Evaluating the impact of crisis management leadership on business continuity from an islamic perspective
This article aimed to shed light on contemporary administrative thought and Islamic administrative thought that relate to crisis leadership and the continuity of service provision. The leader must have some characteristics in order to face the crisis, and this is what Islamic and contemporary thoughts discuss: that one should have advance planning, efficiency, experience and the necessary skills, but Islam added that he must be patient and have honesty in leading the crisis to achieve effective management. Major limitations of this study are the time and geographical limitations required to conduct this study. The researcher seeks to make his study a new addition in the field of public administration
Sources of the values of the noble qur’an according to orientalists: value`s sources of knowledge as a model
Qur’an in mainstream of oriental studies is studied as a historical text created through many cultural sources. This understanding included even Qur’anic values and ethics, and it means that Qur’an is not revealed book. Franz Rosenthal, the German orientalist has given such hypothesis in his study of knowledge in Qur’an. He has supposed that Gnostic doctrines were the cultural source of Knowledge conception in Qur’an. Gnostic doctrines were either but their Christian or Jewish or Mandean or even Arab Paganism of Pre-Islam era. This paper negates these hypotheses by observing structure of these sources through historical methodology. Obviously, there are either tenuous evidence or nothing about historical existence of these sources in Pre-Islamic Arabia or at least Hijaz area where Islam spread from to all around. As a result, this paper approve that Qur’anic conception of Knowledge does not belong to any external source. Importance of this study is due to lack of studies of Orientalists studies of Qur’anic ethics and values
An application of Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) tomography system for gemological industry - a review
Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) is a semiconductor chip with a light-sensitive sensor. The CCD has been used in many fields of engineering, including astronomy, medical sciences and processing. CCD is capable to detect light sources and convert this analogue signal into electrical signal. CCD is an integrated circuit that contains a large number of small photo elements with high sensitivity to light energy. The main focus of this research paper is on the review of CCD basic operating principle and construction, CCD characteristic, and the application of CCD in tomography system. The potential use of CCD in the gemological industry is also highlighted in this paper. Gemology is one of the important industries that considered profitable and crucial that deals with precious stones. This industry is in need of standardized grading valuation of gemstones as the current technique is prone to errors. An approach to the standardized grading technique is proposed where CCD tomography is used to detect and analyze the light distribution characteristic in ruby stones

Impedimetric sensor for cooking oil discernment based on planar electromagnetic sensor array
This paper presents an investigation of the use of an impedimetric sensor which can be used to distinguish several types of cooking oils for three types of conditions such as characterization, adulteration, and the amount of usage for deep-frying conditions, utilizing the parallel configured planar electromagnetic sensor array with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique. The planar electromagnetic sensor was designed by combining two types of sensors which are an interdigital sensor and a meander sensor as the interface to interact with the test samples. The meander type of coil was connected in series with the interdigital sensor coil. Several types of commercial cooking oil samples were prepared. However, since commercial palm oil is commonly used by Malaysian consumers, focus is on its samples preparation for adulteration and usage conditions. The results obtained showed that the sensor was able to differentiate the samples based on the impedance spectra in the range of frequencies from 100 Hz to 5 MHz. The equivalent circuit for the planar electromagnetic sensor was determined, and the equivalent parameter units were estimated with an estimation error of less than 8%. The conductivity and relative permittivity for the cooking oil samples were calculated, and a corrective factor was used to reduce the sensor measurement error. The reliability and repeatability of the planar electromagnetic sensor was also presented in this paper
Retirement villages development business model in Malaysia
The retirement village market in Malaysia is still considered a blue ocean due to having low supply. Following the developments of retirement villages in Malaysia, it can be observed and stated that there is no single uniform business model being implemented. Evidently, there are a number of different business models being adopted in these retirement village developments. Therefore, this article aims to identify the types of business models being adopted in the development of retirement villages in Malaysia. This qualitative study was obtained through reference materials, books, past journals, past theses, newspapers, internet sources as well as past research related. As a result, there are three distinct types of business models that can be found in Malaysia, which are the sale outright model, lease for life model and rental model. The involved parties in providing and developing the retirement homes have been so mindful and creative with the implementation of their respective business models in order to come up with a formula that is successful in Malaysia
Factors influencing accounting information system adoption in small and medium-sized enterprises: a case study of Northern Ghana
Accounting Information Systems (AIS), a technology-based system, provide decision-makers with timely and reliable information. The study examines the factors influencing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) AIS adoption in Northern Ghana, where little is known about it. Direct content analysis was used to collect data, and summative content analysis was used to generate research findings. The study concentrated on the factors that influence Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) AIS adoption in Ghana. For the sake of credibility, data was collected from previous studies using prominent educational databases. Studies on AIS adoption in Ghana have revealed a lack of effectiveness. Rather of being integrated, adoption theories are either based on technology, organisations, and environment or based on humans, organisations, and technology; however, neither of these ideas integrates human, organisation, technology, and the environment. The study contributes to SMEs AIS adoption which is relatively new in Ghana. It also contributes to the sparse literature on SMEs' AIS adoption by employing four dimensions to widen knowledge
Attitudes of muslims and christians towards the Palestinian cause in the Doha conferences for interfaith dialogue
This study aims to observe the Islamic-Christian attitudes toward the Palestinian cause in the 13 Doha conferences for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) from 2003 to 2018. as one of the problems affecting the relations between the two parties. It was a subject of debate in the Islamic-Christian Interfaith dialogue conferences organized during the second half of the twentieth century due to the positions of some Christian and Catholic churches, particularly in their dealing with this issue. This study is based on Islamic-Christian opinions and speeches of Qatar as the host country during these conferences. Additionally, the personal interview with the President of the DICID, the organizer of these conferences. The study revealed that the Palestinian issue was not the main topic at these conferences. These conferences discussed the Palestinian issue and the repercussions of the Zionist occupation of Palestine, and its effect on the relations between Eastern and Western countries. Also, peace and coexistence in the region and the world in general. It was apparent the disagreement between the Islamic and Christian parties. The study used the descriptive-analytical method to monitor the attitudes of the two parties during conferences and the historical method to track the presence of the issue in the dialogue process during the second half of the 20th century. The comparative approach has also been used to show the extent of progress in the two parties' attitudes on this issue
Critical thinking in teaching arabic as a foreign language; teacher’s competence
Critical thinking is acknowledged as one of the important skills that is essential in the 21st century education. Although critical thinking is not on the mandated list of educational goals in Arabic language teaching, it has been understood as the learning outcome of all lessons. Given the importance of critical thinking, it is crucial to have a thorough grasp of what it entails. The majority of critical thinking research looks at students' critical thinking ability using a quantitative instrument that operationalizes a certain conceptualization. However, there is still limited study on the strategies used by teachers in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. The lack of such understanding makes it difficult to design effective teaching strategy and interventions. The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the elements of personal competency that Arabic language teachers need to encourage critical thinking in the classroom. In this study, semi-structured interviews were conducted on six experts in the Arabic language education at secondary school and public university. Transcriptions of the data were analyzed to generate matrix tables and themes through NVivo version.12. The findings revealed four primary themes through thematic analysis of the interview transcripts represented by 15 subthemes in terms of teacher’s personal competences; (i) content mastery competence; (ii) pedagogical competence; (iii) communication competence, and (iv) organizational competence. However, the ways in which these themes appeared varied considerably among the experts. These results point to the variety of ways in which teachers can be expected to think critically. In respect to the findings of this study, some recommendations have been proposed for upcoming researches underpinning critical thinking competence as the main focus include the diversity of research type and data analysis techniques
