POTENTIAL AND UTILIZATION OF CORN HARVEST WASTE BASED ON ANIMAL FEED PROCESSING IN TAROANG DISTRICT, JENEPONTO DISTRICT
This service aims to identify the potential and utilization of corn harvest waste as raw material for animal feed in Taroang District, Jeneponto Regency. Corn harvest waste, such as stems, leaves and cobs, is often not utilized optimally and becomes an environmental problem. Through community service carried out by a team from Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, a series of activities were carried out to introduce corn waste processing technology using a chopper. Demonstrations and training on the use of chopping equipment were carried out to increase the community's understanding and skills in processing corn waste into quality animal feed. The results of this activity show that the use of corn waste as animal feed has great potential to increase the economic value of agricultural waste and reduce environmental impacts. Apart from that, the people involved in this program, especially the "Tersayang" farmer group in Baling-Balang Village, received direct benefits in the form of increased knowledge and skills in processing corn waste. It is hoped that the handover of the chopping equipment to this farmer group will support the sustainability of the animal feed processing business in the future. This community service program has not only succeeded in introducing corn waste processing technology, but also opened up new economic opportunities for the people of Taroang District. Thus, the use of corn harvest waste based on animal feed processing can be an effective solution to improve farmers' welfare and preserve the environment.Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan pemanfaatan limbah hasil panen jagung sebagai bahan baku pakan ternak di Kecamatan Taroang, Kabupaten Jeneponto. TRAINING ON DESIGNING BEST PRACTICE SCHOLARLY WRITING TO ENHANCE ENGLISH TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Teacher professional development is essential for a teacher to achieve teaching goals, whether in implementing the instruction or pedagogic dimensions. One of the efforts in developing teaching professionalism is designing a scholarly writing. However, in crafting a scholarly writing, a teacher encounters several challenges and difficulties, such as time management, research methodologies, designing instruments, generating research ideas or topics, etc. These issues were found in the Subject Teacher Discussion Forum (MGMP) of English teachers in Bekasi City as partners in this community service. Hence, in this community service event, the teachers were trained to design a scholarly writing in Best Practice research and the Situation, Task, Action, and Result (STAR) technique. The community service employed the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method. The result of the community service program (PkM) revealed that almost all the participants were motivated to write a scholarly writing
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR FISHERMEN IN INDRAMAYU TO SUPPORT BLUE ECONOMY IMPLEMENTATION
This community service initiative aims to enhance financial literacy and family financial management skills among fishing communities in Karangsong Village, Indramayu Regency, to support the implementation of blue economy principles. Low levels of financial literacy have contributed to the inability of fishers to manage their highly fluctuating incomes, increasing household economic vulnerability, particularly during the lean season. This program involves various activities, including socialization sessions, basic financial record-keeping training, budgeting workshops, education on emergency funds, and improving understanding of access to formal financial services. The outcomes of this initiative include improved knowledge and skills among fishers in managing household finances, developing budgeting habits, adopting basic financial record-keeping practices, and initiating a savings culture. In line with the sustainable development goals of the blue economy, this effort is expected to strengthen the economic resilience of fishing families, reduce their dependency on middlemen, and promote smarter financial behavior
FARMERS' CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT THROUGH ORGANIC FARMING INTERVENTIONS
Dynamic and sustainable agricultural technology innovation is very important to increase production and the added value of agricultural products. This program aims to implement organic farming conversion on the Rojolele Srinuk rice variety, a javanica rice variety that has been modified to have advantages such as a shorter lifespan and resistance to pests. The program is carried out in five stages: (1) Program preparation, including planning and mapping targets; (2) Training in making organic fertilizer, through lectures and direct practice; (3) Practicing organic cultivation of Rojolele Srinuk rice on 2 hectares of land, using half the dose of chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer; (4) Regular assistance to monitor and deal with obstacles such as pest attacks; (5) Farming bookkeeping training to optimize cost and profit management. Preparation for the program was carried out from May to June 2024, with training on June 21, 2024. Even though there was a rat pest attack that damaged up to 80% of the land, the use of botanical pesticides resulting from the training helped reduce the damage and allowed a harvest with a yield of 30-50% of the expected. Bookkeeping training increases farmers' understanding of cost and profit analysis. The final evaluation shows the potential and challenges of organic farming conversion that need to be addressed in future programs
IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATION ADDRESSING CLIMATE CHANGE IN INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM FOR TEACHERS

BUILDING STRATEGIC ADOPTION IN EVOLVING DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM FOR MSMEs
With over 66 million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Indonesia relies heavily on this sector, which contributes 61% to the national GDP. However, many MSMEs—especially in regions like Bantul and Yogyakarta—face significant barriers to adopting digital technologies. This study examines how digital literacy training combined with SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) strategic planning influences MSME self-efficacy and digital skills. A mixed-method quasi-experimental design involving ten participants from five MSMEs was employed. Quantitative results indicated modest improvements in self-efficacy (2.74%) and digital skills (2.33%), though these were not statistically significant. However, qualitative data revealed enhanced digital confidence, increased awareness of online market potential, and persistent challenges related to strategy execution and technological access
