No full textThe aim of this thesis is to propose a Passive Rule-Based Approach named PRBA to detect sinkhole attacks in 6LoWPAN RPL-based IoT Networks, which consists of four stages to achieve four research objectives, which are: (1) Data collection and preprocessing stage that fulfills the objective to transform the collected power consumption values and the captured ICMPv6 network traffic into a meaningful format; (2) Feature Selection stage that fulfills the objective to decrease the size of the features by selecting the most significant features that contribute to detecting sinkhole attacks; (3) Behavioral Indicators stage that fulfills the objective to identify abnormal behavior of sinkhole attacks using the features of the ICMPv6 and power consumption from the previous stage; and (4) Sinkhole Attack Detection stage that fulfills the objective to decide whether there is a sinkhole attack in two steps

Establishment Of Tissue Culture Planting Materials Of Ficus Carica L. Red Libyan Cultivar
Get PDFFicus carica L. cv. Red Libyan, a member of the Moraceae family, is a cultivar of the common fig tree known for its purplish red fruit. This variety is known for its sweet and flavoursome figs, making it popular with fig lovers and gardeners. The micropropagation of Ficus carica L. cv. Red Libyan has been successfully established through a series of systematic experiments and studies. The cultivation and propagation of Ficus carica L. cv. Red Libyan can be challenging using traditional methods. This is due to factors such as slow growth, susceptibility to diseases and limited availability of planting material. In addition, a lack of optimised tissue culture protocols specifically for this variety hinders its efficient mass multiplication and genetic improvement. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop an efficient and reproducible micropropagation protocol for this fig cultivar as well as to evaluate its morphological and genetic stability. The study included sterilisation of apical bud surfaces, regeneration of mature plantlets and in vitro propagation with different growth regulators and culture conditions. In particular, the combination of 20 μM TDZ + 1 μM NAA + 1.0 g L-1 activated charcoal medium showed the most favourable growth parameters, including shoot length, leaf number, root number and root length. Red:blue LED light was found to promote higher shoots during plantlet development. An acclimatisation protocol was successfully carried out and resulted in a 100 % survival rate of the plantlets

ESG activities have grown in popularity, and more companies are disclosing their ESG activities to indicate their engagement in social responsibility and to attract more investors. In China, over 40 years of economic reform have transformed the country into the biggest developing country in the world. However, although the number of listed companies in China has increased dramatically in the last decade, information transparency about their ESG activities has been lacking. The disclosure rate of independent ESG reports has remained around 25%, far lower than that of the developed Western countries. However, ESG disclosure in China is largely voluntary on the part of enterprises, and the factors influencing the motivation of corporate ESG disclosure are unclear

Get PDFPhonological accommodation, or phonological convergence, describes the
phenomenon where individuals adjust their speech styles to align more closely with
their interlocutor's speech. This thesis delves into the impact of three social variables—
origin, sex, and attitudes—on phonological accommodation, using the phonological
variables (q), (D), (Θ), and (ð) as indicators of salience to examine this phenomenon.
A total of 60 participants were selected using a quota sampling method, and data was
gathered through a structured questionnaire that is divided into four sections:
demographic, identification, phonological variables use, and attitude. and in-depth
interviews with twelve respondents, evenly distributed by origin and sex. The
questionnaire and interview data were analyzed descriptively, while the attitude
section of the questionnaire used Likert scale that rates from strongly agree (1) to
strongly disagree (5). The findings revealed distinct patterns of phonological
convergence. Females from rural Palestinian backgrounds showed complete
convergence to the urban speech form, whereas their Horani counterparts exhibited
partial convergence to the urban variety. Males from rural Palestinian backgrounds
tended to adopt the Horani local variant of the (Q) variable, while remaining
conservative with the other phonological variables
