    The impact of social media marketing towards Nazla Enterprise

    The aim of this research is to examine the effect of social media marketing activities on Naz. In addition, it has been aimed to analyse the effect of brand awareness and brand image on brand loyalty in this research. The population of the research consists of the consumers who actively follow “Nazla Food” on Facebook. In this research, both quantitative and qualitative method have been used and research data has been obtained via online questionnaires shared on social media. The obtained data have been analysed. As a result of the analysis, social media marketing activities have been found as effective factors on brand loyalty, besides it has been determined that the most obvious effect seen on brand awareness

    Integrated circuit design of a multiplier-accumulator for convolutional neural network based on carry-save adder architecture

    Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are hierarchical biologically-inspired models that may be taught to perform a variety of detection, identification, and segmentation tasks. The key processing requirements in the CNNs process are the multiplier-accumulator (MAC) operations in the convolution layer. A perfect fusion of various multipliers and adders would yield an ideal MAC for CNNs' convolution layer. Besides this, different kernel mask sizes are required throughout the convolution layer in CNNs, depending on demand. In general, each size of kernel mask requires a unique MAC architectural configuration, thus lengthening the time spent in research and development. To overcome this problem, a flexible MAC design has been developed that allows users to choose between different sizes depending on the requirements of the CNNs. This method, known as Selective Kernel Size, may activate kernel sizes from 1x1 to 7x7. This thesis also proposes a new MAC architecture called Mulitplier- Accumulator with Carry-Save-Adder (MACcsa ) to improve the MAC performance by efficiently computing the sum of three or more bits of input. Each proposed design is synthesized to Silterra 180 nm technology, and the time, power consumption, and cell area are all compared. Selective Kernel Size architecture demonstrates a substantial gain in terms of cell area and power from 56% to 80% when compared to mixing different sizes of MAC design in specific CNNs network, with some degradation in time delay. When comparing the classical addition structure to the proposed MAC with the CSA structure, results show that while the MAC with CSA is only slightly faster than the classical MAC, the power and cell area are improved by 4% to 10%

    Digital marketing intervention to improve customer Engagement in Martion Restaurant

    The purpose of this study is to improve the customer engagement in Martion Restaurant using the digital marketing strategies. Action research was applied in the study and an intervention plan was designed to examine the digital marketing to improve the customer engagement in Martion Restaurant. The study used a mixed method for data collection which consists of qualitative and quantitative approaches. For the qualitative approaches, it involved 2 participants and for the quantitative approaches, the sample size was 384 respondents from the population that was assumed to have approximately 1,000,000 individuals. Those respondents will be used in this study for the primary data collection. The data collected from the mixed method will be analyzed using the SPSS and NVivo software. The findings from this study found that the intervention in digital marketing could improve the customer engagement in Martion Restaurant.There is difference before and after intervention as the followers of Martion page increased and also the engagement of users increased. Besides, after the intervention was applied in Martion Restaurant, there is a difference in sales performance since the sales performance before was not in a good condition and now the sales performance has increased

    The inclusive design of content management system for Klik Dengan Bijak

    The purpose of this research is to measure the implementation of a content management system to improve the effectiveness of Klik Dengan Bijak awareness. It aims to identify the issues related to the effectiveness of Klik Dengan Bijak among its targeted audiences, to implement the intervention to increase the effectiveness of Klik Dengan Bijak and to recommend a plan to increase Klik Dengan Bijak‟s audience reached through the content management system. The study used the mix method approach. The study was divided into two stages, a qualitative study was conducted for Cycle 1, to identify the problems and to propose the interventions. In the second stage, quantitative analysis was used to measure the effectiveness of the intervention in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2. For the qualitative study, the thematic analysis approach was used for data analysis using NVivo software. To obtain quantitative data, an online survey questionnaire was distributed to 33 users. A descriptive and T-test analysis were carried out using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Consequently, the triangulation approach was used to combine all quantitative and qualitative results to produce a reliable outcome. Based on the observation, there is a difference between the mean and standard deviation ratings for both before and after implementing the intervention. Hence, the null hypothesis was rejected and the result showed that there is a difference between before and after the intervention implementation. In Cycle 2 Action Research, a quantitative method was used in this analysis. An online survey questionnaire was distributed to 29 users. A descriptive and T-test analysis has been carried out using SPSS software. New intervention has been implemented in Cycle 2; to provide awareness for the content management system to increase the audience reached for Klik Dengan Bijak. There was positive improvement before and after intervention implementation, indicating that all three of our objectives were successfully achieved

    Pusat Ekonomi Digital Malaysia(PEDi), formerly known as Pusat Internet Komuniti, a project by MCMC acts as a catalyst for local entrepreneur development to boost and contribute to the development of the digital economy in Malaysia. The impact of the pandemic Covid-19 is enormous on the global economy. The use of technology has grown, and digitalization has impacted nearly all aspects and levels of life. The urban people may adapt much quicker to this change, but rural people may need help to adjust. Previous literature has revealed a significant relationship between rural entrepreneurship and ICT knowledge among the instruments to eliminate poverty. This study aims to asses and improve the ICT acceptance level among the community in Beaufort through digital entrepreneurship. This action research targets the community in the district of Beaufort where MCMC has 6 Pusat Ekonomi Digital Keluarga Malaysia. This study’s data will be collected through a mixed method. The data sources will also be from literature reviews, documents, expert opinions, and trends observation on successful entrepreneurship development for the community. The outcome of this study is an intervention program to improve the ICT acceptance level through digital entrepreneurship in the rural community of Beaufort

    Medical equipment tracking system using hybrid QR code, wi-fi and ultra-wideband

    Tracking technology is getting widely used in hospitals and is expected to assist in tracing the location of medical equipment and preventing medical equipment from loss or misplacement. However, the current tracking devices have some drawbacks such as low accuracy, low coverage area and high power consumption. The objective of this study is to develop a new hybrid tracking system to overcome these drawbacks. A new tracker device that uses Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) as the main module which has a high level of accuracy was developed and tested in this study. This study also presented several methods for improving the coverage area of the new tracker system, such as mapping the Received Signal Strength (RSS) of DWM1001-UWB anchors, combining it with an ESP8266-Wi-Fi module for a wider range of coverage area and using QR Code as a backup solution when the UWB and Wi-Fi modules are not working optimally. Additionally, this study has also optimized the battery life of the new tracker by removing the responsive mode of the UWB module. The new tracker was tested in a simulation-lab environment. The data of the movement of the tracker was collected in the JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) form and has been visualized by using Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) method to the web-application. It was discovered that the new tracker has an accuracy of 74.6 mm-113.6 mm. It was also discovered that combining UWB with Wi-Fi and QR-Code as a hybrid system with one web-application can improve the tracker's coverage area. The battery lifetime of the new tracker was also estimated based on the type of usage and this can assist in ensuring that the tracker is constantly operating and does not lose signal due to running out of power. Results showed that with the typical active usage of 8 hours/day, the new tracker is capable of operating for 14.7 months. This study has succeeded in realizing a new hybrid tracker system with higher accuracy, higher coverage area and lower power consumption, consisting of UWB as the main module, with Wi-Fi module and QR-Code as a backup solution. The new tracker can become a single unit board and integrated in a single web-application

    Modelling and simulation of axial-virtual cathode oscillator using matlab simulink

    This thesis presents the modelling and simulation of an Axial-Virtual Cathode Oscillator (Axial-VIRCATOR), using the MATLAB Simulink software package. One dimensional model of VIRCATOR has been implemented by using mathematical model based on Child-Langmuir Law that describes the charge, charge density, current, voltage, power and efficiency of the VIRCATOR as a function of its mechanical parameters. Hence, the Axial-VIRCATOR model was chosen where its mechanical parameters such as cathode radius, anode-cathode (A/K) gap and tube diameter were evaluated. In order to adjust the tuning characteristics of the VIRCATOR tube which need to achieve the optimal output microwave power, energy and efficiency, the operation's frequencies were chosen carefully to be 4.0, 6.0, 6.3 and 8.0 GHz. Thus are the most crucial of factors to be investigated in this work. Other quantities such as the beam current, beam radius, cathode radius and transparency were derived in the analytical model and found to be in agreement with the simulation results which influencing the power efficiency, such as the anodetransparency factor Ta and the dispersion factor. Analysis results showed significant improvement of the efficiency, output power and the radiated energy of microwave output which are 43.94%, 11.64 GW and 2.4 Joules (1.5x10 13 MeV) respectively. This was achieved by carefully choosing the resonance characteristics of the VIRCATOR tube especially the influence of the relativistic component in the charge density solution, which shows a close approximation to the input current closest to the relativistic beam. The results showed by the simulation were compared to an up to date experimental publications and found to be compatible. An error calculation criterion has been implemented which shows minimum error values of -0.01 dB for the input voltage of 600 kV and this was agreed with the relativistic solution considered in this work

    Geospatial approach for disaster business continuity plan for micro, small and medium enterprise in Malaysia

    The increasing number of disasters due to rapid urbanization, population growth, and extreme climate change resulted significant impacts in economic losses, business activities and their continuity. The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) undoubtedly serve as the backbone of many economies worldwide. In Malaysia, 98.5% of business establishments are MSMEs oriented, and the sectors contributed to 41% of the country’s Growth Domestic Product (GDP) development. Despite the significant contribution of MSMEs to the country’s GDP and the livelihood of the community, the absence of an integrated approach and practical framework is still at infancy stage to protect assets and support the MSMEs from direct and indirect impacts of disasters. The growing body of literature on business continuity and MSMEs resilience indicate an increased focus on research works to understand the disaster-based business continuity plan (DBCP) focusing on MSMEs resiliency. Therefore, this study aims to achieve the following objectives, (1) to identify metrics of MSMEs businesses in relation to multi-hazards, (2) to improve Business Impact Analysis (BIA) component in the DBCP framework using the GIS analyses (Geo-BIA) supported by local and expert knowledge, and (3) to develop a comprehensive conceptual DBCP framework emphasizing MSMEs in multi-hazard areas. Through systematic literature review, a conceptual framework of DBCP focusing on MSMEs was co-developed and assessed through a series of fieldwork. Three case study areas in West Coast of Sabah, namely (1) Kota Belud, (2) Ranau (Kundasang), and (3) Kota Kinabalu were accessed. A total of 80 respondents sampled from local MSMEs participated in the guided interview session and questionnaire survey. Assessment to determine metrics for economic, social, and environment was evaluated using the Descriptive and Frequency Analysis and the factors for MSMEs’ resilience were analyzed using Relative Importance Index (RII) value and interpretation. The results show that MSMEs resilience to disasters in all three case study areas are strongly linked to MSMEs’ local knowledge together with intervention and support from related government agencies, including those with strong fundamentals on BCP development. GIS Network Analysis for disaster event simulation and outputs demonstrated that each case study area is facing different disaster types. The main focus is on infrastructure disruption (e.g., inundated main roads due to flooding, water intake problems, and alternative temporary shelter for affected MSMEs). This study designed the operational framework of Geo-BIA, the first of its kind in Malaysia and serves the main element in developing the DBCP framework. These findings were then integrated into the DBCP conceptual framework, which was further validated through experts’ engagement and semi-structured interviews. Multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary experts in BCP and DRR consists of academicians, practitioners, international and local government officials participated in the validation process. Index Analysis was adopted to determine the suitability of the proposed components of the DBCP framework. This research developed an integrated framework consists of MSMEs’ capital of economic, social and environmental in problem-solving phase, together with the Geo- BIA operational framework and key deliverables of DBCP. This practical framework can be used as to accelerate the implementation of BCP in vulnerable areas and to help local MSMEs to rebuild and boost their businesses, even during disaster in Malaysia. This research supports the development of national DRR and resilience strategies, translating a build-back-better concept into practice, and promoting resilient culture, as listed in the UNDRR Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030

    It is a known fact that electronic records and digital records are widely replacing paper records; hence, proper storage is a must for future references. This paves the way for the creation of novel theoretical record-keeping models, newer electronic record-keeping standards, and the ever-evolving development of electronic record-keeping technologies to be used internally in organisations. The usage rate, acceptance and implementation of electronic record keeping solutions by end-users vary significantly, and it has become a problem. This could be attributed to the legal requirements, the exponential increase of electronic records, and the implication of trustworthy electronic record keeping to individuals, organisations, and societies. Subsequently, this study aims to address the issue above by determining the variables that impact users" decision to utilise an electronic record-keeping system. A crucial task in any research project is defining its core objectives or questions. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, this research has employed a mix method research strategy and with help the help of previous study, observation, analysis, comparison and reasoning. Significant amount of research has been dedicated to studying the systems used in various situations. A survey instrument was developed and administered to a selected sample of employers from the Communication and Multimedia Commission (“MCMC”). This is done in order to evaluate the research model quantitatively and to determine the relative importance of the factors. By identifying the factors that impact the use of electronic record-keeping systems, this research will inform future strategies to improve the capture and retention of our digital heritage. Finally, establish connections between organizational processes and knowledge activities is critical for gaining a competitive edge and securing agency credibility

    The improvement of modelling in carbonate reservoir by dual porosity via geological and engineering approach

    Carbonate heterogeneity has complex post-depositional diagenesis, superimposed on the original microstructures inherited from the initial deposition environment during sedimentation. This causes massive complexity in pore shape, pore size, pore connectivity, and distribution of pores in carbonate, which leads to the complexity in carbonate reservoir modelling domestically. The porosities of carbonate rocks can be separated into three types: macro-porosity (connected porosity), mesoporosity (unconnected vugs and pores result from diagenesis dissolution) and micro-porosity (isolated porosity). This thesis focuses to propose an improved dual porosity carbonate modelling approach. The main contribution of this work is to determine the method to recognize and quantify dual porosity in carbonate through six (6) information that can be obtained from a reservoir, namely geological core description and photomicrographs, RCA and SCAL analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance NMR, mercury-injection capillary pressure MICP, pressure transient analysis and a bonus for brownfield, production pressure profile. To test the effectiveness to quantify dual porosity, Field B in Central Luconia, Sarawak is selected as a study candidate. Data from conventional core provide direct observation of the rock pore geometry via photomicrograph, a diagenetic process which leads to segregation of macro and micro-porosity. Other petrophysical properties obtained via routine core analysis (RCA) and special core analysis (SCAL) provide the reservoir poro-perm condition. The mercury injection capillary pressure (MICP) curves translate the reservoir pore throat efficiency into macro and micro-porosity. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) T2 relaxation distribution yields a bimodal trend for the dual-porosity reservoir. The pressure derivative transient analysis graph exhibits a Vshape yielding a dual-porosity reservoir. The pressure surveillance plot in the brownfield shows a flattening pressure depletion trend indicating microporosity charging to the production. These results are incorporated into a multiscale model and the simulation matches the reservoir's historical data and the type of dual porosity is identified as a matrix (connected) – matrix (isolated) type. Identifying the dual porosity in the carbonate reservoir enables the management to understand the reservoir hydrocarbon production and subsequently, lay out a proper reservoir management plan
