Cultivating digital entrepreneurship skills through empowering senior high school teachers
Indonesia faces the challenge of escaping the middle-income trap, despite having achieved the status of an upper-middle-income country. One important step in encouraging economic growth is to increase the number of entrepreneurs through strengthening entrepreneurship education. This community service activity aims to develop the entrepreneurial skills of SMK PK teachers in Surabaya through a Workshop on developing a Digital Entrepreneurship Mindset. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method is utilized to engage teachers in discussions and solution development through enrichment sessions and project-based activities. This program is designed to teach the principles of digital entrepreneurship and how to apply the Empathy Map to develop critical thinking skills for identifying consumer needs. The results of the pretest and posttest show an improvement in the understanding of entrepreneurship among the teachers of SMK PK Surabaya, with the main outputs being an Empathy Map and innovative methods for teaching entrepreneurship. This workshop successfully encouraged the development of entrepreneurial skills at SMK PK Surabaya, which has the potential to support the increase in the number of young entrepreneurs and accelerate Indonesia's economic growth
The role of artificial intelligence in co-creation of health professions education: Integrating innovation into collaboration: AMEE Guide No. 190
Co-creation has emerged as a transformative approach to meaningful collaboration among students, teachers, and other key stakeholders. Although co-creation aims to integrate all stakeholders’ diverse perspectives and foster engagement, motivation, and ownership among them, some practical challenges can impact its implementation. The operationalization of co-creation needs a feasible, step-by-step plan to address interpersonal, practical, and institutional challenges, which can undermine co-creation. This guide examines how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be leveraged across all phases of the co-creation cycle—preparation, conduction, and follow-up. It offers innovative insights into the intentional deployment of AI tools to enhance collaboration while preserving the relational essence of co-creation. We describe how AI can facilitate recruitment of diverse participants, design and planning of co-creation activities, brainstorming, shared decision-making, process evaluation, dissemination of outcomes, and integration of co-created outcomes into the curricula. This guide applies the Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition (SAMR) model and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework to theoretically examine how AI can enhance or fundamentally reshape co-creation. It also underscores essential ethical considerations for integrating AI into co-creation. After reading this guide with comprehensive and practical guidelines, educators can effectively integrate AI into co-creation initiatives, aiming to enhance both the processes and outcomes of co-creation
Fathers of children with autism negotiating parenting roles in Indonesia: (un)masking hegemonic masculinity?
Located at the intersection of family, gender, and disability studies in the Global South, this research engages with the ways fathers of neurodivergent children in Indonesia negotiates traditional masculinity and gender roles in their parenting. It contributes to scholarship in two areas: (1) family research on parents of neurodivergent children which hitherto mainly represent mothers’ experience instead of fathers’, and (2) gender studies on parenting which often overlook specific local conditions and contextual discourses to advance gender equality in the Global South. Using qualitative data from 14 fathers of neurodivergent children, our analysis reveals three discourses drawn upon by participants to contest traditional gender norms in their role as fathers, namely, a discourse of an exceptional situation, a discourse of the child’s future, and a discourse of benevolent sexism. While these discourses might not fundamentally subvert wider patriarchal parenting norms; nevertheless, they are viable for these Indonesian fathers to adopt more equal roles
Mapping Critical Success Factors of Open Innovation in the Indonesian Manufacturing Industry Using Fuzzy Delphi
This study aims to map Critical Success Factors (CSFs) in the implementation of open innovation (OI) in the Indonesian manufacturing industry. The initial identification
of critical factors was conducted through a review of relevant literature, while the filtering process to determine the most significant CSFs was conducted using the Fuzzy Delphi method (FDM). The literature review resulted in 15 initial CSFs. Furthermore, 11 CSFs were deemed relevant and 4 others were deemed irrelevant through FDM involving
15 expert panels from academia and manufacturing industry practitioners. Of the 11 accepted CSFs, the four most crucial factors in supporting successful OI implementation
are: leadership commitment, mutual trust, intellectual property protection strategy, and government support. Meanwhile, the four factors considered less influential in the context of Indonesia’s manufacturing industry are: employee competence, corporate strategy, internal social cohesion, and digital capability and readiness. The practical implication of these findings is the availability of clearer guidance for industry players and the government
regarding the critical factors that need to be considered and prepared to improve the success of OI implementation in the manufacturing sector
Comparative Analysis of Solar Energy Policies and Deployment in ASEAN Countries
The ASEAN region, characterized by rapid economic growth and increasing energy demand, has emerged as a critical area for renewable energy development, particularly solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This study provides a comparative analysis of solar energy policies and deployment across selected ASEAN countries, examining regulatory frameworks, incentive mechanisms, and market development. Using a qualitative-quantitative approach, the research evaluates policy effectiveness by analyzing solar PV capacity growth, targets within national renewable energy plans, and alignment with regional sustainability commitments, including ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) and the Paris Agreement. The findings reveal significant disparities in policy ambition and implementation. Countries such as Vietnam and Thailand demonstrate rapid deployment through strong feed-in tariff schemes and investment incentives, while others, including Indonesia and the Philippines, face challenges due to regulatory complexity and financial barriers. Singapore's innovation-driven policies highlight the role of technology and grid management in addressing land scarcity. The study concludes that harmonizing policies and fostering cross-border collaboration can accelerate ASEAN's solar energy transition. Recommendations are provided for enhancing policy design, investment frameworks, and regional cooperation to achieve a sustainable and inclusive low-carbon future
Review: Potential of Legume Seeds from the Leguminosae Family as Material Source of Food and Medicine
Leguminosae, also known as Fabaceae, is the third largest plant family after Orchidaceae and Asteraceae.
This review aimed to explore the potential of several legume species indigenous to Indonesia, from the
Leguminosae family, as sources of food and medicine. The data used for the analysis were collected
from various online databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. The results showed
that there were 13 species of Leguminosae family plants found easily in Indonesia including Cajanus
cajan, Canavalia ensiformis, Mucuna pruriens, Arachis hypogaea, Vigna subterranea, Glycine max,
Phaseolus vulgaris, Phaseolus lunatus, Vigna radiata, Vigna unguiculata subsp. unguiculata, Vigna
angularis, Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis, and Pisum sativum. Among these species, several
plants have been underutilized as food material, including C. cajan, C. ensiformis, M. pruriens, and P.
lunatus. These 13 legume plants generally contain carbohydrates, proteins, starch, fats, and minerals,
making them valuable as potential food sources. They also predominantly contain secondary metabolites,
such as polyphenols and flavonoids (e.g., genistein, daidzein, cajanin), which have significant potential
to be developed into pharmacologically active compounds

In the era of growing digitalization, the retail world is experiencing significant generational changes, the world of markets and logistics has a very close influence in influencing customer satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of logistics service quality regarding factors that influence customer satisfaction, loyalty and future purchases on buying and selling platforms. Using the Smart PLS application 4. Factors tested include timeliness, order conditions, order accuracy, information quality, order availability, order procedures, and order guarantee quality. The research results show that timeliness, quality and ordering procedures have a positive effect on customer satisfaction, increasing purchase intentions and loyalty in the future period. Meanwhile, ordering conditions, ordering accuracy and service quality do not have a positive effect. This research suggests the market should focus more on on-time delivery, accurate information, and a smooth ordering process to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and future purchase intent
Simulation-Based Enhancement of Warehouse Layout and Inventory Control in An Indonesian Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
Background: PT X, a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Indonesia, faces challenges in inventory management due to the lack of an optimal reorder system. This problem leads to overstock and high costs. Additionally, disorganized warehouse arrangements for packaging materials complicate retrieval and prolong order-picking times.
Purpose: This study aims to optimize inventory management and improve warehouse layout to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Design/methodology/approach: Inventory optimization was achieved using a two-pronged approach. The probabilistic Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method was applied for items classified as Category A, while a periodic review method was used for items in Categories B and C. ABC analysis and demand forecasting informed the reorder quantities. A class-based storage system was implemented to improve warehouse layout, grouping packaging materials
by type and organizing them sequentially according to ABC classification. Simulations in Promodel 6.0 compared warehouse conditions before and after improvements.
Findings/Results: The optimized inventory system reduced total costs by 0.66%, from IDR26,809,071,104.17 to IDR26,630,856,055. The improved warehouse layout decreased order-picking time by 21.9%, from 19.14 minutes to 14.95 minutes, and reduced movement distances by 21.9%, from 1,469.97 meters to 1,148.03 meters.
Conclusion: Integrating inventory optimization using a probabilistic EOQ and periodic review system with a class-based storage layout effectively reduces costs and enhances productivity in warehouse management. According to the ABC classification, the sequential arrangement significantly improves order-picking efficiency by reducing movement distances and time.
Originality/Value (State of the Art): This study offers a novel combination of probabilistic EOQ, periodic review, and class-based storage, validated through simulation, to address inventory and warehouse management challenges in the pharmaceutical industry. Personal Data Protection On International Digital Trade: Harmonizing State Regulations Through A Common Standard
The advancement of digital trade has brought considerable benefits, yet it also presents significant challenges, particularly in protecting users’ personal data. Digital trade platforms commonly require users to share personal information, raising concerns over data security and accountability. Current regulations governing personal data protection are primarily limited to national or regional legal systems, resulting in a lack of harmonization that impedes the seamless flow of international trade. This paper explores the pressing need for a standardized global framework for personal data protection within the digital trade landscape. Using a normative juridical approach, the study examines various regional legal regimes and assesses the relevance of international trade principles in addressing data protection issues. The analysis highlights the absence of a globally recognized standard for personal data protection in digital trade and finds that existing international instruments are inadequate for meeting current challenges. Given UNCITRAL’s role in shaping international trade law, the development of a new legal framework, such as a Model Law, should be pursued. As a form of soft law, a Model Law offers a practical and adaptable tool for harmonizing legal standards across jurisdictions. Its adoption would enhance legal certainty and ensure the protection of personal data in international digital trade transactions, thereby upholding the rights of all parties involved
Dot-blot assay with AlCl3 reagent for rapid screening of total flavonoid content in food and herbal medicine material
The determination of total flavonoid content (TFC) through the aluminum chloride (AlCl3) colorimetric test
utilizing spectrophotometry is commonly used as a parameter for evaluating the quality of processes as well
as food and herbal medicines materials. Nonetheless, it is laborious, lengthy, and necessitates substantial
amounts of chemicals. This study aims to develop and validate the dot-blot assay with AlCl3 reagent for
determining TFC in plant materials. In this method, the samples were not subjected to chromatography;
instead, the plates were derivatized using AlCl3 in ethanol immediately after the application of samples and
evaporation the solvent. The Al(III)-flavonoid complex was scanned (421 nm) using a TLC-scanner. The
validation of the method was conducted on stability, linearity, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantifi�cation (LOQ), precision, accuracy, and robustness. The TFC of samples determined by dot-blot assay and
spectrophotometry was subsequently analyzed using linear regression and Pearson correlation. The dot-blot
assay for determining TFC met the stability parameter (RSD 5 1.31–8.25%), intraday precision
(RSD 5 2.20–6.11%), inter day precision (RSD 5 1.56%), linearity (r
2 5 0.9928), LOD (251.03 ng/spot),
LOQ (760.71 ng/spot), accuracy (recovery 5 70.81–75.61%), and robustness (RSD 5 2.55 and 7.60%). There
was a very strong positive linear relationship between the dot-blot assay method and spectrophotometry,
with a linear regression coefficient of 0.9078 and a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.911. The proposed
method proved to be simpler, faster, and more economical for determining TFC. Thus, the method was
beneficial in providing references for enhancing the quality control of food and herbal medicines
