Get PDFBy exploring the importance of archeological images databases in the history of studies, the article presents the digital archiving activities initiated within the PNRR Changes, Spoke 8, Project. The objective of the activities is the attribution of metadata to this type of images, for the purpose of their dialogue with European infrastructures. This process represents a tool for supporting different knowledge paths and maximizing the accessibility of the Cultural Heritage, according to the goals of the Project. The article therefore presents the activity carried out so far, namely the development of a metadata table, developed following the recognition of the main national and international thesauri and taxonomies, as well as a first metadating experiment conducted on a dataset of approximately 600 images from A&C Journal

Get PDFIl presente articolo offre una sintetica disamina sul metodo di trasferimento di denaro tipicamente in uso nel continente africano, asiatico e nelle comunità islamiche detto hawāla i cui elementi costitutivi - tradizione, fiducia e onore - lo rendono uno strumento unico sotto il profilo culturale, prima ancora che criminale.
Il dato d’interesse è che l’arsenale di cui dispongono gli organi di polizia e l’Autorità Giudiziaria in materia di contrasto al riciclaggio di denaro potrebbe però rivelarsi quasi inibito di fronte a un meccanismo così rudimentale da risultare - per paradosso - più efficiente di sistemi di money transfer maggiormente raffinati o evoluti dal punto di vista tecnologico. Particolare focus è posto su Nigeria e Cina per la peculiare declinazione locale che l’hawāla lì assume.
Cet article traite brièvement de la méthode de transfert de fonds typiquement utilisée dans les continents africain et asiatique et dans les communautés islamiques, connue sous le nom de hawāla, dont les éléments constitutifs - tradition, confiance et honneur - en font un instrument unique d’abord du point de vue culturel, avant de l’être sous la perspective criminelle.
Le fait intéressant est que les outils dont les autorités policières et judiciaires disposent dans la lutte contre le blanchiment d’argent pourrait cependant s’avérer presque inhibé face à un mécanisme si rudimentaire qui est - paradoxalement - plus efficace que les systèmes de transfert d'argent plus raffinés ou technologiquement plus avancés. Un accent particulier est mis sur le Nigeria et la Chine pour la déclinaison locale particulière que le hawāla prend dans ces pays.
This paper offers a brief examination of the money transfer method typically used in the African and Asian continents and in Islamic communities called hawāla whose constituent elements - tradition, trust and honor - make a credit instrument unique from a cultural perspective, even before a criminal one.
The interesting fact is that the arsenal available to the police and the judicial authorities in the matter of combating money laundering could, however, prove almost inhibited in front of a mechanism so rudimentary as to be - paradoxically - much more efficient than more refined or technologically advanced money transfer systems

Nuclear double charge exchange reactions by induced isotensor interactions
Get PDFThe theory of heavy ion double charge exchange (DCE) reactions is recapitulated with focus on Double Single Charge Exchange (DSCE) and Majorana DCE (MDCE) reactions. DSCE reactions are of second–order distorted wave (DW) character, mediated by isovector nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions and matrix elements similar to 2ν2β decay. The MDCE process proceeds by an induced rank-2 isotensor interaction, given by off–shell pion–nucleon scattering, leading to pion potentials similar to the neutrino potentials in 0ν2β decay
Neutrino masses, oscillations and neutrinoless double-beta decay
Get PDFThe theory of neutrino-neutrino and neutrino-antineutrino oscillations is revisited. The neutrino production and detection processes are part of a single Feynman diagram with initial and final states represented by plane waves. The revised S-matrix approach guarantees the energy-momentum conservation in neutrino oscillations. The formalism is manifested in the processes involving νμ−νe and νμ−νe oscillations. The obtained results address the question about the justification of disentanglement of the three involved processes- production, propagation, and absorption of neutrinos. Further, a connection between the neutrinoless double-beta decay (0νββ-decay) and neutrino-antineutrino oscillations is discussed. It is pointed out that if the effective Majorana mass governing the 0νββ-decay is strongly
suppressed, a more favorable process of proving the Majorana nature of neutrinos is that which incorporates neutrino-antineutrino (or vice versa) oscillations at certain
distances. The question remains: what should be the neutrino source in such a case
