Pembelajaran kemahiran lompat kijang melalui pendekatan berpaksikan kekangan
A review on the detection methods of the resistant gene in Acinetobacter baumannii
The rising prevalence of Multidrug-Resistant (MDR) Acinetobacter baumannii, particularly in hospital environments, has become a global health concern due to its capacity to cause severe infections and its resistance to conventional antibiotics. This article reviews the detection methods for the resistant genes, focusing on carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAB), where various phenotypic, molecular, and advanced diagnostic technologies, with particular attention to Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) assays based on Quantum Dots (QDs) and Graphene Oxide (GO), are reviewed. These nanoparticle-based FRET assays show promising potential for rapid, sensitive, and multiplex detection of antibiotic resistance genes, offering significant improvements over traditional methods. In particular, integrating QDs and GO as donor-acceptor pairs in FRET allows real-time detection and high specificity of a key determinant of carbapenem resistance in A. baumannii. Adopting these advanced diagnostic tools could revolutionise infection control and management, providing timely and accurate diagnostics that are crucial in clinical settings

Bridging heritage and modernity: A comparative study of traditional Chinese and western flower-and-bird paintings
The research paper investigates the minute intricacies of the correlation between cultural philosophies and aesthetic traditions by conducting a comparative analysis of the flower-and-bird motifs between traditional Chinese and Western paintings. The research uses the theory of Erwin Panofsky's Iconography and Iconology framework to examine the painting techniques which include brushstrokes, color, and composition that identify the way these elements reflect the broader cultural attitude towards nature. Chinese paintings, especially the ones relating to the Chang ’an School are known to be rooted in the Daoist and Confucian philosophies. This emphasizes harmony, interconnectedness, and balance. On the contrary, Western artworks of the same motif by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet focus on emotional depth through individual perspective and resonance. The paper conducts qualitative research through the incorporation of primary research data from the various artworks from both Chinese and Western artists as well as secondary data from existing academic literature which helped to analyses the symbolic and visual details. The primary findings of the research show that Chinese art is more focused on universal moral philosophies that use symbolic motifs whereas the Western approach priorities personal expression and highlights the transience of natural beauty. The paper concludes with a final recommendation for future research into the influence of globalization and digital technology on the traditional artistic forms and techniques which foster hybrid styles and create connectivity between the East and the West

Investigating EEG-based neurofeedback for cognitive enhancement in remote learning
This research examines the effectiveness of neurofeedback in improving attention in remote learning environments using the passive brain computer interface (BCI). Participants had three EEG-based neurofeedback training sessions, receiving immediate feedback on their cognitive states to improve attention and diminish inattentiveness by self-regulating brain activity. The results indicated substantial enhancements in attention during the sessions, as shown by elevated beta and gamma activity, which are essential for attention regulation and cognitive processing. Power spectral density (PSD) measurement demonstrated sustained increased brainwave power over time, corroborating individuals’ capacity to modify brain activity successfully. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a single factor revealed a significant increase in attention levels throughout sessions (F (2„ 27) = 95.06, p < 0.0001), with post-hoc Tukey’s tests demonstrating considerable improvements between Sessions 1 and 3 (mean difference = 5.261, p = 0.001). The beta and gamma activity study corroborated the participants’ cognitive engagement enhancement, evidenced by less inattentiveness and improved higher-order processing. The negligible latency in processing real-time feedback guaranteed that the feedback stayed pertinent to the task. This study underscores the efficacy of neurofeedback as a valuable instrument for improving attention and cognitive engagement in online learning settings. Future studies should investigate long-term impacts, individualized feedback systems, and the incorporation of additional cognitive training methodologies to optimize the advantages of neurofeedback in educational setting
Adiabatic combustion chamber pyrolysis for palm kernel shell biochar production
The rapid expansion of the palm oil industry has raised concerns about the increasing generation of waste, particularly Palm Kernel Shells (PKS). However, these byproducts present promising opportunities for conversion into valuable resources such as charcoal. To facilitate this process, a combustion chamber was designed and constructed to conduct pyrolysis for PKS charcoal production. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the combustion chamber in consistently reaching and maintaining a temperature of 600˚C using mangrove wood as fuel. Additionally, the quality of PKS charcoal was assessed by measuring its electrical resistance with an ohm meter, providing a quantitative indicator of carbonization. The calorific value of charcoal briquettes produced from powdered PKS charcoal was also analyses. Performance testing of the combustion chamber revealed that it achieved a maximum temperature of 795˚C at T1 and 671˚C at T2, confirming its capability to sustain the pyrolysis process. The measured electrical resistance of the PKS charcoal was 1.73Ω, indicating low resistance and, consequently, a high-quality charcoal product. The moisture content of the PKS charcoal was determined to be 4%, signifying a relatively low moisture level, which is crucial for maintaining high charcoal quality. Furthermore, the calorific value of the PKS charcoal was found to be 21.552 MJ/Kg, categorizing it as a moderate-to-high-quality fuel source. Charcoal with a higher calorific value releases more energy during combustion. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that palm kernel shell waste from the palm oil sector can be effectively converted into high-quality charcoal, highlighting its potential as a valuable and sustainable resource
