applications in construction, especially in facades, but also in striking architectural elements. Since the regulations for the design of structural glass elements are not fully defined, experimental testing and detailed numerical analysis are often used when implementing more demanding structures. One such test was conducted for the facade elements of the Karla Tower (Karlatornet) in Gothenburg. This thesis shows the influence of point-fixed connections on stress and strain distribution in glass elements of the facade. The experimental test was conducted in the laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Coimbra. In this thesis, the experimental tests are modeled in the ABAQUS computer program, analyzing different influences and presenting a comparison of the obtained results. The analysis showed that the eccentricity of the load point and imperfections caused by the lamination process has a significant impact on the behavior of the sample and the stress distribution
