Understanding the Dynamic of Fake Accounts to Combat Hoax Dissemination

The prevalence of hoaxes in Indonesia is not a new phenomenon. Over the past three years, there has been a consistent increase in the dissemination of hoaxes across various platforms in the country. Furthermore, with the onset of the pandemic, the spread of hoaxes related to Covid-19 has become particularly rampant. In 2021 itself, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics identified and debunked a total of 723 hoaxes pertaining to Covid-19. This research paper aims to examine the current state of hoax dissemination in Indonesia and identify the key factors contributing to their spread. The study adopts a normative legal research approach, drawing on data derived from books, journals, relevant laws, and regulations. The findings reveal that social media platforms play a significant role in the proliferation of hoaxes throughout Indonesia. The presence of numerous anonymous or fake accounts facilitates the easy dissemination of hoaxes via social media. Moreover, the lack of due diligence in verifying and fact-checking information creates a loophole that allows hoaxes to circulate within the community. In order to address this issue effectively, it is crucial to implement measures that target the root causes of hoax dissemination. This includes the development of stricter regulations and enforcement mechanisms to combat the creation and spread of hoaxes, particularly on social media platforms. By comprehensively understanding the dynamics and factors influencing the spread of hoaxes in Indonesia, policymakers, law enforcement agencies, and the general public can work together to combat this pressing issue

The development of an information system with an herbal database of East Java suppliers and distributors is necessary because the production and marketing activities of small businesses engaged in traditional medicine (UKOT) in Indonesia are heavily reliant on the choice and availability of distributors of herbal products and raw materials. Data were gathered via an interview with the Responsible Pharmacist (APJ) and documentation on PT X's records. Subsequently, the completed data generated from the chosen documentation was entered into the database which a component of PT X's internal information system. The analysis was conducted on PT X's internal database, with an emphasis on its completeness, correctness, and accessibility. Data preparation resulted in a number of suppliers (43 simplicia, 31 excipients and 13 packaging) and 80 distributors of finished products in East Java, which were entered into the PT X database. This result was obtained by 80% of data completeness evaluation ranges. All respondents properly answered questions about data about finished product suppliers and distributors from PT X's internal information system database. Ninety-three percent of respondents agree that the database in PT X's information system is very easy to access in terms of data display, language, and search feature function

Polyethyleneimine-assisted polydopamine co-deposition for fabricating loose reverse osmosis membranes with enhanced antifouling and selectivity for lithium extraction from geothermal brine

    No full text
This study presents the fabrication and evaluation of a nanofiltration membrane modified with poly- dopamine–polyethyleneimine (PDA–PEI), designed to mimic the characteristics of a loose reverse osmosis (LRO) membrane. The membrane exhibits relatively lower water permeability while providing enhanced selective ion rejection, enabling the effective separation of monovalent ions such as lithium from sodium and potassium, along with efficient rejection of divalent ions like magnesium and calcium in geothermal brine. Surface modification significantly enhanced hydrophilicity, antifouling resistance, and monovalent–divalent ion selectivity. The optimal membrane (PDA:PEI = 1:1) demonstrated improved salt rejection and a high selectivity ratio (SFLi+/ Mg2+ ≈ 7.8), with enhanced permeability (22.5 L⋅m 2⋅h 1⋅bar 1) and flux recovery (FRR up to 95.3 %) in real geothermal brine. Characterization revealed uniform surface morphology, decreased pore size, and increased negative charge and hydroxyl/amine functionalities that inhibited gypsum and silica scaling. These findings validate PDA – PEI modification as a robust strategy for advancing LRO membrane performance in lithium re- covery from complex brines

    No full text
Background and aim: Aging and increased life expectancy contribute to the rising prevalence of cognitive decline. Various diagnostic screening tools have been developed to assess cognitive function. While the impact of comorbidities on cognitive decline is well-established, further research is needed to understand their influence on diagnostic methods. This study explores the correlation between the MTA scale, Fazekas scale, and MoCA-INA, as well as the relationship between comorbidities and cognitive decline. Methods: This cross-sectional study used MRI scans to assess the Fazekas scale and MTA scale, while the MoCA-INA test was administered by a certified neurologist. Statistical analyses, including Spearman and ANOVA tests, were conducted to evaluate correlations between the MTA scale, Fazekas scale, and MoCA-INA scores. Chi-square and Pearson tests were applied to examine the relationship between comorbidities and cognitive decline. Results: The study sample included 18 males and 19 females. The MTA scale showed a significant negative correlation with cognitive decline (r = -0.513, p = 0.001). A combined analysis of MTA and Fazekas scale also yielded a significant negative correlation (r = -0.551, p = 0.002). Additionally, a significant correlation was found between stroke and small vessel disease with Fazekas scale (r = 0.342, p = 0.038). Conclusions: The MTA is a reliable scale for assessing cognitive decline. The combination of the Fazekas and MTA scale have a significant effect with cognitive decline. Stroke and small vessel disease influenced the Fazekas scale significantly. Further research is needed to explore the combined impact of brain imaging scales and comorbidities in dementia

    No full text
Tourism is the fastest-growing business and the second largest in the services sector after information technology worldwide. This tourism development is also the focus of the Indonesian Government on making Indonesia a world-class tourism destination through tourist villages, which is a program of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in the hope of accelerating revival and triggering tourism growth. This study proposes a segmentation model of community support and local entrepreneurs for tourism development using the Motivation, Opportunity, and Ability (MOA) approach to support tourism (support for tourism). The method used is structural equation modeling (SEM) using subgroup analysis. The research results show using the SEM approach that the support for the tourism model, which involves entrepreneur status (entrepreneur segment, non-entrepreneur segment) as moderation, is a suitable model. Motivation, Opportunity, and Ability have a significant effect on Support Tourism. Entrepreneur status has a significant influence in moderating MOA and has a strengthening effect on Support Tourism. In the entrepreneur segment model, Ability is the dominant variable that has a significant effect on Support Tourism, while in the non-entrepreneur segment model, motivation is the dominant variable that has a significant effect on Support Tourism

    No full text
Introduction: Hyperglycemia-induced neurotoxicity has been linked to the cerebellum, specifically the impairment of Purkinje cells; its relation to GABA neurotransmission has yet to be cleared. Objective: We conducted an updated review on the mechanism of hyperglycemia-induced impairment of cerebellar Purkinje cells in a rodent diabetic model. Methods: A modified ScR-PRISMA flow diagram was applied as the screening tool. All English-language research articles published between 2014 and 2024 that containing the purposed topics and were indexed in PubMed and Medline were included. These articles were then critically appraised using the JBI checklist to minimize potential bias. The final inclusion of 8 articles was included for analysis and discussion, together with additional retrieved articles. Results: Hyperglycemic-induced objects demonstrated a marked reduction in Purkinje and granular cell populations, accompanied by several morphological impairments. Alterations were observed in GABAergic inhibitory neurotransmission, including receptors and GABA synthesis, compared to controls. These findings are consistent with observed deficits in motor coordination and cerebellar function. Conclusion: Hyperglycemia produces adverse effects on the function and survival of Purkinje cells in the cerebellum. Impaired GABAergic neurotransmission might result as parts of oxidative stress and inflammation induced by hyperglycemia in the cerebellar cells. Taken altogether, these results in motor impairment and cognitive dysfunction

Kewenangan Penyidik Pegawai Negeri Sipil Ketenagakerjaan Melakukan Penyidikan Tindak Pidana Tunggakan Pembayaran Iuran Bpjs Sebagai Upaya Penegakan Hukum Ketenagakerjaan

    No full text
Namun, masih menghadapi kendala kelembagaan, koordinasi antar sektor, keterbatasan sumber daya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan peran PPNS Ketenagakerjaan agar dapat berjalan optimal dan memberikan efek jera bagi pelaku pelanggaran
