    Kroz temu odabranog područja analizirana je geneza Milne kroz prizmu odnosa s industrijom. Iščitale su se jasne faze razvoja mjesta i urbanizma koje su uvije bile vezane uz razvoj privrede. Na mjestu nekadašnje tvornice ribe projektira se tradicionalno brodogradilište, uljara, marina i jedriličarski klub koji bi na tom mjestu koegzistirali zajedno s nautičkim turistima i sezonskim radnicima.Through the topic of the selected research area, the genesis of Milna was analyzed through the prism of relations with industry. The clear stages of the development of the area and urbanism, which have always been connected to the economic development of Milna, were shown. A traditional shipyard, oil mill, marina and sailing club are being designed on the former fish factory, which would co-exist with nautical tourists and seasonal workers

    Jasan pokazatelj nekonzistencije elemenata horizontalnog toka trase jest gubitak poprečne stabilnosti vozila u horizontalnim krivinama koji se najjednostavnije može opisati konceptom margine sigurnosti. U doktorskoj disertaciji iznesen je pregled aktualnih smjernica za projektiranje horizontalnog toka trase te najvažnijih istraživanja vezanih za koncept konzistencije toka trase. Pritom su uočene sljedeće značajne manjkavosti postojećih procedura: odabir nerealnih mjerodavnih brzina, pretpostavka da polumjer putanje vozila odgovara projektiranoj vrijednosti te primjena suviše jednostavnog modela vozila, odnosno osnovnog modela materijalne točke. Kao odgovor na uočene nedostatke, osmišljen je novi pristup u projektiranju konzistentnog toka trase, s naglaskom na horizontalne krivine. Novi pristup zasnovan je na konceptu margine sigurnosti, a unapređenje se odnosi na primjenu bicikl-modela vozila u kombinaciji s korištenjem realnijih vrijednosti brzina i polumjera putanje vozila. Bicikl-model vozila omogućuje razmatranje prijenosa opterećenja na pojedine osovine uslijed uzdužnog nagiba i promjene brzine, odnosno čimbenika koji utječu na marginu sigurnosti, a koji su do sada korištenim modelom materijalne točke u potpunosti zanemarivani. U svrhu određivanja parametara stvarnog ponašanja vozača, provedeno je eksperimentalno istraživanje na dionici vangradske dvotračne ceste DC1 (Hrvatska), u sklopu kojega su uz primjenu visokofrekventnog GPS uređaja snimane brzine i polumjeri putanja vozila reprezentativnog uzorka vozača. Temeljem provedenih analiza snimljenih podataka, predložena je implementacija stvarnog ponašanja vozača u postupak projektiranja kroz razvijene regresijske modele operativnih brzina (za pravce i horizontalne krivine) te utvrđen izraz za izračun kritičnog polumjera putanje vozila. Razradom unaprijeđenog koncepta margine sigurnosti stvorena je osnova za projektiranje krivina visoke razine sigurnosti, kako za vrijednosti raspoloživog trenja na suvremenim kolnicima, tako i za buduća mjerenja. Temeljem kriterija konzistencije operativne brzine i unaprijeđenog kriterija konzistencije dinamike vožnje, definirani su dijagrami primjenjivih polumjera susjednih krivina. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju na potrebu za povećanjem vrijednosti najmanjeg polumjera horizontalne krivine te je, u konačnici, provedenom analizom postignuto fizikalno objašnjenje najčešćih uzroka prometnih nesreća u oštrim krivinama.The loss of vehicle stability in horizontal curves is a clear indicator of horizontal alignment design inconsistency, which can easily be quantified by determining the margins of safety. The doctoral thesis presents an overview of current horizontal alignment design guidelines and most important research of the design consistency concept. The following significant shortcomings in current road design practice were noticed: selection of unrealistic relevant speeds, the assumption that drivers follow a path with a radius equal to curve radius and the application of too simple vehicle model, i.e. basic point mass model. To overcome the observed limitations, the new consistent design approach has been developed, with an emphasis on horizontal curves. The new approach is based on the margin of safety concept, improved in terms of using the bicycle vehicle model in combination with more realistic values of speed and vehicle path radii. The bicycle vehicle model considers longitudinal load transfer, on individual axles, due to grade and speed changes, i.e. factors affecting margins of safety that are completely ignored by the simple point mass model used so far. To collect the driver behaviour data, an experimental investigation was conducted on a segment of the two-lane state road DC1 (Croatia). Individual speeds and vehicle path radii achieved by representative sample of drivers were recorded with a highfrequency GPS device. Based on the analysis of recorded data, the implementation of naturalistic driver behaviour in the road design process is proposed through regression models for predicting operating speeds (for tangents and horizontal curves) and through the equation for calculating the critical path radius. The improvement of the safety margin concept has created the basis for designing horizontal curves with high level of safety, both for the values of available friction on modern pavements as well as for future measurements. Based on operating speed consistency criterion and improved safety criterion related to driving dynamic consistency, the graphs of applicable adjacent horizontal curve radii were developed. The results obtained showed that the values of minimum horizontal curve radii need to be increased and, finally, this analysis has provided a physical explanation of the most common causes of accidents in sharp horizontal curves
