Perdarahan Bilik Depan Bola Mata Akibat Rudapaksa (Traumatic Hyphaema)
Salah satu di antara sekian banyak penyebab kebutaan,
yang sering dijumpai adalah persentuhan mata dengan benda
tumpul, misalnya traumatic hyphaema.
WaIaupun rudapaksa yang mengenai mata tidak selalu merupa-
kan penyebab utama dari kebutaan, namun merupakan faktor
yang cukup sering mengakibatkan hilangnya penglihatan
unilateral. Maka dari itu, masalah rudapaksa pada mata masih
menjadi satu - masalah yang perlu mendapat perhatian dan
Gombos menganggapnya sebagai salah satu ocular emergen-
cies (1). HaI ini disebabkan karena masih seringnya timbul
komplikasi-komplikasi yang tidak diinginkan di samping cara
perawatan yang terbaik masih di perdebatkan oleh para sar-
jana.
Dalam tuIisan singkat ini penulis berusaha menyajikan cara
perawatan penderita dengan perdarahan bilik depan bola
mata karena rudapaksa, sehingga kasus-kasus tersebut sege-
ra dapat ditangguIangi guna menghindari timbulnya kompli-
kasi yang mungkin terjadi

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk: (1) mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pendidikan karakter yang ada dalam RPP; (2) mengetahui bagaimana pendidikan karakter yang ada di kurikulum aktual dan hiden kurikulum dengan analisis konsep AGIL. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data untuk penelitian ini diambil dari wawancara, observasi dan data dokumen. Untuk pemilihan informan peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dimana dalam penelitian kualitatif, yaitu menentukan kelompok peserta menjadi informan sesuai dengan kriteria terpilih yang relevan dengan masalah penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengambil 5 informan, dimana 3 informan guru dan 2 informan siswa. Untuk validitas penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber, dan untuk analisis menggunakan konsep AGIL. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan: (1) pendidikan karakter dalam silabus dan RPP tidak berjalan dengan baik karena guru secara sadar tidak membuat RPP sendiri tetapi meminjam dari guru lain , dalam pelaksanaannya berbeda dengan apa yang ditulis dalam RPP; (2) pendidikan karakter di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar lebih banyak dan berhasil dilakukan pada kegiatan-kegiatan non kurikuler. Latar Belakang : Ketersediaan peralatan pemadaman kebakaran merupakan aspek yang penting dalam keadaan darurat kebakaran. Guna membantu proses pemadaman perlu dipastikan bahwa pompa pemadam dalam keadaaan yang siap dan mampu menyediakan air guna pemadaman. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25 tentang Standard for the inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection System, merupakan salah satu standar dan peryaratan teknis yang mendeskripsikan bagaimana pompa pemadam seharusnya diperiksa, diuji, dan dipelihara. Sehingga pompa pemadam siap digunakan saat keadaan darurat. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara dan studi literatur untuk menggambarkan penerapan pemeriksaan, pengujian dan pemeliharaan pompa pemadam yang telah dilakukan oleh PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU 1 Pacitan, sesuai dengan National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25 tentang Standard for the inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection System Hasil : PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU 1 Pacitan telah membangun fire pump dan fire pump house serta telah menerapkan pemeriksaan, pengujian dan pemeliharaan pompa pemadam kebakaran berdasarkan NFPA 25 Standard for the inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection System Simpulan : Dari 71 standar checklist alternatif NFPA 25 yang penulis gunakan, terdapat 35 standar yang telah sesuai, 7 standar yang tidak dapat diterapkan karena tidak tersedia di lapangan dan 29 standar yang belum terpenuhi

IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY USING FLASHCARDS
ocabulary is one of the important elements in teaching English. Based on
pre-research, the fourth grade students of SD Negeri II Watuagung in the
academic year of 2011/2012 had problems in mastering vocabulary. It could be
seen from two indicators: first, their vocabulary score was low. Second, the
students did not have motivation during teaching-learning process. To overcome
the problems, classroom action research is used. It implemented flashcards as the
media. The aim of this research is to improve students’ vocabulary mastery and
students’ motivation using flashcards. There are two cycles of action. In each
cycle, the procedure of the research consists of planning, acting, observing, and
reflecting. In collecting the data, the researcher used qualitative and quantitative
methods. The technique of qualitative data was interview, observation, document
analysis, and test. For the quantitative data, the data are analyzed by finding and
comparing the mean scores in pre-test and post-test (descriptive statistics). Based
on interview, observation, analyzing the document, and test result, the students
made improvement in vocabulary mastery. The students can learn vocabulary
more easy than before. When flashcards are used, in the first and the second
cycle, students are active and enthusiastic in joining learning activity. The tests
score results shows an improvement of the students’ achievement. The students’
mean score in the pre-test is 45.70, in post-test 1 is 70.52, and in post-test 2 is
80.13. It can be concluded that teaching English vocabulary by using flashcards
as media does improve the students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of the
research implies that English teachers need to choose the appropriate media in
teaching vocabulary; one of them is flashcards.

IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING FLUENCY THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TRIVIA-BASED ACTIVITY IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
This article describes a classroom action research held in speaking class
through the implementation of trivia-based activity to improve the University
students’ speaking fluency and improve the classroom situation. The method used
in the reasearch is collaborative classroom action research which was conducted
in two cycles. Each cycle included four stages namely planning, implementing,
observing and reflecting. The data that were obtained qualitatively and
quantitatively show that through trivia-based activity could improve: (1) students’
speaking fluency; (2) speaking classroom situation.
