MODELIRANJE UTJECAJA KVALITETE USLUGE NA ZADOVOLJSTVO KORISNIKA U ZRAČNOM PRIJEVOZU PRIMJENOM LOGISTIČKE REGRESIJE
This study examines how various dimensions of service quality influence passenger satisfaction in air transport, applying binary logistic regression to quantify the contribution of individual service attributes. The analysis includes Online Boarding, Seat Comfort, Legroom Service, Inflight Entertainment, Inflight Wi-Fi Service, Check-in Service, Baggage Handling, Food and Drink, Gate Location, and On-board Service. The results show that Online Boarding, Legroom Service, Inflight Entertainment, and On-board Service have the strongest association with satisfaction, while Food and Drink, Gate Location, and Baggage Handling exhibit smaller but statistically significant effects. Although the model demonstrates overall stability, its accuracy is lower among passengers with extremely positive or negative evaluations. Future research should integrate additional explanatory variables and advanced analytical techniques to improve predictive performance.U istraživanju se analizira kako različite dimenzije kvalitete usluge utječu na zadovoljstvo putnika u zračnom prijevozu primjenom binarne logističke regresije za kvantificiranje doprinosa pojedinih atributa usluge. Analiza obuhvaća online ukrcaj, udobnost sjedala, prostor za noge, zabavu tijekom leta, Wi-Fi uslugu u letu, uslugu prijave, rukovanje prtljagom, ponudu hrane i pića, lokaciju izlaza i uslugu osoblja u zrakoplovu.
THE ROLE OF FIRM SIZE IN SHAPING CAPITAL STRUCTURE: AN ANALYSIS OF FIRMS FROM CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE
Istraživanje analizira utjecaj poduzeću specifičnih, makroekonomskih i institucionalnih čimbenika na strukturu kapitala poduzeća različite veličine u odabranim zemljama srednje i istočne Europe. This study examines the impact of firm-specific, macroeconomic, and institutional factors on the capital structure of firms of different sizes in selected Central and Eastern European countries. The empirical analysis applies the generalized estimating equations (GEE) method to a panel of 8,695 firms in the wholesale and retail trade sector over the period 2016–2023. The results show that profitability reduces leverage across all groups of firms, while growth and size increase the propensity to use debt. Asset structure is significant only for small firms, where tangible assets serve as key collateral, while non-debt tax shields reduce leverage. Macroeconomic and institutional factors exhibit selective effects: GDP growth and banking sector concentration significantly influence borrowing decisions of small and medium-sized firms, but are not statistically significant for large firms. The findings also highlight cross-country differences: firms in Hungary and Slovenia show lower leverage compared to Croatia, while firms in Slovakia are more indebted. Overall, the results confirm that a combination of firm-specific, macroeconomic, and institutional factors shapes capital structure, with heterogeneous effects depending on firm size. The study underscores the need for tailored financial policies for small and medium-sized firms and provides guidance for managers, financial institutions, and policymakers
Estimation of heritability for early weights in Santa Inés sheep from Brazil and Colombia
Knowing the heritable fraction of productive traits, such as birth weight and weaning weight, is an indispensable tool for selecting animals with higher genetic merit, facilitating decision-making in crossbreeding programmes. This study aimed to genetically evaluate populations of Santa Inés sheep in Brazil and Colombia using Bayesian inference analysis. The study was conducted using information from three sheep farms. The first was located in the Municipality of La Ceja, Antioquia (Colombia), the second in the municipality of Barbosa, Antioquia (Colombia), and the third in the municipality of Campo Santana (Brazil). The model included the additive genetic effect and maternal genetic effect, and considered sex, delivery type, and contemporary group as fixed effects. Components of variance and genetic parameters were estimated. The mean and standard deviation for birth weight (BW) and weaning weight adjusted to 90 days (WW90) were 3.36 kilograms (kg) ± 0.8 and 3.19 kg ± 0.861 for Brazil, and 7.76 kg ± 4.76 and 20.18 kg ± 5.31 for Colombia. The mean of direct heritability (h²d) of BW and WW90 was 0.31 and 0.27 for Brazil, and 0.61 and 0.30 for Colombia. It can be concluded that it is essential to keep accurate records at all sheep farms to ensure a good selection of animals for breeding programmes, to ensure animals with greater genetic and productive potential
A hybrid approach to approximate the Pareto front of the MOST problem
This study introduces a hybrid NSGA-II algorithm with Multi-VNS for approximating the Pareto front of the multi-objective spanning tree (MOST) problem, building on recent approaches that have adapted NSGA-II combined with local search heuristics. By exploiting the property that a spanning tree is acyclic and that the addition of an edge generates a unique cycle, our mutation operator adds edges to a given spanning tree of a connected graph , thereby reducing the size of the MOST problem. By applying the exact mutation operator with low probability, this reduced problem is solved, producing a set of mutant solutions. The NSGA-II selection operator then approximates the Pareto front, which is further refined by a Multi-VNS metaheuristic to balance diversification and intensification. Comparative experiments with both exact and approximate methods demonstrate promising results
Sacred Space Through History: The Fundamental Theological Elements and Essential Content of Liturgical Space
U ovom radu autor analizira dinamiku sakralnoga prostora i umjetničkih djela
u crkvama kroz povijest i danas s teološko–liturgijske i kulturno–povijesne perspektive.
U prvom dijelu donosi artikulaciju “modela” crkvenoga prostora ističući
njegove teološke, stilske i kulturološke odrednice u skladu s povijesnim epohama.
Drugi dio članka posvećen je razmatranju temeljnih teoloških odrednica
bogoslužnoga prostora — kristoloških, eklezioloških i liturgijskih — čiji je temelj
saborski nauk o liturgiji sadržan u konstituciji Sacrosanctum concilium.
očituje i ostvaruje susret i zajedništvo Krista i njegove Crkve. In this article the author analyzes the dynamics of sacred space and art in churches
throughout history and also today from a theological–liturgical and cultural–
historical perspective. The first part presents an articulation of „models“ of church
space, highlighting their theological, stylistic and cultural foundations in accordance with historical epochs. The second part of the article is dedicated to the consideration
of the fundamental theological determinants of worship space — christological,
ecclesiological and liturgical — the basis of which is the teaching of the Council
contained in the Constitution „Sacrosanctum Concilium“. The third part presents
and discusses the question of works of art for liturgical space. The aim is the search
for harmony between art and architecture in the service of the liturgy which opens
the space for the active participation of the faithful and the articulation of liturgical
celebration which fully manifests and accomplishes the encounter and communion
between Christ and His Church
From Terracotta Figurines to Bhārat Mātā: A Brief History of Śaktism, the Longest–Lasting Worship of the Divine Feminine Principle
povezuju sa štovanjem boginje u hinduizmu.Śaktism is goddess worship in Hinduism and is the longest–standing worship of the
divine feminine principle, a form of worship that has endured for 4,000 years. The
first indications of such worship date back to the Indus Valley Civilization and are
evident in ancient terracotta figurines and seals with female figures. Goddess worship
in India endures to this day and has developed into various forms. Today, perhaps
the most prominent is the goddess Bhārat Mātā, Mother India. In order to present
this abiding and exceptionally rich tradition of worship of the feminine principle,
this paper presents a brief overview of the history of goddess worship in India in
five stages: (1) the beginnings of the worship of the feminine principle in the Indus
Valley Civilization, (2) goddesses in the Vedas with an emphasis on Devīsūkta, (3)
the fundamental scriptures of Śaktism , that is, Devīmāhātmya and Devībhāgavata
purāṇa, (4) tantric Śaktism, and (5) political Śaktism. Also, the paper explains the
terms śakti, prakṛti and māyā as basic concepts associated with goddess worship in
Hinduism
RAZUMIJEVANJE STRATEŠKE ULOGE NADZORNIH ODBORA: PERSPEKTIVA GRUPNE DINAMIKE
This paper examines how boardroom dynamics influence the supervisory board's strategic task performance. To investigate this relationship, a mixed-method empirical study was conducted on 44 supervisory boards from Croatia. The study focused on three distinct boardroom processes: cognitive conflict, effort norms, and use of knowledge and skills. Controlling for ownership concentration, quantitative research confirmed the positive effect of all three examined boardroom processes on board involvement in strategic issues. A qualitative study based on interviews with 7 board members provided a more nuanced insight into this relationship. Namely, our results further highlighted the importance of board members' informal relationships as well as the importance of board members' previous work-related experience in strengthening the effects of this process. With this study, we add to the growing discourse on demystifying the black box of board processes by providing unique insight from the two-tier board model. Ovim istraživanjem pridonosimo sve snažnijoj raspravi o razotkrivanju crne kutije procesa u odboru, nudeći jedinstven uvid iz perspektive dualnog modela korporativnog upravljanja
Determinants of real estate prices in Croatian counties: spatial panel data analysis
This paper examines the determinants of real estate prices across Croatian counties, taking into account not only economic and demographic factors, but also tourism-related variables. The main focus is on spatial spillover effects, which are based on the assumption that real estate prices in one county are influenced by the developments in neighboring counties. The study covers the period from 2011 to 2019 and confirms that real estate prices are influenced by both local and regional factors. The key determinants include the number of tourist accommodation units, population size, and GDP per capita. An important result is the existence of a statistically significant spatial dependence across all specifications. This indicates that changes in real estate prices extend beyond county boundaries, underscoring the interconnectedness of the real estate market. These results underline the need for using spatial econometric models, which provide a more comprehensive understanding of regional price dynamics by capturing spillover effects between counties
Croceous glands are oil secretory cavities in fruits of Senega longicaulis (Polygalaceae)
Croceous glands are yellowish glands that occur exclusively in some species of Senega Spach (Polygalaceae). These glands are especially conspicuous in reproductive organs, such as the fruits, but their structure, origin, and secretion are still uncertain. The objective of this study is to determine the nature of the croceous glands in Senega from an analysis of the fruits of Senega longicaulis (Kunth) J.F.B. Pastore. Flowers and fruits at different developmental stages were analysed through light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy to investigate the origin, structure, and composition of the secretion of the glands. Croceous glands of the pericarp are cavities that originate early, while still in the ovary, through a schizolysigenous process. In addition, new glands are formed de novo during fruit development, and the persistent calyx observed surrounding the fruit, also has such cavities. The secretory tissue is constituted by a single layer of epithelial cells, lining a spheroidal lumen that stores the secretion. The exudate is composed of essential oils, indicating functions related to protection against herbivory and microbial attacks. Our results partially diverge from previous reports, and further comprehensive analyses of Polygalaceae glands are essential to understand the nature of croceous glands and the evolution of defence strategies within the family
Electrochemical detection of melatonin using Gd-doped ZnO nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode
In this work, we report the synthesis of gadolinium-doped ZnO nanoparticles (GZ Nps) with varying dopant concentrations (2, 5 and 10 % GZ Nps) to detect melatonin (MEL) through the fabrication of the modified carbon paste electrode (MCPE). Additionally, these Nps are examined for biomedical research and as a photocatalyst for the degradation of Rhodamine B dye. The study is focused on synthesizing GZ Nps using a sustainable green approach incorporating phytochemicals sourced from Tabernaemontana divaricata (T. divaricata) in the simple, economical and environmentally friendly co-precipitation method. Further, the analysis of as-synthesized GZ Nps by X-ray powder diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis confirmed spherical morphology and better crystallinity with lesser agglomeration when the dopant ion concentration was increased. GZ Nps served as an effective photocatalyst for the degradation of Rhodamine B dye, achieving maximum degradation efficiency of 96.70% for 2 % GZ sample. Furthermore, the antibacterial activity was tested using inhibitory zone radius measurements. In electrochemical studies using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry techniques, it was found that 5%GZ Nps, utilized to fabricate a GZ Nps modified carbon paste electrode (GZ/MCPE), showed excellent sensitivity for MEL alone and for the simultaneous detection of ciprofloxacin and MEL. By changing MEL concentrations, the limit of detection of MEL was determined to be 7.95 µM
