    Get PDF
\ud The master's thesis is oriented towards risk management in PPP construction projects and exploration of risk identification and analysis. Standard ISO 31000:2009 is presented. Analysis of various ways of classification and distribution (allocation) of risks was made. Identification\ud of risk management factors in creating a PPP, and application of risk management factors in different documents were performed. An overview of the investment on the basis of PPP since the first implementation of field sectoral law was prepared. Foreign practices for a preparation of an allocation of risks were analyzed and it was established which preliminary processes determined it. The method of focus groups was used as a possible and appropriate way of risk analysis. A new tool was developed to support the process of management of risks in PPP\ud construction projects.\ud \u

    Get PDF
In the graduate thesis, we made a preposition of energetic renovation of an old homestead, which was built in 1869. A preliminary study was carried out to assess the situation. We took measurements of the building, which we have used in the preparation of plans and construction sets. With the help of the web site www.u-wert.net, we made an analysis of the energy balance. After the analysis of the current materials and with the help of the geometrical characteristics, we made an analysis of the energy performance. Energy performance calculations were carried out with the help of a software tool known as TOST, which is devoted to calculate energy balance of a building by PURES 2010, SIST EN ISO 13790 and TSG-1-004:2010. The energy performance of the current situation was not appropriate, the results were expected. After the energy performance calculations, we made the analysis of insolation with software tool SketchUp LSS Chronolux. With its help we analysed the effects of insolation at chosen points on building envelope. After the analysis of insolation, we prepared a preposition of energy renovation of the old homestead. We carried out energy renovation with energy efficiency improvements and retained the current appearance of the homestead in the best possible way. We calculated the energy performance for two different modes – depending on the position of the thermal isolation within the exterior wall. With preposition of energy renovation we improved energy efficiency of the building. Energy performance of both cases – position of thermal isolation on the outside or on the inside was suitable, differnces were small - approximately ten percent

    Get PDF
The thesis we want to show and demonstrate the possibility of influencing the preparation and planning of the project and changes in the implementation of construction projects.\ud In the thesis we chose the example of the project of the construction works and renovation and enlargement works of the hotel building "Palace Hotel" in Portorož. First of all it is made, an analysis of the project and on this basis, it is made a model of organization for the implementation phase of preparation and planning projects for the \ud construction and renovation\ud of facilities. With the model of organization, we determined that it would be possible to carry out\ud successful renovation of the facility and thereby prevent the occurrence of some major changes, which\ud are also presented in this thesis.\ud In the next step, it is necessary to examine the theoretical foundations for the management of change\ud control and present them. With the examination of the theoretical model for managing changes\ud control, in the thesis, we give the opinions on the conducted performed procedures, which have been\ud taken to carry out the changes.\ud Based on the analysis procedures carried out are presented as measures and improvements that could\ud contribute to the effective implementation of individual project changes. Using a model for monitoring\ud change control in the construction phase of the facility could contribute to the successful achievement\ud of goals of the entire project

    Steel railway bridges in Slovenia

    Get PDF
The introductory part of the thesis describes the development of bridges and the emergence of steel bridges in Slovenia. It discusses the proportion of steel bridges in Slovenia, their type of construction, static system and type of intersection.\ud The second part of the thesis discusses the requirements given in the rules on the substructure of bridging structures and provides a detailed overview of individual elements (track, clear profile, ground plan geometry, distance between track centres, sleepers, jointed track, switch, insulation joint, load testing, signs on constructions).\ud As for the third part, it contains a summary of Eurocode 3, the process of designing a steel construction as well as loads and load cases. It also points to the significance of structural details for the construction's life span.\ud Moreover, it touches on the issues of steel bridges – corrosion, descriptions and types of corrosion, preparation of steel surfaces for anti-corrosion protection, and approaches to tackling corrosion. The majority of steel railway bridges in Slovenia are over 80 years old and in a very bad condition in terms of the level of corrosion. The situation is a result of infrequent maintenance of the anti-corrosion protection and even neglect of this aspect of maintenance. To this end, the final part of the thesis discusses how corrosion causes fatigue and decreases pylon thickness, and outlines the methods for determining the loss of material due to corrosion.\ud Considering the fact that the majority of the bridges have already exceeded their envisaged life span and that their maintenance was rather poor, it is clear that they are worn out and in need of thorough renovation

Web application for seismic rulnevability assessment of masonry buildings

    Get PDF
In this thesis a web application for seismic vulnerability analysis of masonry buildings, which was developed in PHP programming language, is presented. Firstly, masonry \ud buildings and their behaviour during the seismic event are briefly described. Follows a description of the theoretical background of the simplified nondlinear analysis for seismic performance assessment of masonry buildings. The method is based on simplified pushover analysis with consideration of storydshear plastic mechanisms and the incremental dynamic analysis, which is performed by equivalent single degree of freedom model. Results of the analysis are simplified IDA curves. They can be used to estimate a sample of maximum acceleration causing different limit states, which represents the input data for the calculation of the structure’s seismic fragility curves. Different set of accelergorams, which were selected to be used in the web application, and the procedure for calculation of seismic fragility curves are also presented. In the fifth chapter, the procedure, principles and programming languages used to create the application are described. Follows description and demonstration of the use of web application. For the investigated masonry building it is shown that the limitdstate accelerations obtained by the web application are similar to the results based on the equivalent frame model. Some larger difference can be observed in the distribution of damage in structural elements for a designated limit state. In the conclusion, possibilities for future development and use of the application is discussed. \u

Technology procedure selection for bridge over Dobličica in Črnomelj

    Get PDF
The aim of the diploma thesis is determination of criteria for the selection of technology used in the structure under consideration – bridge. The construction presents, from logistic and organisational view, significant endeavour due to demanding terrain and lack of space available for construction activities. The tender documentation indicated that the bridge under construction will have two supporting columns and two abutments, where the expansion joints were planned as well. The selected contractor proposed, in accordance with the construction contract, re-design where an integral structure (continuous frame) with no expansion joints was foreseen. After approval of the client, the contractor selected scaffolding that can be composed and decomposed fast and efficiently after tensioning the cables. In order to reduce the costs, the contractor decided to execute the foundations and substructure in the fall, while the superstructure and the final works were executed in the spring and the fall of the second year

BIM for production and using of the programme Dietrich's

    Get PDF
Nowadays, computer programs are used for planning of wooden prefabricated and skeletal houses. In our case, we use program of German origin named Dietrich's. Advantages of the programme are visualization of the final visual image of the building, which is one of the first conditions of individuals when building houses. Based on final tracing with the help of the programme, we get amounts of the used material and therefore, price, which is of essential importance for the contractor and the investor. A big advantage, which is enabled by the programme, is that we can transfer the whole project to the computer led machined CNC. The programme has been translated into 11 different languages, including Slovene, which is a big advantage for the constructor, because there have been used many expert words from carpentry.\ud There is the whole procedure of the one family house tracing in the diploma thesis precisely presented. There are wooden connectors, which are mostly used for construction of such house, described. BIM model is described, which used 33 cubic meters of wood – BHS (laminated pasted wood) and KVH (longitudinally pasted wood). After CNC cut followed construction of skeletal walls and then closing of them with OSB plates. These works were done in the workshop of the company. All together lasted approximately two weeks. When we build in that way, we need 3 to 4 weeks to construct a house for moving in

Experimental analysis of bolted joints from FRP

    Get PDF
This thesis presents the behaviour of FRP composite bolted connections with one steel bolt exposed to tension load. The experimental analysis of three different configuration of bolted connection with one bolt has been conducted with the tension test. The distance between the center of the hole and the loaded edge of the composite plate is the only changing parameter, where the rest are all constant. Additionally, we checked the current equations, which are in use by the company Fiberline to design one bolt FRP connections. The introduction of the thesis discusses the basic of the FRP materials with their composition, mechanical characteristics, production methods together with standards and guidelines for design of structural elements and connections made of FRP materials. This is followed by the detailed description of the specimen and the test setup itself. The distance between the loaded FRP plate edge and the center of the bolt hole with the diameter of d is for the first series of specimens 1.5*d, for the second is 3.5*d and for the last one is 7*d. Each series contained 4 specimens. During the experiment conduction the force and the relative displacement of the steel bolt have been recorded. \ud Due to the bearing stress of the bolt the specimens have experienced different failure mechanisms in relationship to the distance between the center of the bolt hole and the loaded edge of the composite plate. As expected, the worst behaviour of the tested connections has shown the connection with the shortest distance (1.5*d). This type of connections has no post fracture load bearing capacity after the first recorded damage and represents brittle failure. For the other two configurations of specimens with longer distance between center of the bolt hole and the loaded edge of the FRP plate we observed ductile behaviour and good post fracture behaviour. This shows that we must ensure the minimum adequate distance between center of the bolt hole and loaded FRP plate edge whenever we use this type of connections for structural purposes. We additionally confirmed the failure mechanisms in relationship to the distance between the center of the bolt hole and the loaded FRP plate edge which are stated in the internal design manual of the company Fiberline
