Terrasse à Rome (2000), a short novel by Pascal Quignard, demands a fragmentary mode of reading, one dominated by description and guided by associative, multifaceted movements. Through a close reading of a passage, this article explores the role of reading in Quignard’s work both as a readerly gesture and as a recurring thematic motif linked to errancy. The novel’s discontinuous and shifting prose calls for a reading pact attuned to the demands of scriptural wandering, challenging the reader with elliptical writing that suggests more than it explains. Only by embracing a “Quignardian” mode of reading can one fully enjoy the pleasures of wandering and connect the motifs of the text, thereby renewing the conventional paradigm of reading

Starting from a well-known letter to the author by Italo Calvino, the contribution investigates the presence of characteristics attributable to a certain type of poetic language in Anna Felder’s narrative prose, focusing attention on her debut novel, Tra dove piove e non piove, on La disdetta and on the later Le Adelaidi. The attempt is to bring out in these works some structural mechanisms, not just lexical or rhetorical, which establish a dialogue between prose and poetry, and which will become one of the most notable characteristics of Felderian prose

Le Adelaidi, Anna Felder’s latest work of wide scope, presents within a structure alien to the modes proper to the narrative text the relationship between a female character, Adelaide, unconscious, mute and immobile, and a male one, Ottone, alert, loquacious and active. The two are defined by antithetical categories that make all communication apparently impossible: nevertheless, their relationship resolves in an intimate and indissoluble unity

The work of Anna Felder challenges boundaries and categorisations. Her fictions are extremely short, their plots are minimal, characterized by opacity and strangeness, despite the apparent everydayness of their settings and elements. Felder’s language is so musical to make her narratives prose poems, and this musicality is further enhanced by a multilingualism that goes even beyond Swiss borders. Using the concept of epiphany as my focus, my contribution analyses these structures in the novel Le Adelaidi and the short stories of Nati complici. Thus, Anna Felder emerges as an author taking an original place in European literary modernity, between Joyce, Proust, Baudelaire and Montale, adapting modernism’s techniques and theorems to a Swiss context

Starting from the evolution of the concept and the main criticisms it has been subjected to, we proceed to reassess the usefulness of the CT hypothesis for the cultural history of democratic Spain

This essay explores the thought of Juan Carlos Rodríguez (JCR), a Spanish literary theorist whose work redefined the study of literature and subjectivity as the historical articulation of ideological contradictions. Beginning at a very specific historical and political context during the final years of the Franco dictatorship, Rodríguez insisted on approaching literature not as an autonomous entity, but as the objectification of ideological conflicts that exceed the individuality of the author. Through his reading of the Spanish Transition, he diagnosed a broader transformation of Spain’s cultural field from the 1970s through the 2008 crisis. For Rodríguez, the Transition was not just a historical episode or a chapter in a national narrative, but the culmination of a secular process of social transformation that continues to shape our present. The Spanish Transition was therefore less the end of Francoism than an unexpected moment in the evolution of capitalism, revealing the extent to which capitalist ideology permeates not only the economic realm, but also subjectivity, language, and literature itself. If, as Rodríguez argues, literature is a space to construct, explore, and question identity within a specific social formation, then the Transition remains central to any reflection on the role of literature today

This paper intends to examine the ideas behind the rebuttal of the Spanish transition to democracy carried out by Rafael Chirbes throughout his literary career. The aim is to tackle the different aspects that the characterization of this process as a long betrayal acquires in his writing; a betrayal which the author also inserted in the national historical tradition and pointed out critically from its development. In Chirbes’ historical interpretation, the transition to democracy, exerted by a part of his generation, was a betrayal to various sectors, ranging from the defeated of the same generation to the members of the previous one, the working class or the republican exile

    No full text
The aim, besides instructing teachers on ER, was to create a community allowing them to exchange ideas with colleagues from other regions of Switzerland. In this work, the effectiveness of the camp was evaluated using the "Robotics Interest Questionnaire", an instrument to assess ER knowledge and self-efficacy, interest, collaborative work and problem solving. In addition to the questionnaire, interviews were conducted to explore teachers\u27 ideas, perceptions and evaluations of the camp experience. The results show a positive trend between pre- and post-test in all dimensions involved and a statistically significant difference in the factor of self-efficacy and ER knowledge (p<.001) and in problem solving (p=0.047).Il Robotic Camp è una formazione per insegnanti sulla robotica educativa (ER).
