Architectour.net.
SUMMARY The portal Architectour.net, online magazine and database, tries to make available the whole existing knowledge and all the instruments of the critical reflection needed in the field of modern and contemporary architecture, allowing "direct" knowledge of the architectural works in a documentary sense. The thematic content of the online magazine, is related with cards of works contained in the database through links that allow to enrich individual research, suggesting specific pathways. The portal Architectour.net intends to be a tool of reference for scholars, students and professionals but also enthusiasts can benefit from its consultation
Monopole condensation in two-flavour Adjoint QCD
SUMMARY In QCD with adjoint fermions (aQCD) the deconfining transition takes place at
a lower temperature than the chiral transition. We study the two transitions by
use of the Polyakov Loop, the monopole order parameter and the chiral
condensate. The deconfining transition is first order, the chiral is a
crossover. The order parameters for confinement are not affected by the chiral
transition. We conclude that the degrees of freedom relevant to confinement are
different from those describing chiral symmetry
Non-Abelian Vortices without Dynamical Abelianization
Vortices carrying truly non-Abelian flux moduli, which do not dynamically
reduce to Abelian vortices, are found in the context of softly-broken supersymmetric chromodynamics (SQCD). By tuning the bare quark masses
appropriately we identify the vacuum in which the underlying SU(N) gauge group
is partially broken to SU(n) \times SU(r) \times U(1)/{\mathbbm Z}_{K}, where
is the least common multiple of , and with and
flavors of light quark multiplets. At much lower energies the
gauge group is broken completely by the squark VEVs, and vortices develop which
carry non-Abelian flux moduli . For we argue
that the SU(n) fluctuations become strongly coupled and Abelianize, while
leaving weakly fluctuating flux moduli. This allows us to recognize the
semi-classical origin of the light non-Abelian monopoles found earlier in the
fully quantum-mechanical treatment of 4D SQCD
Analytic continuation in two-color QCD: new results on the critical line
We test the method of analytic continuation from imaginary to real chemical
potential in two-color QCD, which is free from the sign problem. In particular,
we consider the analytic continuation of the critical line to real values of
the chemical potential
Non-Abelian vortices and monopoles in SO(N) theories
Non-Abelian BPS vortex solutions are constructed in N=2 theories with gauge
groups SO(N)\times U(1). The model has N_f flavors of chiral multiplets in the
vector representation of SO(N), and we consider a color-flavor locked vacuum in
which the gauge symmetry is completely broken, leaving a global SO(N)_{C+F}
diagonal symmetry unbroken. Individual vortices break this symmetry, acquiring
continuous non-Abelian orientational moduli. By embedding this model in
high-energy theories with a hierarchical symmetry breaking pattern such as
SO(N+2) --> SO(N)\times U(1) --> 1, the correspondence between non-Abelian
monopoles and vortices can be established through homotopy maps and flux
matching, generalizing the known results in SU(N) theories. We find some
interesting hints about the dual (non-Abelian) transformation properties among
the monopoles
On the phase diagram of the Higgs SU(2) model
SUMMARY The Higgs SU(2) model with fixed Higgs length is usually believed to have two
different phases at high gauge coupling (\beta), separated by a line of first
order transitions but not distinuguished by any typical symmetry associated
with a local order parameter, as first proved by Fradkin and Shenker. We show
that in regions of the parameter space where it is usually supposed to be a
first order phase transition only a smooth crossover is in fact present
The roles of System Dynamics in environmental problem solving
The presente Technical Report contains a few notes about the roles of System Dynamics for the solution of environmental problems. It is not an introduction to System Dynamics. More about the content in the abstract. Reports of errors and inaccuracies are gratefully appreciated
Participative methods and consensus theory
The present Technical Report contains a concise analysis of some participatory methods and a discussion of the bold;method of consensusas a formal tool for decisionmaking. The treatment is kept at an informal and colloquial level with the aim to be precise and concise.Thei Technical Report relies mainly on classical results, so that it may be considered as a real primer on these topics, but contains also novel materials and results.Reports of errors and inaccuracies are greatefully appreciated

SUMMARY: This interdisciplinary paper about St. Leopold am Steinhof gives the opportunity of a debate regarding architecture, religion and psychiatry in fin-de-siècle Vienna. The essay starts from other critical publications about art, science and culture in Vienna, but has the new aim to focus on a particular matter: the attention devoted from psychiatry to the spiritual dimension of the man at the beginning of the XXth century. The church designed by Otto Wagner and built in 1907 is the main example of a place of worship in a new psychiatric complex
