Duration and Frequency Curves During Recessionary Periods : Undergraduate Thesis
Opis zadatka: U ovom završnom radu na temelju danih hidroloških podataka izdvojena su sva recesijska razdoblja za 4 godine, određeno je njihovo trajanje, te u navedenim razdobljima prikazani su intervali oborina i njihove sumarne vrijednosti. Prikazani su osnovni pojmovi krša, tečenja u kršu, krivulje trajanja protoka, krivulje učestalosti i recesijski dio hidrograma.In this master's thesis, based on the provided hydrological data, all recession periods for a span of 4 years were identified. Their duration was determined, and within these periods, intervals of precipitation and their cumulative values were presented. The fundamental concepts of karst, karst flow, flow duration curves, frequency curves, and the recession limb of the hydrograph were also showcased
Improvement of guidelines for the design of rural roads from aspects of traffic safety
Poboljšanje sigurnosti prometa na cestama, odnosno smanjenje broja nesreća, posebice onih s teškim posljedicama, jedna je od najznačajnijih aktivnosti u razvijenijim zemljama Europske unije. U članku se prvo opisuje sustav predloženih mjera provjere cestovne sigurnosti za područje jugoistočne Europe. Temeljem iskustva u provedbi revizija i inspekcija sigurnosti na autocestama i magistralnim cestama u Bosni i Hercegovini daju se preporuke za unaprjeđenje pojedinih odredbi postojećeg Pravilnika o osnovnim uvjetima kojima javne ceste izvan naselja i njihovi elementi moraju udovoljavati sa stajališta sigurnosti prometa. Posebno je istaknuta potreba točnijeg i detaljnijeg definiranja pojedinih elemenata geometrije u fazi projektiranja kako bi se u fazi eksploatacije izbjegle neophodne intervencije za poboljšanje sigurnosti.Improving road traffic safety, or reducing the number of accidents, especially those with serious consequences, is one of the most important activities in developed countries in the European Union. The article first describes the system of proposed road safety verification measures for Southeast Europe. Based on the experience gained in the implementation of safety audits and inspections on motorways and main roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recommendations for the improvement of certain stipulations of the existing Regulation on the basic conditions that public roads outside settlements and their elements must meet from the point of view of traffic safety are given. The need for a more accurate and detailed definition of elements of cross section and horizontal and vertical alignment in the design phase was particularly highlighted in order to avoid the necessary interventions to improve safety in the exploitation phase
Design of the Overpass above Highway : Undergraduate Thesis
U radu je prikazan glavni projekt nadvožnjaka preko autoceste. Nadvožnjak se sastoji od dva jednaka raspona (20 m) i polumontažne je izvedbe. Stup između dva polja projektiran je kao “V“ stup. Niveleta nadvožnjaka je oko 7.8 m iznad nivelete autoceste tako da ima dosta prostora za slobodan profil ispod nadvožnjaka. Projekt sadrži proračun uzdužnog, poprečnog nosača i stupa, te karakteristične građevinske nacrte i tehnički opis.This paper presents the main design of the overpass above the highway. The structure is semi prefabricated and it consists of two equal spans (20 m). The middle pier is V-shaped. Elevation of the overpass is cca 7.8 m above highway elevation and therefore leaves enough space for traffic beneath the overpass. The work includes the calculation of the longitudinal, and transversely span girders and column, and characteristic construction plans as well as a technical description of the construction

Na temelju zadanih podataka dimenzioniramo elemente glavne nosive konstrukcije, sekundarne nosače, spregove, spojeve i temelj čelične konstrukcije. Objekt se nalazi na području grada Rijeke. Proračun je proveden na temelju graničnog stanja nosivosti (GSN) i graničnog stanja uporabivosti (GSU). Za potrebe proračuna korišten je računalni program „SCIA Engineer 21.1“. Svi elementi dimenzionirani su prema najkritičnijoj mjerodavnoj kombinaciji za svaki element posebno. Nakon dimenzioniranja izrađeni su svi potrebni nacrti.Based on the given data, we dimension the elements of the main load-bearing structure, secondary supports, couplings, connections, and the foundation of the steel structure. The facility is located in the area of the city of Rijeka. The calculation was carried out on the basis of the limit state of bearing capacity (LSS) and the limit state of serviceability (LSS). Numerical modeling of time-dependent deformations of concrete at 3D analysis of structures : doctoral thesis
Beton je materijal čije je ponašanje izrazito nelinearno. Usporedno s tim, u betonu se javlja i niz sekundarnih efekata, kao što su starenje, skupljanje i puzanje betona, koji dodatno otežavaju realnu simulaciju armiranobetonskih i prenapetih konstrukcija. U moderno vrijeme, zbog sve smjelije gradnje, sve većih raspona i stremljenja u vis, potreba za realnom simulacijom ponašanja betonskih konstrukcija u uvjetima raznih vrsta opterećenja, postaje sve izraženija. S druge strane javlja se potreba za modelima koji s malim brojem realno uvjetovanih parametara mogu što vjernije opisati stvarno ponašanje betona. Jedan takav model uzet je kao osnova za ovaj rad, a to je prethodno razvijeni model, Precon 3D, koji se zasniva na malom broju parametara a dokazano može vrlo dobro opisati ponašanje betonskih, armiranobetonskih i prednapetih konstrukcija za kratkotrajna statička opterećenja. Kroz ovaj rad numerički model Precon 3D je nadograđen modelom za praćenje ponašanja betona tijekom vremena, tj. model je nadograđen modelom puzanja i skupljanja betona, što je neophodno za praćenje ponašanja prednapetih konstrukcija. Razvijeni software je testiran na više eksperimentalnih primjera iz literature, pri čemu je uočeno vrlo dobro podudaranje numeričkih i eksperimentalnih rezultata.Concrete is a material with highly nonlinear behavior. In parallel, there are numerous secondary effects in concrete, such as aging, shrinkage, and creep, which further complicate the realistic simulation of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structures. In modern times, due to bolder construction, increasing spans and high rising construction, the need for realistic simulation of the behavior of concrete structures under conditions of various types of loads is becoming more pronounced. On the other hand, models with a small number of real-life parameters that can describe the actual behavior of concrete as accurately as possible are necessary. One such model, the previously developed model Precon 3D, which is based on a small number of parameters and can very well describe the behavior of concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed structures for short-term static loads was taken as the basis for this work. Through this work, the numerical model Precon 3D has been upgraded with a model for following the behavior of concrete during time, i.e. the model has been upgraded with a model of creep and shrinkage of concrete, which is necessary for following the behavior of prestressed structures. The developed software has been tested against several experimental examples from the literature, with a very good match between numerical and experimental results
The Main Project of the Primary and Secondary Breakwater of the Port of Krilo Jesenice : Master's Thesis
U ovom radu obrađena je tema stabilonosti već postojećih lukobrana na predmetnoj lokaciji u lučici Krila Jesenice. Prikazana je analiza statičke i seizmičke stabilnosti koji nisu zadovoljavali granična stanja nosivosti ni uporabljivosti te je predloženo rješenje u vidu sanacije. Prikazani su rezultati analize nakon što se u obzir uzeo utjecaj sanacije te se dao prijedlog o prihvaćanju iste.In this diploma thesis, the topic of stability of already existing breakwaters at the location in question in the port of Krilo Jesenice is covered. An analysis of static and seismic stability was presented, and it did not satisfy limit states of load capacity and serviceability so a solution in the form of rehabilitation is proposed. The results of the analysis after the impact of the rehabilitation were shown and a proposal was made to accept it

U ovom radu smo odabrali najprihvatljivije rješenje zbrinjavanja septički jama na otoku Braču. Izbor rješenja će se provesti višekriterijalnom analizom. Izbor kriterija za rangiranje alternativnih rješenja odredit će se uvažavajući smjernice strategije kružnog gospodarstva te druge smjernice za zbrinjavanje mulja.In this paper we choose the most acceptable solution for septic tank disposal on the island of Brač. Choice of solutions will be implemented by multi-criteria analysis. Selection of criteria for ranking alternative solutions will be based on the guidelines of the circular economy strategy and other sludge management guidelines
