    Get PDF
In the past many loadbearing systems in timber construction has been developed. The basic systems are: log construction, timber-frame construction, balloon-frame and platform-frame construction, panel construction, frame construction nad solid timber construction. For multistorey\ud timber buildings are preferred: frame construction, panel construction and timber solid construction. Based on many research, a large numer of multi-storey timber construction has been built. I presented some of them: Murray Grove Tower, The Tree, Hoho tower and Tamedia.Slovenia has not many new buildings made of wood, according to forestation. The main reason for that is lack of knowledge of advanced timber construction. Also it has very little multi-storey timber construction, because it belong to coutries with high seismic threat and seismic loadbearing of timber construction has not been explored yet. I have presented\ud office building Eltima and storehouse Ekoprodukt. Many slovenian companies have participated in construction of multi-storey timber buildings. Some of them i presented in this thesis

The course of major investment constructions does not resolve without complications. It often results in time and cost deviations. This is an especially delicate matter when it comes to public investments. This thesis describes the course of construction through public procurement. It starts with a general description of the facility and the objective of the investment, followed by an inventory of planned works on the basis of which the tender ocumentation is prepared. On the basis of the tenders, the contractor with the cheapest offer is selected, followed by the signing of the construction contract. After just a short time of executing construction works it is revealed that additional works will be required and that the construction time will be extended. The reasons for the agreement to the annex are described along the thesis. Finally, the comparisons of the engineering estimate, the contract value and the final value of the works are shown and described

    Get PDF
Terrestrial laser scanning is a method of data collection, which in a short period of time captures millions of points . The result of the scan is a point cloud, which is then processed to the desired result with the software that makes this possible. In this thesis, we scanned two musical instruments and used two scanner: Riegl VZ - 400 and Leica Nova MS50 MultiStation. When processing the data we have\ud used AutoCAD and PRO Rîşcani. The final point cloud was then forwarded to the company that deals with 3D engraving of glass . The result of the thesis is a glass cube, which is engraved with a cloud of points representing the saxophone

Concept of regulation of Gereš torrent

Slovenia has a very diverse relief. It has also unevenly distributed rainfall. The area of torrent Gereš is located in north-western Slovenia, which is quite hilly and may receive an annual rainfall up to 3000 mm. That is the reason for a lot of torrential areas causing many troubles in that part of country. In this thesis, I have focused on the critical section of the torrent, where water cross the embankments and endanger nearby residential buildings. On the basis of empirical equations I have estimated the runoff from the catchment area, which I have determined with the help of program SAGA-GIS.I have made a review of the channel and proposed a concept of flood-protection regulation

Printing of construction components; illusion or reality?

    Get PDF
The thesis deals with possibilities of printing of load bearing constructions with the use of a 3D printer. Therefore in the introduction, advantages and positive impacts of this technology both in the field of environmental protection, as well as in the financial sector are presented, followed by classification and short presentation of different technologies. The focus is also made on the significance of how fibers orientation in the FDM printed specimens effects on tensile, flexural and fatigue strengths. Furthermore, achievements of 3D printing in construction are presented, and, in detail, the field of metal construction printing and construction components, respectively. Additionally, a bridge in Amsterdam is presented as an example of 3D printer capability to build load bearing constructions. It also shows us advantages that 3D printing has over traditionally used construction techniques. With topological optimization of truss nodes, it is shown that use of 3D printing technology in construction enables a new approach to construction designing; we can build lighter constructions and use the construction material only in places where it is crucial. This is due to the unique ability to print any form, without additional expenses. Besides topological optimization, the thesis also includes material optimization, which gets a whole new meaning using 3D printing technology. It is possible to develop new materials which are stronger, yet lighter this way. 3D Printing of building construction is not an illusion, it is only a question of when and to what extent will this technology replace the well-established techniques of building construction

Conceptual design of water supply village Rakitovec

    Get PDF
The thesis discusses drinking water supply in the village Rakitovec.\ud The initial part of the thesis presents the theoretical principles on which the thesis is based.\ud Following is a detailed description of the current conditions and the situation in the old part of the village, which ten years ago got the water supply and sewer system. At the time it was planned that in two years the pipeline would be constructed for the new part of the village till the railway station, however due to lack of financial funds the project has never been realized. Therefore, the old part of the village is still supplied with water by rainwater collectors. It is pointed out which would be the optimal route for constructing the connection of the existing water reservoir of Rakitovec with the nearby village Zazid, which is connected to the public water supply chain, along with a brief description of the water supply of the village Zazid.\ud The next chapter offers solutions for the supply of drinking water in the village Rakitovec and an opinion on all possible situations; whether the conditions continue to remain unchanged, a pipeline for the new part of the village is established and connected with the existing water reservoir, the water reservoir in Rakitovec gets connected to the public water supply of the nearby village Zazid or if this connection is not realized

This thesis contains the design of footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists that spans over highway A2 on the section Kranj east – Brnik. The introduction contains general characteristics of timber bridges and basic instructions to designing cycle-friendly infrastructures. In the following chapters present the basic design of the footbridge and the characteristics of the various materials used. The thesis then elaborates the main loads on the structure, their combinations and their application on the four interconected models prepared with computer program SAP2000. As a product of static and modal analysis, the internal forces were used in the proces of constructing the main elements of the bridge and their connestions.\ud For the primary load-bearing structure of the footbridge, two glued laminated timber beams of dimensions 40/180 cm were chosen. In the transverse direction, the two primary beams are connected by 23 steel frames of quality S355, positioned at a mutual distance of 3 m. Primary beams are connected with a steel profile HEB200 in the horizontal direction and with two steel profile HEB200 the vertical direction. In the transverse direction steel profiles are connected with steel diagonals φ20 and quality S235. The secondary load-bearing structure of the bridge is represented by the five glued laminated timber beams, of dimensions 24/26 cm, positioned at a mutual axial distance of 0,59 m. The surface of the footbridge consists of\ud oak wood with dimensions 20/12 cm

The analysis of the preparation of a cadastral report in the context of the project "Regulation of railroad crossings on the section... Pragersko-Hodoš"

    Get PDF
In the graduation thesis, the preparation of a cadastral report in the context of the construction of public infrastructure with the study case of the project »Regulation of railroad crossings on the section Pragersko–Hodoš under reconstruction and electrification of rail line Pragersko–Hodoš« is presented. The content of\ud project documentation is laid down by the legislation, but specific requirements related to the individual project, particularly in the public procurement, are identified by the investor in the terms of reference (ToR). A cadastral report is not a mandatory part of the content of the construction project documentation. However, a project investor needs data on parcels affected by planned project and the request for the preparation of a cadastral report is usually made in the ToR. A cadastral report with the data about affected land parcels as well as data about planned spatial intervention is, among the other, used for the determination of planned land acquisition and establishment of easements on real properties. Cadastral\ud data and project designer data with planned spatial interventions and utility infrastructure, serve as the\ud basis for the preparation of a cadastral report. The first part of the thesis is reserved for the presentation of\ud the legislation that is required in the formulation of such a project, followed by the summary of basic concepts of the land cadastre. For the study case, the most common errors i.e. uncertainties of the land cadastre graphical subsystem that must be eliminated are presented and discussed. For such a project, the assessment of the positional accuracy of land cadastral data is needed, drawing attention to possible deviations in nature. In the conclusion, the preparation processes and the content of cadastral report for the chosen project are presented. Additionally, the following land subdivisions based on the cadastral report\ud are presented for the study case

Energetic sanation of Villa in Murska Sobota

In my thesis, I study energetic restoration of a thermally uninsulated building Hartnerjeva vila on Grajska street 2 in Murska Sobota. Through fieldwork, I capture the current status of the object, its geometry and how it is preserved. In the energetic restoration of this historically protected building, I include thermal insulation of the outer layer of the building, replacement of doors and windows with transparent elements, improvement of ventilation as well as an increase of the efficiency of its systems. Firstly, I calculate thermal characteristics of each construction compound with the computer program TEDI. Secondly, I study the sun exposure of the building. In accordance with the regulations (Pravilnik o učinkoviti rabi energije v stavbah PURES 2010), I make calculations for the thermal balance of buildings in 9 different ways with the computer program TOST. At first, I do not consider thermal bridges; subsequently, I calculate them in a simplified manner; and lastly, using the SIST EN ISO 14683 standard. I compare the results and analyze the energetic balance of the building. The study has shown that the heat loss in the existing building is too high. From all of my cases, my last one managed to reduce the yearly energy consumption for heating by three and a half times. Because of thermal bridges the energy consumption increased, but not more than 28 %. The minimum effect of thermal bridges is shown by the starting status using the simplified manner of consideration of thermal bridges
