Impact of Magnetic Field Strength on Radiomics-Based Knee Injury Diagnosis
peer reviewedMotivation: MRNet is a widely used database for knee injury diagnosis. While several classifiers achieve high accuracy on internal datasets, their performance often declines on external data. Researchers primarily attributed this degradation to site effects, though the role of magnetic field strength (MFS) variations has likely been underestimated. Goals: To disentangle the effects of MFS in knee injury classification. Approach: MFS was inferred using a Gaussian mixture model. Radiomic features were evaluated through one-way ANOVA to quantify MFS effects. Results: Preliminary results suggest that MFS substantially influences radiomic feature distributions and introduces bias, particularly in imbalanced datasets

In canon law, physical or mental irregularities constitute defects, in the sense of imperfection, whereas the cleric should embody both physical and intellectual perfection. The prohibition against having an administrator suffering from deformitas was widely invoked in canon law, notably through extensive biblical quotations from Leviticus and then through the collection of numerous decretals in the thirteenth century. In this context, concern about the giving of the sacraments crystallized in particular around the question of the Eucharist. The constant concern of medieval Christianity to root the spirit in the flesh explains the need for the physical integrity of the one who performs the Eucharist. Indeed, this sacrament cannot be administered by impure or clumsy hands, the canonical texts revealing a certain anxiety at the idea of wine or bread being spilled
Iterated Invariant Extended Kalman Filter (IterIEKF)
peer reviewedWe study the mathematical properties of the Invariant Extended Kalman Filter (IEKF) when iterating on the measurement update step, following the principles of the well-known Iterated Extended Kalman Filter. This iterative variant of the IEKF (IterIEKF) systematically improves its accuracy through Gauss-Newton-based relinearization, and exhibits additional theoretical properties, particularly in the low-noise regime, that resemble those of the linear Kalman filter. We apply the proposed approach to the problem of estimating the extended pose of a crane payload using an inertial measurement unit. Our results suggest that the IterIEKF significantly outperforms the IEKF when measurements are highly accurate
