Posttraumatska implantoprotetska rehabilitacija estetske zone potpuno digitalnim pristupom – prikaz slučaja

    No full text

    No full text

    No full text
Purpose – This study investigates the effects of green human resource management (GHRM) practices on employee engagement (EE) and pro-environmental behavior (PEB), including the mediating role of EE and the moderating role of green self-efficacy (GSE) in the EE–PEB relationship. Methodology/Design/Approach – Primary data were collected from 426 hotel employees. The dataset was complete with no missing values. SPSS 25 and AMOS 24 were used for statistical analysis. Findings – The study asserts that GHRM practices encourage EE and PEB. Furthermore, it suggests that GSE strengthens the link between employees’ goals and green human resource methods. On the other side, the analysis shows that GHRM has no significant impact on employees’ PEB. Additionally, the findings indicated a significant mediation effect of EE and a significant moderation effect of GSE. Originality of the research – These findings contribute to the literature by offering a contextspecific explanation for why GHRM may not directly lead to PEB in developing economies, and by emphasizing the roles of engagement and self-efficacy in facilitating behavioral change. This study provides practical insights for hospitality managers aiming to foster environmental sustainability through GHRM practices that not only exist in policy but also resonate with employees’ psychological readiness and motivation

THE RELATIONSHIP OF MICROPLASTIC ABUNDANCE IN GREEN MUSSEL Perna viridis AND THE WATERS OF MANGKANG BEACH, SEMARANG

    No full text
Plastika, posebno mikroplastika, trenutno predstavlja potencijalnu prijetnju onečišćenju vode. Microplastics are found not only in water but also in aquatic biota. Green mussels Perna viridis cultivated in Mangkang Wetan coastal waters may be contaminated with microplastics. This research aimed to determine the abundance of microplastics by shape, colour, and polymer type, and to examine the relationship between the abundance of microplastics in the aquatic environment and green mussels P. viridis. Data collection was carried out using a random sampling method to assess the distribution of green mussel cultivation by collecting water samples and green mussels, which were analyzed using quantitative methods. Data analysis was performed using ANOVA and regression analysis. The research identified 4 types of microplastic forms in the waters and 3 in green mussels, with fragment forms dominant in both. Seven colours were found (yellow, green, blue, black, transparent, brown and red), with brown being the dominant colour. Nine types of polymers were identified (polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, nylon, cellulose acetate, polyethersulfone and polystyrene), with polyethylene terephthalate as the dominant polymer. The abundance of microplastics in the waters and green mussels at Station 1 was 6.33 ± 0.45 particles/liter and 4.91 ± 2.32 particles/ind, at Station 2 it was 2.33 ± 0.49 particles/liter and 1.33 ± 0.28 particles/ind, and at Station 3 it was 4.63 ± 0.32 particles/liter and 2.91 ± 1.18 particles/ind. The ANOVA results for microplastic abundance in the waters showed a significance value of 0.00 0.05. The regression analysis showed an exponential pattern, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.685

Anti-infective macrozones: design, biological evaluation and structure-activity relationships

    No full text
Background and purpose: To discover novel compounds active against sensitive and resistant bacterial strains, a series of novel azithromycin-thiosemicarbazone conjugates, the macrozones, have been synthesized and their biological activity evaluated with corresponding (quantitative) structure-activity relationship ((Q)SAR) analyses conducted. Experimental approach: A systematic variation of thiosemicarbazone side-chains and coupling at positions 4''-, 3-, and 9a of the azithromycin scaffold has resulted in a novel class of bacterial ribosome inhibitors. Key results: Compared to azithromycin, the activity of 4''-macrozones has shown the greatest improvements against efflux-resistant S. pneumoniae and S. aureus, as well as very good activity of 4'' derivatives against E. faecalis. QSAR calculations indicate that the antibacterial activity of macrozones is primarily determined by the position of the thiosemicarbazone side chain. Among the conjugated derivatives, the 4''-substituted macrozones exhibit the highest overall activity against a range of sensitive and efflux-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, as well as against Gram-negative E. coli strains, while those substituted at 9a- and 3- positions are found to be less potent. The antibacterial activity of macrozones is favourably influenced by larger fractions of their cationic and zwitterionic forms, their capacity for hydrogen bond formation, and the extension of p-electron delocalization involving the thiosemicarbazone moiety. Conclusion: The results obtained provide a sound basis for guiding further medicinal chemistry efforts toward the discovery of more potent macrolide anti-infectives, with particular emphasis on resistant bacteria that pose a serious threat to human health
