Growth and Fruit Characteristics of ʻKibouʼ Wild Grapevines over a 3-year Period
本試験では信州大学で品種登録されたワイン用ヤマブドウ品種‘貴房’について、同大学で栽培されている‘貴房’を供試し生育調査・収量調査を行った。試験区は摘心処理の有無および摘房処理の程度の違いにより4試験区に分割し、生育調査および収量調査を2020年から2022年の3年間行い、試験年毎に比較した。その結果、放任区(摘心処理を行わなかった区)では摘心区(摘心処理を行った区)と比較して栄養成長が旺盛な傾向が見られた。2020年においては3果房区の方が2果房区より有意に収量が大きかったが、果実品質に顕著な差は認められなかった。また2021年および2022年において収量および果実品質は4 試験区間で有意な差は認められなかった。これらのことから、着果房数、摘心の有無などの栽培管理方法が果実品質に及ぼす影響は少ないと考えられた。In this study, we conducted a growth and yield survey of 'Kibou', a registered variety of wild grape for wine at Shinshu University, using 'Kibou' cultivars grown at the university. The test plots were divided into 4 test sections according to the presence or absence of tipping treatment and degree of cluster thinning, and growth and yield surveys were conducted for 3 years from 2020 to 2022. The results showed that in the unrestricted cultivation zone (no tipping treatment plots) tended to have stronger nutritional growth than that in the pruned zone (tipping treatment plots). In 2020, yield was significantly greater in the three-bunch area than in the two-bunch area, but there was no significant difference in fruit quality among the four test sections. Yield and fruit quality did not differ significantly among the four test sections in 2021 and 2022. These results suggest that the cultivation management practices like number of fruiting bunches and tipping were harvested little effect on fruit quality.Article信州大学農学部AFC報告 22 : 15-21, (2024)departmental bulletin pape
Inspection Survey of Forest Roads under Rainy Weather Conditions Conducted as Practical Training for Students
信州大学農学部附属AFC手良沢山演習林において,2023年6月に実施予定の学生実習による林道維持管理作業は,雨天のため林道巡視(調査)に変更して実施された。学生には実習の目的を明示し,まず講義室にて林道の維持管理の意義や排水施設についての講義を行った。その後,現地に徒歩で移動して,約760mの区間を1往復して巡視を行い,路面のえぐれや側溝のつまりなど問題箇所を地図上に記録させた。巡視は実習スタッフを含め36名,11 0分で完了した。レポートの記載内容の集計結果から,林道巡視に関することの記述がのべ64名と最多であった。次いで,雨天時の実習に関することの記述がのべ53名と多く,そのうち雨天時の実習の意義(「実際に水や土砂の動きを観察できた」など)の記述(14名)が雨天時の実習の欠点(「記入用紙が濡れた」など)の記述(10名)より多かった。また,学術的・技術的な興味喚起に関する記述,林道維持管理の重要性に関する記述も,それぞれのべ33名,のべ23名と比較的多かった。雨天時の実習にもかかわらず学習効果が得られたことには,学生への実習目的の明示,雨天時にまさに観察できる内容の設定,代替の実習の用意周到な準備,学生の野外実習への慣れなどが寄与したものと考えられた。As part of practical training for students, maintenance work on forest roads in the Terasawayama Research Forest at the Faculty of Agriculture, Shinshu University, was scheduled for June 2023. However, because of rainy weather, the focus of the exercise was changed to a road inspection survey. We explained the purpose of the survey to students, and gave a lecture about the significance of maintenance of forest road and drainage facilities. After moving to the survey site, students then walked along the road between the northern and southern ends of the site, which measured approximately 760 m in length. During the inspection, they examined problem points, such as hollows in the roads and clogged drainage ditches, and recorded the locations and issues on a map. The survey was conducted by 36 people (32 students and 4 teaching staff) in 110 minutes. From reports returned by the students, a total of 64 students (by multiple answers) described the inspection survey itself, 53 described practical training under rainy weather, 14 described the significance of practical training in rainy weather (e.g., actual observations of water and sediment movement), and 10 students described the disadvantages of practical training in rainy weather (e.g., notes getting wet). A total of 33 students stated that it enhanced their interest in science or technology, and 23 students described the importance of forest road management. Consequently, the change in the survey due to rainy weather seemed to be beneficial for field education. The success is attributed to the explanation of the survey purpose prior to the inspection, the selection of content that precisely matches the rainy weather conditions, the careful preparation of alternative content in case of bad weather, and the students' previous experience with field education.Article信州大学農学部AFC報告 22 : 55-61, (2024)departmental bulletin pape
A Survey On Motivation Levels Among Newly Graduated Nurses After Evaluation By Senior Staff
A病院では新卒看護職の成長支援のために、専従教育担当看護職(以下、教育担当)が新卒看護職に対して参加観察を行う「教育ラウンド」を実施している。教育ラウンドの影響について調査した結果、教育ラウンドは新卒看護職のモチベーションをアップさせる機会となる示唆を得た。そのことから教育ラウンドの内容を見直し、教育ラウンドを実施した。今回、新たな方法で教育ラウンドを受けた新卒看護職を対象に、教育ラウンドの影響について調査した。回答者の88%が教育ラウンドを受けたことでモチベーションが上がる変化があり、仕事に対するモチベーションでは「学習志向的:私はどうすれば自分を成長させることができるかを考えるようになった」「学習志向的:私は仕事でうまくいかない時にも、学ぶ姿勢を持ち続けるようになった」で高い傾向がみられた。また、テキストマイニングソフトKR-Coderを用いて自由記述を分析した結果、教育ラウンドは、客観的評価を受け、自分を振りかえり、成長を実感する良い機会となっていた。したがって、教育ラウンドを実施するラウンダーは、新人との振り返りの時間をモチベーションを上げる重要な時間と捉え、承認とともに継続的な学習を働きかけていく必要がある。Article信州大学医学部附属病院看護研究集録 51(1) : 6-11(2024)departmental bulletin pape
Analysis of Distal Compound Muscle Action Potential Duration in Hereditary Transthyretin Amyloidosis with Polyneuropathy
Background : Hereditary transthyretin (ATTRv) amyloidosis, a disorder accompanied by axonal polyneuropathy, is often misdiagnosed as chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). Prolongation of distally evoked compound muscle action potential duration (DCMAPD), an electrophysiological parameter of heterogeneous conduction delay at the distal part of the motor nerve suggesting demyelinating neuropathies, is included in an index of diagnostic criteria for CIDP. However, DCMAPDs are strongly influenced by low-frequency filtering (LFF) settings, which differ across hospitals worldwide. Aim : To analyze DCMAPD in patients with ATTRv amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (ATTRv-PN). Methods : DCMAPs of the median, ulnar, tibial, and peroneal nerves were recorded under LFF settings of 2, 10, and 20 Hz in 50 patients with ATTRv-PN. The changes of DCMAPD accompanied with the changes of LFF settings were analyzed. The appropriateness of the cut-off values of the DCMAPD in the latest criteria for CIDP, which defined under various LFF settings, was also validated in ATTRv-PN patients. Results : The DCMAPD was shorter with increasing LFF settings. Less than 10 % of patients with ATTRv-PN demonstrated prolonged DCMAPD of the ulnar, tibial, and peroneal nerves. In contrast, ten patients demonstrated prolonged DCMAPD in the median nerve under LFF settings of 2, 10, and/or 20 Hz. Nine of the ten cases were complicated with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Conclusion : Prolongation of DCMAPDs in the ulnar, tibial, and peroneal nerves is rare in ATTRv-PN patients. DCMAPD analysis of the median nerve in patients with ATTRv-PN requires caution, because they frequently develop CTS and those with CTS may demonstrate prolonged DCMAPD.Article信州医学雑誌 72(2) : 87-94, (2024)journal articl

The origin of chlorite-rich shale nodules found in the Miocene Aoki Formation in Matsumoto City, central Japan
Chlorite-rich shale nodules have been discovered in the Miocene Aoki Formation in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, central Japan. The present work assessed the mode of occurrence and the internal structures of these nodules along with the proportion of chlorite in each. Analyses were performed using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and other techniques to evaluate the compositions and morphologies of the chlorite grains and to elucidate the origin of these nodules. Nodules both with and without pyrite cores were found. The former specimens each comprised a pyrite core, a gray-colored shaly mantle surrounding the core and a margin, designated as Zones C, B and A, respectively. The chlorite content of Zone B was remarkably high, with a maximum concentration of 56 wt%. The chlorite in this region was also very fine grained and the grains had euhedral or acicular to blade-like shapes with Fe/(Fe+Mg) ratios on the order of 0.7. This chlorite was not detrital but rather comprised authigenic crystals precipitated during early diagenesis of the sediments. Oriented samples from Zone B exhibited odd-order line broadening in XRD patterns, indicating that the mineral was not purely chlorite but rather a randomly interstratified serpentine/chlorite mineral. The mineral precipitated during early diagenesis is thought to have been serpentine-like 7 Å berthierine. The crystallization of this berthierine was evidently associated with the cessation of sulfate reduction, based on the zonal structure of the nodules having pyrite cores. Following the depletion of SO4 2– in interstitial water, reactive iron minerals such as iron oxyhydroxides (FeOOH) contained in the sandy mudstone were reduced by organic matter. Fe2+ ions were thus formed and added to the interstitial water, leading to the precipitation of berthierine. Following crystallization of the berthierine, this material transitioned to a randomly interstratified serpentine/chlorite mineral due to the depth of the Aoki Formation.ArticleJournal of the Faculty of Science Shinshu University 51 : 2-24(2024)departmental bulletin pape
