The Influence of Mineral Additives on the Properties of Concrete with High Performance Properties : Master's Thesis
Beton ultravisokih performansi je superplastificirana smjesa silicijevog dioksida i cementa s vrlo niskim vodocementnim omjerom, koju karakterizira prisutnost finog kvarcnog pijeska. Postiže tlačne čvrstoće veće od 200 MPa te izvrsnu izdržljivost. Njegova proizvodnja zahtjeva veliku količinu cementa, koja se smanjuje upotrebom mineralnih dodataka. Upotrebom velikih količina vrlo finih mineralnih dodataka, kao što su silikatna prašina i metakaolin postiže se vrlo visoka čvrstoća i trajnost u betonu ultravisokih performansi što je povezano s vrlo gustom matricom.Ultra-high-performance concrete is a superplasticized mixture of silica and cement with a very low water-cement ratio, characterized by the presence of fine quartz sand. It achieves compressive strength greater than 200 MPa and excellent durability. Its production requires a large amount of cement, which is reduced by the use of mineral additives. The use of large amounts of very fine mineral additives, such as silicate dust and metakaolin, achieves very high strength and durability in ultra-high-performance concrete, which is associated with a very dense matrix
The influence of humidity and the firing process on the protection of solid brick from electromagnetic nonionizing radiation
U današnjem modernom svijetu umjetni izvori neionizirajućeg elektromagnetskog zračenja postali su neizostavan dio naših života. Pitanje potencijalne zdravstvene ugroženosti prilikom izlaganja takvoj vrsti zračenja ostaje tema rasprave među znanstvenicima. U ovom radu analizira se utjecaj pečenja opeke i povećanja vlage u punoj opeci na rezultate zaštite od elektromagnetskog zračenja pri frekvencijama od 1.5 GHz do 6 GHz. Rezultati su pokazali kako vlažna opeka ima veliku sposobnost prigušenja elektromagnetskog zračenja, dok se sušenjem i pečenjem zaštita smanjuje. Dodavanje vlage u materijal povećalo je elektromagnetsku zaštitu, dok je pečenje rezultiralo njezinim smanjenjem. Rezultati su u suglasju s literaturom gdje je električna vodljivost materijala ključni faktor u elektromagnetskoj zaštiti. Ovaj rad pruža dodatno razumijevanje utjecaja vlage i pečenja na elektromagnetsku zaštitu materijala što može biti korisno za projektiranje nosivih konstrukcijskih elemenata s visokom učinkovitošću zaštite od elektromagnetskog zračenja.In today's modern world, artificial sources of nonionizing electromagnetic radiation have become an indispensable part of our lives. The issue of potential health risks from exposure to this type of radiation remains a topic of discussion among scientists. In this paper, the influence of brick firing and the increase in humidity in solid bricks on the results of protection against EM radiation is analyzed at frequencies from 1.5 GHz to 6 GHz. Wet brick has the greatest ability to attenuate electromagnetic radiation, while drying and firing reduce this protection. Results showed that adding moisture to the material increased the electromagnetic shielding, while firing resulted in decreased shielding. The results are in agreement with the literature, where the electrical conductivity of the material is a key factor in electromagnetic protection. This work provides additional understanding of the influence of moisture and firing on the electromagnetic shielding of materials, which can be useful for the design of load-bearing structural elements with high efficiency shielding from electromagnetic radiation
Calculation of the Masonry Residential Building : Master's Thesis
U radu je prikazan proračun stambene zgrade s konstruktivnim sustavom od armiranobetonskih zidova i elemenata u garaži i prizemlju te zidanih zidova(omeđenog ziđa). Potresna otpornost konstrukcije određena je u računalnom programu Scia Engineer i nelinearnim statičkim proračunom koristeći metodu naguravanja. Proveden je i proračun konstruktivnih elemenata uslijed vertikalnog i potresnog djelovanja. Proračunom su dobivene rezne sile u elementima konstrukcije koji su sukladno tome armirani.The thesis of this graduate work is the calculation of a residential building with a constructive system of reinforced concrete walls and elements in the garage and ground floor and masonry walls (bordered masonry). The earthquake resistance of the structure was determined in the Scia Engineer computer program and the nonlinear static calculation using the cramming method. The calculation of structural elements due to vertical and seismic action was also carried out. The calculation resulted in cutting forces in the elements of the structure, which were reinforced accordingly
Numerical calculations for fluid-structure interaction
U ovom radu prikazan je ukratko numerički pristup međudjelovanja fluida i konstrukcije. Fundamentalne razlike njihovih matematičkih modela podrazumijevaju razvijanje odvojenog modula interakcije čija je funkcija povezivanje opterećenja uzrokovanog strujanjem fluida i naprezanja u konstrukciji. Ovaj rad naglasak će staviti na dvije osnovne vrste međudjelovanja: kvazi-statičku (jednosmjernu) i dinamičku (dvosmjernu). Kvazi-statički pristup povezuje isključivo polje tlaka tj. opterećenje s modelom konstrukcije, dok dinamički pristup uzima u obzir pomak konstrukcije unutar domene fluida i samu inerciju konstrukcije. Numerički model fluida temelji se na Računalnoj Dinamici Fluida (RDF) i diskretizaciji domene metodom konačnih volumena, a programski paket korišten pri proračunu je OpenFOAM, programski kod otvorenog tipa (eng. open-source). Za model konstrukcije je korištena dobro poznata Metoda Konačnih Elemenata (MKE) koristeći programski paket NASTRAN. Poveznica između dva modela razvijena je koristeći programski jezik C++.In this work, a numerical fluid-structure interaction model is briefly presented. Fundamental differences between their mathematical models require the development of a separate interface whose function is to connect the loads applied by the fluid flow and the stresses exhibited by the structure. This paper is focused on two main types of interactions: quasi-static (one-way) and dynamic (two-way). The quasi-static approach links the fluid pressure field, i.e. loading with the structural model, while the dynamic approach includes both the structural motions inside the fluid domain and the structural inertia. The numerical fluid model is based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with finite volume discretization, and the software used for the study is the open-source framework OpenFOAM. For the structural model, a wellknown finite element method is employed using the solver NASTRAN. The interface between the two programs is developed using the programming language C++
Design of the Overpass above Highway : Undergraduate Thesis
U radu je prikazan glavni projekt nadvožnjaka preko autoceste. Nadvožnjak se sastoji od dva jednaka raspona (20 m) i polumontažne je izvedbe. Stup između dva polja projektiran je kao ''V'' stup. Niveleta nadvožnjaka je oko 8 m iznad nivelete autoceste tako da ima dosta prostora za slobodan profil ispod nadvožnjaka. Projekt sadrži proračun uzdužnog, poprečnog nosača i stupa, te karakteristične građevinske nacrte i tehnički opis.This paper presents the main design of the overpass above the highway. The structure is semi prefabricated and it consists of two equal spans (20 m). The middle pier is V-shaped. Elevation of the overpass is cca. 8 m above highway elevation and therefore leaves enough space for traffic beneath the overpass. The work includes the calculation of the longitudinaly, transversely spam griders and column, and characteristic construction plans as well as a technical description of the construction

Calculation of the Building with Combined Constructive System - Masonry and Reinforced Concrete Construction : Master's Thesis
U radu je prikazan proračun zgrade s mješovitim konstruktivnim sustavom od zidanih i armirano betonskih zidova. Potresna otpornost konstrukcije određena je pushover metodom, a potom je uspoređena sa modelom napravljenim u računalnom paketu Scia Engineer. Proveden je proračun i analiza svih konstruktivnih elemenata uslijed vertikalnog opterećenja. Proračunom su dobivene rezne sile u elementima konstrukcije te je odabrana potrebna armatura istih.The paper presents the calculation of a building with a mixed structural system of masonry and reinforced concrete walls. The seismic resistance of the structure was determined using the pushover method and compared with a model created in the Scia Engineer software. The calculation and analysis of all structural elements under vertical action were performed. The calculation yielded the internal forces in the structural elements, and the required reinforcement for these elements was selected

Završni rad na temu ''Proračun drvene konstrukcije rešetkastog krovišta'' analizira nosivu konstrukciju i spojeve za konstrukciju raspona 17 x 52,0 m u Splitu. Na konstrukciju djeluju stalna opterećenja kao i promjenjiva, poput snijega i vjetra. U radu su detaljno opisani postupci dimenzioniranja nosive konstrukcije i spojeva. Kroz provedenu kontrolu graničnog stanja nosivosti i uporabljivosti, utvrđena je usklađenost kontrukcije s propisanim zahtjevima EC5. Posebna pažnja posvećena je proračunu nosivosti konstrukcije i spojeva na požar od 30 minuta. Na kraju, izrađeni su nacrti i detalji spojeva konstrukcije.The final thesis on the topic of calculating a timber structure of a truss roof analyzes the load-bearing structure and connections for a span of 17x52,0 m in Split. The structure is subjected to both permanent loads and variable loads, such as snow and wind. The thesis provides a detailed description of the procuders for dimensioning the load-bearing structure and joints. Through a conducted verification of the ultimate limit state and seviceability, the compliance of the structure with the prescribed requirements of EC5 has been established. Special attention is given to the calculation of the load-bearing capacity of the structure and joints in 30-minute fire scenatio. At the end, drawings and details of structural joints were made

Kroz provedenu kontrolu graničnog stanja nosivosti i uporabljivosti, utvrđena je usklađenost kontrukcije s propisanim zahtjevima EC5. Posebna pažnja posvećena je proračunu nosivosti konstrukcije i spojeva na požar od 30 minuta.
