Throughout Georges Perros’s epistolary discourse, the practice of reading serves both as a structuring foundation and as a truly subversive game. Acting as a reader and critic of both himself and his correspondents, Perros deploys a distinctive style that interrogates language, its limits, and its stakes in literary creation. His writing explores the infinite interpretative possibilities that constantly redefine and reshape the complex relationship between writer-reader and writer-reader-as-critic
The article aims to be a tribute to the great Ticinese writer Anna Felder from the perspective of the translation of her prose into French. The objective, through a reflection on the challenges encountered during the translation process of her texts, is to explore some key aspects of her writing: in particular, her pervasive humor, the poetry of everyday life, and the importance given to objects. In doing so, it seemed essential to us to show how much Anna’s lectio had become our own, fostering a true bond of friendship and a genuine, rich, and fruitful literary dialogue. That is, to «accept some strangeness in the target language in favor of the original language»
Fifty years after dictator Francisco Franco’s death, it is evident that historians of different generations have formed contrasting perspectives on the Transition. This topic has been debated throughout various historical cycles and appeals to different political, cultural and civic groups. This introduction offers a three-tiered analysis. Firstly, it provides a historiographical framework that highlights contrasting interpretations of one of the most controversial periods in Spanish history. Secondly, it examines Spanish citizens through the lens of El Puente, a film by Juan Antonio Bardem that captures the atmosphere of 1977. Thirdly, it explores the cultural aspects of the Transition, arguing that discussing «transitions» can draw attention to the nuances experienced by various institutional and civic spaces when transitioning from a dictatorship to a parliamentary monarchy
This article discusses how the increasing interventions of non-state actors in education governance are shaping democratic decision-making in public schools. We focus on the effects of these interventions in public schools in Denmark, France, and Portugal regarding the interconnected dimensions typically advocated by non-state actors: the use of international large-scale assessments, accountability, datafication and digitalization of education. Despite the different cultural traditions and historical trajectories in these three countries, the paper shows that the intervention of non-state actors is being reinforced and tends paradoxically to weaken publicness in schools.

“I Have a Friend Named Time”: Interview with Greta Naufal
In this interview, Lebanese artist Greta Naufal (b. 1955) looks back at her beginnings as an artist during the 1980s, reflecting on her education and early exhibitions within the context of the ongoing war in Lebanon. Initially drawn to science, her passion for art had already taken root during her teenage years through painting workshops at ALBA, where she studied under Guvder. The practice of painting became an intuitive form of expression, later deepened by her engagement with theoretical texts and visits to museums in Europe. Despite societal and institutional challenges, she pursued Fine Arts at the Lebanese University’s Raouche campus, where she was mentored by prominent Lebanese artists such as Aref El Rayess, Yvette Achkar and Amine El Bacha. Naufal recalls both moments of inspiration and instances of gender discrimination. Her formative years were shaped by resilience, passion and a deep connection to painting. In 1985, the artist travelled to Paris to pursue a PhD at the Sorbonne under Marc Le Bot, with a research proposal on the impact of war on Lebanese artists. Despite her efforts, Le Bot never responded, and she returned to Beirut due to escalating violence. Over the following years, her art continued to respond to her lived experience, shaped by war. Exhibitions like The Way of the Cross (1986) and Nine Months (1987) focused on survival, maternity and loss. She was part of pivotal events like Beirut Tabaan (1989), which fostered cross-sectorial artistic collaboration. Her works evolved into installations and performances, such as the 1993 happening in a ruined cathedral. She sees herself as a link between generations, concerned by the erasure of artists who remained during the war, emphasizing the lasting relevance of resistance and time

Talent identification and development in judo: A systematic review
This review synthesizes the existing literature about talent identification and development in judo and provides evidence-based suggestions to help researchers and practitioners in this area. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were used to identify relevant studies (n = 45). The mean quality of the evidence was 94.0%. Most of the studies were published between the years 2014 and 2021 with cross-sectional designs and group comparisons or performance prediction. Studies used batteries of tests focused on expert or advanced samples and measured individual constraints. Few studies examined female samples, psychological skills or biological maturation. Only 20% of the studies used multivariate analyses. On closer examination, there was a high degree of variability in the indicators that were found to discriminate between skilled and less-skilled judo athletes, predict performance and/or predict career pathway. Research in talent identification and development in judo has generally focused on individual constraints related to anthropometric and physiological characteristics, and technical skills in cross-sectional designs. Very little is known about what talent indicators discriminate high skilled judo athletes or predict actual performance or future success. Future research should adopt multidimensional and longitudinal approaches that integrate existing findings about the maturational, psychological and environmental aspects of judo for tracking the most talented judo athletes, especially in female samples
