    Study of X-ray spectrum emitted due to the impact of 129Xeq+ on different ion's charge on Au

    <span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 22px; background-color: rgb(248, 248, 248);">We report the experiment data of X-ray spectra produced by the impact of Xeq+ (q = 1 0, 15, 20, 26) with 2.4 MeV kinetic energy on Au surface in the National Laboratory of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou. Results show that there is different broadening of Au M X-ray owing to multiply ionized effect in the collision with heavy ions, the degree of ionization mainly depends on the distribution of the electronic states in the ions&#39; outer shell. The yield of X-ray is calculated and compared with BEA (binary encounter approximation) model, and the effect of ion charge state on the X-ray yield is also discussed.</span

    Development and commissioning of 14 GHz intensity proton source

    <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">A high intensity ECR proton source with 14 GHz microwave heating was proposed and successfully developed at IMP. In 2013, the experimental platform was set up and the preliminary commissioning was performed. The experimental results indicate that the source can produce a total of 4 mA CW hydrogen beams with microwave power of 200 W and extraction voltage of 40 kV, in which</span><sup style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">2</sup><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">H</span><sup style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">+</sup><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">and</span><sup style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">3</sup><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">H</span><sup style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">+</sup><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">are included. The successful commissioning of the proton source demonstrates that the proposed mechanism and the structure are feasible.     Design and RF test of MEBT buncher cavities for C-ADS Injector II at IMP

    To match the beam from the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) accelerator to the Superconducting Half-wave Resonator (HWR) Linac, two room temperature (RT) double-gap Quarter-wave Resonator (QWR) bunchers are designed to be located in the Medium Energy Beam Transport Line (MEBT) for the C-ADS Injector II at IMP. Both cavities work at 162.5 MHz, with beta=0.067 and a beam aperture diameter of 40 mm. The effective voltage of these two cavities needs to reach 135 kV in Continuous Wave (CW) mode. In this paper, the RF design and thermal analysis of the cavities will be presented, along with the tuners and coupler consideration. The measured frequencies, Rsh/ Q0, Q0 and voltage of the cavities agree well with the simulation result. Details of the RF test results including the full power tests of the cavities will be shown.
