Sustainable Materials in Construction and Ecological Building : Undergraduate Thesis
Svijet kojeg danas poznajemo izložen je brojnim štetnim djelovanjima, a okoliš je sve više zagađen. Kao posljedica svega toga neizbježne su i klimatske promjene odnosno globalno zatopljenje. Građevinarstvo je industrijska grana koja dosta šteti okolišu i proizvodi dosta otpada. Kako bi se smanjio štetan utjecaj građevinarstva na okoliš, u praksi se sve više počinju koristiti alternativni materijali kao dobra i ekološki prihvatljivija zamjena za tradicionalne materijale. Osim obnovljivih materijala u ovom se radu govori i o ekološkoj gradnji, odnosno gradnji koja za cilj ima uštedu energije, smanjenje otpada i očuvanje okoliša.The world we know today is exposed to numerous harmful effects and pollution of the environment is rapidly increasing. The consequence of all this is the inevitable climate change and global warming. Construction is the industry that damages environment and produces a lot of waste. In order to reduce harmful impact of construction on the environment, alternative materials are increasingly being used in practice as a good and more environment friendly substitute for traditional materials. In addition to renewable materials, this paper also discusses ecological construction, i.e. construction that aims to save energy, reduce waste and preserve the environment
Conceptual Project of Local Road : Undergraduate Thesis
Idejni projekt lokalne ceste je izrađen na geodetskoj podlozi, prema zadatku iz kolegija Ceste, koristeći se programom AutoCAD Civil 3D. Cesta je projektirana za godišnji dnevni promet (PGDP) od 950 vozila na dan, na brdovitom terenu. Predviđena projektna brzina ceste je 40 km/h. Idejno rješenje izrađeno je prema Pravilniku i osnovnim uvjetima za projektiranje ceste s elementima koji zadovoljavaju važeće propise, kao i sigurnosne i estetske kriterije.A conceptual project of local road, on a geodetic ground according to the task from course „Roads“, is made using software AutoCAD Civil 3D. The road is designed for the annual average daily traffic (AADT) of 950 vehicles per day, on the hilly terrain. The predicted project speed of the road is 40 miles per hour. Preliminary design of local road was created according to the Regulations on the basic conditions for the design of public roads with the elements that meet the applicable rules, as well as safety and aesthetic criteria
Design of the Overpass above Highway : Undergraduate Thesis
U radu je prikazan glavni projekt nadvožnjaka preko autoceste. Nadvožnjak se sastoji od dva jednaka raspona (16 m) i polumontažne je izvedbe. Stup između dva polja projektiran je kao “V“ stup. Niveleta nadvožnjaka je oko 8 m iznad nivelete autocete tako da ima dosta prostora za slobodan profil ispod nadvožnjaka. Projekt sadrži proračun uzdužnog, poprečnog nosača i stupa, te krakteristične građevinske nacrte i tehnički opis.This paper presents the main design of the overpass above highway. The structure is semi prefabricated and it consist of two equal span (16 m). Middle pier is V-shaped. Elevation of the overpass is cca 8 m above highway elevation and therefore leaves enough space for traffic beneath the overpass. The work includes the calculation of the longitudinally, transversely span girders and column, and characteristic construction plans as well as technical description of the construction
Detecting Water Loss Leaks in Large Shallow Reservoirs Using Tracers: Laboratory Experiments : Master's Thesis
Prioritet ovog rada je evaluacija metoda praćenja koje se koriste u svrhu otkrivanja točke propusnosti u plitkim rezervoarima vode. Gubitak vode koji se pokazuje na velikoj prostornoj razini kroz istjecanje, curenje ili duboku perkolaciju, treba istražiti simulacijom okoliša i uvjeta koji dovode do toga. U opisu procesa i tehnika praćenja uključenih u eksperiment korištena je literatura o metodologijama i strujanju plitkih voda od raznih autora značajnih za naš rad. Fizikalni model postavljen je u laboratoriju, a sastoji se od sustava za unos vode i zemljanog kanala s površinom od 2x2 m. Ciljevi obuhvaćaju kvalitativnu i kvantitativnu procjenu plitkog toka površinske vode i kretanja trasera prema točki propusnosti, kao rezultat korištenja određene tehnike praćenja. S obzirom na ciljeve, eksperimentalni postupak je podijeljen na fazu navodnjavanja i detekciju. Konstantno ravnomjerno pražnjenje korišteno je za pretapanje kanala, za rekonstrukciju prirodnih uvjeta plitkog protoka, a dvostruki traser toplinske boje ubrizgan je kroz čaše za procjenu brzina protoka. Definirana su i modificirana tri parametra za način istraživanja detekcije točke propusnosti kroz više eksperimentalnih pokusa. Toplinski traser odabran je kao predstavnik za sve pokuse zbog raspoložive opreme i kvalitete slike. Rezultati prikupljeni eksperimentalnom analizom pomogli su u raspravi o prednostima i slabostima ove vrste eksperimentalnog pristupa. U slučaju poplave, empirijski podaci poslužili su kao sredstvo za istraživanje kretanja plitke vode preko gole površine koja služi kao pozadina za tehnike praćenja. Uspoređeni su različiti rezultati detekcije točke propusnosti, a najpovoljniji i najnepovoljniji rezultati uzeti su kao reprezentativni za termalnu tehniku praćenjaThis work is prioritized on evaluating tracer methods that are used for the purpose of detecting the drainage point in shallow water reservoirs. Water loss exhibited on a large spatial scale through leakage, seepage, or deep percolation, needs to be researched by simulating the environment and conditions that lead up to it. Literature on methodologies and shallow water flow from various authors significant to our work was used in the description of the processes and tracing techniques involved in our experiment. A physical-based model was set up in a laboratory setting, consisting of a water input system and a soil flume with a 2x2 m area space. Objectives comprise a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the shallow surface water flow and tracer movement towards the sink point, as a result of using an appointed tracing technique. In regards to the goals, the experimental proceeding was divided into the flooding and detection phases. A constant steady discharge was used to flood the flume, for the re-enactment of natural shallow flow conditions, and a dual thermal-dye tracer was injected through cups for estimating flow velocities. Three parameters were defined and modified, for the means of investigating the detection of the sink point, through multiple experimental trials. Thermal tracer was chosen as a representative for all of the experiments due to the available equipment and image quality. Results gathered from the experimental analysis helped discuss the merits and weaknesses of this kind of experimental approach. In the case of flooding, the empirical data served as a means to investigate the shallow water movement across the barren surface that serves as a background for tracer techniques. Renovation Planning of Flat Roofs on Public Buildings with Multicriteria Assessment : Master's Thesis
U ovom diplomskom radu oblikovan je koncept za podršku odlučivanju u planiranju obnove krovova javnih zgrada. Analizirano je sedam krovova, konkretno na primjeru zgrade Fakulteta građevinarstva, arhitekture i geodezije u Splitu te su procijenjena njihova stanja. Uspostavljena je hijerarhijska struktura ciljeva za analizirani problem, definirani su kriteriji i njihove težine uz uvažavanje stavova svih dionika (projektanta, korisnika i izvođača radova). Analizirani krovovi vrednovani su po svim kriterijima te su uspoređeni metodom PROMETHEE, nakon čega je uspostavljena rang lista krovova prema prioritetu za obnovu. Također, napravljen je financijski plan prema metodi PROMETHEE V koji se bazira na cjelobrojnom linearnom programiranju kojom smo odredili koliko i koji krovovi će se obnavljati u jednoj godini te je odabrana optimalna varijanta. Odabrana varijanta predstavlja plan obnove te su temeljem tih rezultata doneseni zaključci.This graduate thesis describes a concept of support for planning the renovation of the roofs of public buildings. Seven roofs were analysed, specifically on the example of the building of the Faculty of civil engineering, architecture and geodesy in Split and their conditions were assessed. A hierarchical structure for the analysed problem was established, criteria and their relative importance was also defined, taking into account the views of all stakeholders (designer, users and contractor). The analysed roofs were evaluated according to all criteria and were compared using the PROMETHEE method, after which a ranking list of roofs was established according to priority for renovation. Also, a financial plan was made according to the PROMETHEE V method, which is based on integer linear programming, by which we determined how many and which roofs will be renovated in one year, and the optimal variant was selected. The selected variant represents the reconstruction plan, and conclusions were drawn based on these results

Obavljen je proračun za dva otvorena spremnika s preljevom koja su povezana kratkom cijevi. Površina u oba spremnika se mijenja ovisno o geodetskim kotama u spremnicima, a vodostaji se mijenjaju istjecanjem vode iz spremnika 1 i dotjecanjem u spremnik 2, te prelijevanjem viška vode preko preljevnog praga u oba spremnika. The surface of both tanks changes depending on the geodetic boilers in the tanks, and the water levels change by the outflow of water from the tank 1 and the inflow into the tank 2, and the overflow of excess water over the overflow threshold in both tanks. Basic Statistical Processing of Daily, Monthly and Annual Flows and Creation of the Recession Curve : Undergraduate Thesis
U radu je izvršena analiza protoka na dnevnoj, mjesečnoj i godišnjoj razini, napravljeni su hidrogrami, određeni su koeficijenti recesije i na temelju toga napravljene krivulje recesije za svaku godinu. Pobliže se upoznamo s vrstom reljefa tog krškog izvora i polja oko izvora. Nakon toga upoznajemo se s karakteristikama izvora Rumin Veliki. Definiramo protok te objašnjavamo zašto je mjerenje protoka toliko bitno i koje su najefektivnije metode za računanje protoka. We define flow and explain why flow measurement is so important and what are the most effective methods for calculating flow. We analyze in detail the minimum, maximum, and average monthly and annual flows. After that, we begin to calculate. We determine the area of the graph that is in recession. Then we calculate the recession coefficient by converting the recession area graph to a semi-logarithmic scale. Once we have determined the recession coefficient, we can create a recession curve
