Performance Evaluation of Private Commercial Banks of Bangladesh: A Trend Analysis
The study revealed the trend analysis of the private commercial banks and given an overview of the performance of private commercial banks of Bangladesh. Nowadays, the banking sector is the “lifeblood” of all economic activity. The study is empirical. To get the proper understanding about the trend of different variables such as, investment loan & advancement, total asset, total liability, total equity, profit after tax, return on investment, return on asset, and return on equity from 2013 to 2017 the sample was extracted from the scheduled commercial banks. The result shows that the banking system of Bangladesh is not running at a normal pace. The index of the various variable of PCBs has progressed in some years, but again it has been delayed for the next time. The ROI and the ROA result show the best output in 2014 and the worst in 2017. On the other side, the best return on equity shows in 2014, but it is in the lowest position in 2015 because of a sudden increase in an equity position. The trend of profit after tax is like a wave. In 2014 and 2016 it is increased than the last year. On the other hand, in 2013, 2015 & 2017 it is decreased in comparison to the previous year. The data shows that the PAT is rotated within 15,000 to 20000 million taka. It is studied that, the growth and development, as well as the performance trend, is not rhythmic. PCBs should get the proper rhythm of their development, and for the development of the state
Employees’ Perception about Social Accounting Practice by Commercial Banks of Bangladesh
In banking industry social accounting has become an important phenomenon now a days. This practice by commercial banks creates a bridge between society/country and banks. The bank employees are highly motivated to do this for societal concern as well as corporate benefit. This study is conducted on 100 employees of some commercial banks of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Random sampling method was used to select the respondents. The study reveals bank employees’ perception about social accounting which is carried out by their own banks. Banks’ main focus is society/community while doing social accounting. Statistical tools like (mean, standard deviation, variance, frequency, correlation analysis) are used to find out the result by using SPSS software. The study reveals there is a positive relationship between social accounting with corporate competitiveness & social interaction. The commercial banks have to come forward to involve in practicing social accounting for economic development of Bangladesh. 
Factors Influencing the Employee Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment: A Study of Selected Commercial Banks in Bangladesh
This article strives to determine the most influential factors giving rise to employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment in the commercial banks of Bangladesh. Accordingly, the study aims at exploring the extent to which these employees are committed to their organizations and satisfied with different dimensions of their jobs. This study was conducted on the employees of commercial banks of Bangladesh. Out of the 300 survey questionnaires distributed among the respondents, 285 statistically usable questionnaires were received. A stepwise descriptive statistic, multiple regression analysis and one –way-ANOVA were used to confirm the research hypotheses. The findings of the study indicated that reward and recognition, authority and feedback are highly influential factors influencing job satisfaction. Authority and feedback for affective commitment, work and working environment for continuance commitment and supervisor, and supervision for normative commitment have been found to be the most influential factors
Empowering Women through E-Business: A Study on Women Entrepreneurs in Dhaka City
This paper tries to evaluate the effectiveness of e-business on the empowerment of women. A survey has been administered to identify the effects of Women Entrepreneurship through e-business on Women Empowerment related attitudes. I have collected data through a semi-structured questionnaire from a sample of 100 women entrepreneurs operating online businesses located in Dhaka city. 15 employees’ personally interviewed and other 85 respondents were surveyed through e-mail and social network sites. The findings of the study indicate various factors about women empowerment. Results reveal that indicators of women empowerment are mainly (1) Economic Freedom, (2) Greater social independency & acceptability, and (3) Sense of self-worth. Twenty questions are developed to evaluate the effectiveness of e-business on the empowerment of women for mentioned three indicators. The findings of this study reveal that e-business is a powerful tool in enhancing women empowerment. Women believe that e-business is one of the easiest ways to become entrepreneur which is in turn empowering them in different social issues

Artificial Intelligence, Reciprocal Symmetry, and Customer Relationship Management: A Paradigm Shift in Business

Cascading cache layer in content management system places data in layers and sequence in order of importance. The cached data are also removed based on their order of importance. Caching is majorly about input and output of content and data, this brings the need for cascading management system to make accessing data easier than usual. This work takes a look into caching and how it works. It considers various levels of caching in the content management systems. Socio-Economic Responsibility of Pharmaceutical Companies: Bangladesh Case
Bangladesh is a rustic of rising economy. The causes of its rising is high rate of industrialization and investment in different sectors. The pharmaceutical sector that is the second largest export earning source of the country after Ready Made Garments contributes almost 1% of the GDP and is currently the third largest tax paying sector in the country. Square Pharmaceutical Limited (SPL) the biggest name in the pharmaceutical sector of Bangladesh has a market share of 19.3% and the total exporting amount become BDT 1,137.99 millions in FY 2016-2017 that is 34.46% more than the previous year. This paper is almost done using the secondary data though a slight primary data is used where customer’s choice is examined where the highest 38% of the customer like the brand name square. This study assessed and examined the role of pharmaceutical company to the economy of Bangladesh from the perspective of square pharmaceutical limited as the sample company. The researcher also investigates the corporate social responsibility activities played by the respective company. This paper will be useful to the pharmaceutical companies, concerned authorities, policy makers and the government to know the role of pharmaceutical sector and required initiatives to eliminate all the hindrances and resolve all the problems to make out pharmaceutical sector as a crucial actor in both domestic and international market
Factors Contributing to the Entrepreneurial Development in Bangladesh: A Study on Rajshahi City
This paper attempts to examine the impact of pull and push factors on the entrepreneurial development process. The pull factor “earning extra money for family” has appeared as the most important motivating factor for undertaking an entrepreneurial activity. Both the factors such as “self-employment with economic freedom” and “Less complex and more profitable” have emerged as the second most important factors contributing to an entrepreneurial phenomenon, followed by the factor “Use of personal knowledge and experience” being the third most important factor. The support from the government and the financial support from the bank have been found to be little to do with the respondents’ undertaking the entrepreneurial activity.
The respondents with experience of ‘10 years and above’ have ranked the factors ‘Less complex and more profitable’ and ‘Earning extra money for family’ as the most important and second most important motivating factors respectively. Whereas the respondents without any experience and with experience below ten years have ranked the factors ‘Earning extra money for family’ and ‘Self-employment with economic freedom’ in the first or second place contrariwise. Irrespective of the nature of businesses they are engaged in, all the respondents have viewed the factor ‘Curse of unemployment’ as the most important factor that compelled them to undertake the entrepreneurial activity
