CROSS BORDER COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SELLING PRICE LITERACY: EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIA–TIMOR LESTE CROSS BORDERS
Purpose: This study aims to carry out an empowerment cross.border community to increase the understanding and ability of border economic actors to determine appropriate and competitive selling prices based on the costs incurred.
Theoretical Framework: The empowerment, training, and financial literacy theory are adapted in this article to explain cross-border residents' economic transactions.
Design/Methodology/Approaches: The method used in this study is a combination of qualitative and quantitative, which compiles and analyzes dan combines both qualitative and quantitative information.
Finding: The results of the activity show that participants' understanding and skills increased after carrying out this activity, in which they appropriately determined the selling price by first calculating the production costs.
Research Practical & Social Implication: In this study, the cross-border community realizes the benefits of financial knowledge to enhance business development and sustainability for their well-being.
Originality/Value: The findings of the research can potentially contribute to the development of business environments and policies to facilitate and enhance cross-border trade potential
EXAMINING HUMAN RESOURCE FACTORS INFLUENCING ANALYTICAL DECISION MAKING AND ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS IN TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN COMPANIES
Purpose: The primary objective of this research is to analyze and examine the factors contributing to the issues in analytical decision-making in large technology-driven Indian organizations.
Theoretical Framework: The study aims to develop an 'analytical organizational effectiveness model' and 'analytical transformation theory' for technology-driven industries.
Design/Methodology/Approaches: The study adopted a mixed methodology research design using systematic literature review (SLR), exploratory research, expert interviews and quantitative techniques to identify key variables of the study.
Findings: The SLR validated the proposed conceptual model and found that human resource factors influence analytical decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
Research Practical Social Implication: The study provides actionable insights for organizations aiming to enhance decision-making processes. This research advances analytical transformation theory by exploring and identifying key factors influencing organizational analytical transformation. This study emphasizes the human dimension in successful analytical implementation. Developing an 'analytical organizational effectiveness model' for technology-driven industries represents a significant theoretical contribution, offering a structured framework for understanding and assessing analytics within specific organizational contexts.
Originality/Value: This study is more relevant and practically applied to organizations lagging in decision-making and facing a competitive advantage
EXPLORING EFFECTIVE METHODS TO BOOST VIRTUAL WORKERS' MORALE FOR IMPROVED PROJECT PERFORMANCE
Background: The continuous advancement of information technology has transformed how businesses and organizations carry out their day-to-day activities. Many people are choosing to work remotely because they are handling a significant number of human interactions through various virtual communication platforms. Remote work facilitates business growth and improves customer service, yet it presents its challenges, necessitating an investigation into virtual team morale to guarantee project success.
Method: This study employed content analysis of readily available secondary data to examine the investigated phenomenon.
Results: The study determined that the key elements for enhancing project success in virtual teams are technology adoption, an environment free from distractions, effective leadership, trust, communication, a well-defined task, active team engagement, and motivation. The study also found that morale strongly influences engagement and productivity in virtual teams. Therefore, when morale is high, virtual teams achieve their optimal performance.
Conclusion: The research concluded that selecting the suitable technology for communication, assigning virtual team members with distinct roles and responsibilities, fostering a culture of accountability and trust within virtual teams, promoting efficient team collaboration, and motivating virtual team members are the most impactful tactics for enhancing employee engagement and performance in virtual teams
CRYPTOCURRENCIES: THEIR REGULATORY CHALLENGES AND IMPACTS ON CENTRALIZED FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
El advenimiento de las criptomonedas tuvo como objetivo principal transformar la manera en que las personas utilizan su dinero, tanto para la realización de pagos como para su uso como reserva de valor. Con el crecimiento exponencial de las criptomonedas, el BIS (Banco de Pagos Internacionales) en reunión con varios bancos centrales señaló el riesgo que estas monedas digitales, que no poseen regulaciones monetarias ni ningún otro control gubernamental, podrían representar en sus economías en el futuro, impactando principalmente a las instituciones financieras centralizadas. Este artículo tiene como finalidad analizar la revolución digital, que todavía no posee políticas regulatorias sólidas en ningún país y puede afectar radicalmente la economía global. Adicionalmente, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo mencionar cómo las instituciones financieras reaccionan a esto, observando su posición de intermediarias en transacciones y sus desafíos seculares. Hay muchas áreas oportunas para que bancos tradicionales, fintechs y bancos nacidos en la era digital presenten soluciones para el almacenamiento, movimiento/transferencia y uso de estos activos de manera fácil y segura. Así, en el mercado financiero, los bancos que atiendan estratégicamente negocios de criptoactivos e inversores probablemente tendrán una ventaja competitiva en el futuro.Objetivo: O objetivo deste estudo foi i analisar a revolução das criptomoedas e seus impactos na economia global e nas instituições financeiras, considerando a falta de regulamentação e as oportunidades para bancos tradicionais, fintechs e bancos digitais.
Referencial Teórico: A literatura recente sobre criptomoedas destaca a lacuna regulatória como um dos principais desafios para o desenvolvimento e a integração dessa tecnologia no sistema financeiro global. Diversos autores convergem na análise de que, embora existam iniciativas regulatórias em diferentes países, ainda não há um marco regulatório global sólido e harmonizado para as criptomoedas. Ressaltam ainda que atualmente existem muitos desafios para as instituições financeiras tradicionais agirem como intermediadoras de transações em criptomoedas. Contudo, o mercado em questão oferece diversas oportunidades para que bancos tradicionais, fintechs e bancos digitais diversifiquem seus produtos e serviços.
Desenho/Metodologia/Abordagem: Análise da literatura sobre criptomoedas, economia digital e o papel das instituições financeiras. Discussão das implicações da falta de regulamentação para a economia global e exploração das oportunidades para bancos tradicionais, fintechs e bancos digitais no mercado de criptoativos.
Resultados: As criptomoedas podem ter um impacto significativo na economia global, especialmente nas instituições financeiras. Destaca-se que a falta de regulamentação cria riscos para a estabilidade financeira e a proteção do consumidor. Para que uma regulamentação seja efetiva é necessário que não apenas um país crie regras e regulações, mas diversos, conforme recomendação do BIS. A tecnologia Blockchain, principal responsável pelo registro das transações, garante a segurança com seu sistema imutável e descentralizado, porém o anonimato quase que total abre brechas para atividades ilícitas.
Pesquisa, Implicações Práticas e Sociais: Sugere-se uma agenda de pesquisa futura para explorar os impactos das criptomoedas em diferentes setores da economia. Ademais, destaca-se a importância da regulamentação para proteger os consumidores e promover a estabilidade financeira.
Originalidade/Valor: Este estudo fornece uma análise abrangente das implicações das criptomoedas para a economia global e as instituições financeiras. A presente pesquisa apresenta a evolução da regulamentação das Criptomoedas em regiões como Brasil, Hong Kong, China, El Salvador, França e Alemanha. IMPACT OF DIGITAL FINANCE ON STOCK MARKET PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA (2012M1-2021M12)
Purpose: The stock market has long played a significant role in fostering economic growth in developing countries by providing equity funds for capital formation. Technological advancements, particularly in digital technology, have significantly influenced financial services, becoming a crucial aspect of financial affairs. Notably, digital payment services have gained prominence in Nigeria, offering potential improvements to the Nigerian stock market. Despite this, there appears to be a perceived gap between digital finance transactions and the performance of the Nigerian stock market. Therefore, this study centred on the impact of digital finance on stock market performance in Nigeria. The study specifically aimed to assess the influence of Automated Teller Machine (ATM), Point of Sales (POS), mobile payment (mobilepay), and web-based payment (webpay) digital finance transactions on stock market capitalization ratio in Nigeria.
Methodology: This study, conducted for the period from January 2012 to December 2021, utilized Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares regression to investigate the impact of digital finance on stock market performance in Nigeria. Monthly secondary data were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria's Statistical Bulletin, Statistics and Monthly Economic Reports.
Findings and Conclusion: Empirical findings revealed that ATM, POS, mobile-based, and web-based digital finance transactions had a positive and significant impact on the stock market capitalization ratio in Nigeria. Consequently, the study concluded that digital finance contributes to enhancing stock market performance in the country
Originality/Value: To promote further growth in the stock market, the study recommends expanding the deployment and usage of digital finance channels such as ATM, POS, mobile-based, and web-based channels, encouraging their utilization for stock market transactions by participants
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW PAPER
Purpose: This paper aims to shed light on the evolution of strategic management over time, including definitions, supporting theories, tools, importance, and application in various business settings, and highlight the challenges and future trends of strategic management.
Theoretical Framework: In the available studies, various researchers examine SM utilization. Others have established tools and techniques, while others have contributed to their definition and classification, or investigated which SMs are in use. However, academics and practitioners seldom debate strategic management literature in depth. Gunn and Williams (2007) noted that there is a dearth of papers concerning strategic management. More must be realized about Strategic management.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This paper employs a systematic review design, also known as an overview, which is a comprehensive synthesis of primary research studies. These approaches are utilized to identify, compile, critically, and synthesize all pertinent issues about the subject (Cipriani & Geddes, 2003).
Findings: Companies that aim to achieve success and remain competitive over the long term must utilize strategic management, which provides organizations with a framework for making decisions, maintaining consistency and cohesion, boosting productivity and flexibility, and promoting teamwork. Therefore, strategists should have a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of strategic management, including the concepts, theories, and tools that could help achieve strategic goals.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: This paper contributes to additional evidence for those interested in strategic management scholars or managers to pay more attention to the tools and theories, that could be improving their organizations. In addition, this study complements the systematic literature review documents related to the content of SM. Moreover, Future research could be extended or discriminate between various types of tools and theories that could apply to strategic management. It could also investigate additional on the changing that facing strategic management.

STAKEHOLDER PERSPECTIVES ON THE MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CAMPUS AUTONOMY IN TRIBHUVAN UNIVERSITY NEPAL: A QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS
Purpose: This study investigates stakeholder perspectives on the implementation of campus autonomy at Tribhuvan University. It aims to explore how stakeholders perceive campus autonomy, identify opportunities and challenges associated with it, and examine its benefits and drawbacks.
Methodology: The study is based on a qualitative research method utilizing thematic analysis. It focuses on four main themes: structural challenges, institutional sustainability, governance and accountability, and collaboration and coordination. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, and thematic analysis was employed to extract valuable insights from stakeholders.
Results and Discussion: The findings reveal the complexities involved in autonomy implementation. It highlights the significance of strategic planning, capacity development, addressing disparities, upholding academic freedom, maintaining coordination, and striking a balance between autonomy and accountability to foster innovation and enhance educational outcomes.
Conclusion: Implementing campus autonomy in Nepal's higher education system requires careful planning, capacity-building, good governance and accountability, and fostering collaboration and coordination to address challenges and stimulate innovation.
Implication: The research provides valuable insights to stakeholders for improved decision-making, academic quality, governance, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and policy recommendations in developing a high-quality higher education system.
Originality/Value: The research's originality lies in aligning its implementation with stakeholders' expectations for quality development in higher education through campus autonomy. Stakeholder insights and opinions offer valuable understanding of campus autonomy, including its benefits, challenges, and potential implications. FACTORS AFFECTING SUPPLY CHAIN COOPERATION: A CASE-BASED STUDY IN THE ORGANIC AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY IN HANOI, VIETNAM
Purpose: After the covid 19 pandemic, cooperation has become increasingly necessary and important for the supply chain, especially the organic agricultural supply chain, which has loose and fragmented links. Furthermore, with the need for clean, safe food, organic agriculture is also receiving more attention from the government, consumers and businesses. This study aims to examine factors affecting supply chain cooperation based on a survey sample of 120 managers from businesses in the organic agricultural supply chain in Hanoi, Vietnam. From this analysis, we provide solutions to promote cooperation in the supply chain for the organic agriculture industry in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This article uses the research method of analyzing and synthesizing theories about cooperation in the supply chain, thereby providing a research model. Then we use quantitative methods, exploiting the random approach to analyze factors affecting cooperation in the organic agricultural supply chain through surveying subjects that involved in organic agricultural supply chains in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Findings: The research results describe the impact of factors affecting cooperation in the supply chain, showing the level of influence of these factors on cooperation. Through the level of impact, the authors propose solutions to enhance cooperation in the organic agricultural supply chain.
Originality/Value: To the author's knowledge, this study is original in describing the impacts of factors affecting the cooperation of organic agricultural supply chains in Hanoi, Vietnam. Furthermore, the article uses random approaches, contributing to research through a practical lens
IDENTIFYING BARRIERS IN PUBLIC SECTOR DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: A CASE STUDY IN INDONESIA CITY OFFICE FOR POPULATION ADMINISTRATION AND CIVIL REGISTRATION (COPACR) CONTEXT
Purpose: This paper presents a case study of the Surabaya City Office for Population Administration and Civil Registration (COPACR), which is currently undergoing digitization and digital transformation across all its civil registration service lines. This research identifies internal and external barriers relevant to digital transformation in the context of Surabaya COPACR.
Theoretical Framework: This study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to identify internal and external barriers relevant to the implementation of digital transformation in the COPACR sector. The barriers are validated through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Expert Choice tools. Priority barriers are determined based on the highest relevance weight values from the perspectives of Top Management and Field Officers.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This research adopts an action research methodology, leveraging the researcher's position within the system to directly intervene and facilitate change. A mixed-method approach is employed, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Twenty literature sources are utilized to identify internal and external barriers within public sectors to adopt digital transformation. A total of 63 barriers (33 internal and 30 external) are categorized and their relevance tested through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Barrier priorities are selected using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and expert choice tools.
Findings: The Surabaya COPACR in developing countries exhibits characteristics such as low employee motivation, inadequate officer competency, rigid bureaucratic structures, and limited innovation. With these conditions, the internal priorities for adopting digital transformation in Surabaya COPACR include lack of political support, traditional bureaucracy, organizational complexity, and lack of competency. External barriers include inflexible regulations, bureaucracy, lack of data standardization, and inadequate funding allocation.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: This research contributes theoretical insights into internal and external priority barriers that need to be considered to adopt digital transformation in the COPACR context of developing countries. The identified barriers can serve as references for public sectors with similar organizational characteristics in developing countries to design strategies for adopting digital transformation effectively.
Originality/Value: This study identifies internal and external barriers to digital transformation in the Surabaya COPACR context, involving assessments from both strategic (Top Management) and technical (Field Officer) perspectives
JOB ENGAGEMENT AND WORK LIFE BALANCE AS INTERVENING VARIABELS BETWEEN JOB STRESS AND SUPERVISOR SUPPORTIVE ON TURNOVER INTENTION AMONG COMMERCIAL LOCAL TELEVISION EMPLOYEES IN SEMARANG CITY
Purpose: The aim of this study was to find out the impact of work stress and supervisor support on the turnover intention mediated by job engagement and work life balance. The research was conducted on a commercial local television station in Semarang City.
Theoretical Framework: The Conservation of Resources (COR) theory posits that when individuals encounter losses or threats to their resources, they undergo discomfort or stress and make efforts to minimize losses when they arise (Ahn & Chaoyu, 2019).
Design/Methodology/Approach: The research utilized quantitative methods for its execution. The study's population and sample consisted of the families of 104 permanent employees who participated as respondents. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of printed questionnaires. Analysis of the study's data was conducted using SmartPLS 3.0 software, with 101 out of the 104 surveys distributed being returned.
Findings: The findings indicate that intentions to leave a job are significantly positively impacted by job stress. It has also been discovered that supervisor assistance significantly reduces the intention to leave. The association between work stress and supervisor support for intention to leave is mediated by work-life balance. It has been discovered that the supervisor's support connection with regard to turnover intention is not mediated by job engagement.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: The study has limited research objects limited area of Semarang City.
Originality/Value: The value of the study is The impact of supervisor support and work stress on turnover intention in the television industry has not been extensively studied. As a result, by offering a fresh viewpoint on the relationship between job stress and supervisor support and turnover intention, this research adds to the body of existing literature
